It was all Political bullshit man. All of those Eastern european countries voting for each other. Turkey was original and seriously deserved to win the Eurovision 2008 Song Contest.

It has nothing to do with politics. It's about regional cultural influence. People have an ear for their neighbour's music, that's all. How would the 'political voting' work practically anyway? The president of Lithuania comes on TV the night before the contest and orders everybody to vote for Russia?!

mapusti- countries tend to vote for their neighbours and close allies, rather than voting for the best music in eurovision. of course it's not true for every country every time, but generally this is what happens... well, that's what I believe. I know there are lots of different opinions.

I totally agree with you. Every journalist that were watching to the contest said that the Portuguese song was the best. We only got 13 place all because of Russia "friends".
