  • Can the 650w handle an i7 2600k and a windforce hd7950?

  • @Artinmallproductions If you're not sure it can handle it or just want a more future proof psu just save a little extra and go for the 750w model.

  • @0peppers K nice :D

  • My next ps will be a modular one. I'm so done with cables everywhere.

  • @vBDKv that's what everybody thinks before they get one. truth is, with my modular i can barely close the lid on the cable mgmt side and have just as much spaghetti as my old one on the inside. yes, that's with the unused cables unattached. until they come out with wireless PSUs, i'm sticking to non-modular.

  • @vBDKv I don't see what the big deal is. I've have modular before and went back to standard because of cheaper cost. I can stuff the extra cables in the top of my case. Out of sight, out of mind.

  • @X6800 If your case allows you to stuff all the cables then by all means go for it. The thing with modular is convenience. And if you have a lower end case with not enough room it also helps to have less cables to avoid clutter and airflow restriction.

  • is this powerful enough for amd phenom six core 3.3ghz cpu, evga560ti graphics card, 4 fans including the cpu fan

  • @ussoldiersm316 the 650 would be more then enough.

  • @kyle589 u sure? cuz i have a 500w and the wire gets scolding hot when i play certain games so is 150w a big difference?

  • @ussoldiersm316 Yes. Is the current power supply you have an older one? Also if you do a search on google for PSU calculator you should find a few different calculators out there that will back me up.

  • @ussoldiersm316 650's more than enough for that but you'll need the 750 or above for SLI

  • I use corsair power supple for like 3 years now tx650 and it work like a charm. Never ever problems with this power supple cool and silent.

  • Will this handle my 3DFX Voodoo 5500 AGP video card?

  • Will a 650TX be enough to power a rig with 2x MSI GTX560 Ti Twin Frozr II in SLI and a i5 2500k, Corsair H60 and a few 120mm noctua fans?

  • @zzPirulito111zz It's possible but I wouldn't recommend going any lower than 750w for SLI'd 560Tis even if the PSU in question is one that's 80 Bronze from Corsair.

  • @zzPirulito111zz you need at least 750w

  • @zzPirulito111zz Dude if your getting that high of a setup I think you should fork up the $50 and get the 850w (also with sli you will need the 750w) just so you have a little wiggle room to upgrade in the future (also if you OC) and if you want my 2 cents I assume you havent built this setup yet but unless your crazy for Physx i would suggest going with crossfire 6950's cause from benches ive seen crossfire seems to pull more out of the slave card than SLI

  • @zzPirulito111zz Yeah,it will.

Anymore than 650w is overkill for that build.

  • @zzPirulito111zz we have the same build. but im using the tx850 for upgrade headrooms

  • how long is the sata ? i ask because old power supply, sata was too short to reach where i can't use it on the dvd burner and i had to use extension cord.

  • does anyone knows if this will work with Intel (Pentium D 2.8 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 250 GB HDD)? ill be upgrading the processor soon...

  • @AxAznGuyTony26 might want to upgrade the ram first

  • @TheJimmyman888 nevermind it works but i do need to add more ram... i have two slots left.

  • will the 850 run 7970 crossfire

  • @xmacain What the hell is wrong with you? The comments 3 under yours tells the answer to your question. Don't expect someone to just give answers if you are not even willing to turn your eyes downward.

  • can a 850 handle two black edition 7970's? if not does anyone know any good 1000w ones

  • @crazychainsaw007 HX 1050

  • @crazychainsaw007 yes a 850w can handle that

  • @crazychainsaw007 i think it will handle.and if you want good power supplay i reccomended the corsair hx 1000w.corsair makes really good psu

  • @buzz9961 Ax series is better than hx

  • @silvervolt7 yeah but i dont think that they did a 1000w of ax psu.i found just 1200w

  • @buzz9961 They do up to 850, then jump to 1200.

And honestly, you're not going to use 1000w unless you're running something like tri-sli or quad-sli.

  • @LatestGamesGameplays it pretty much means everything will fit and work together. for example, 99% of motherboards out there are either atx or microATX, which means that they will fit in any computer case that is ATX. the only time you see something that isnt ATX is like an xbox circuit board because it is specifically designed to fit inside of that particular xbox case.

  • @LatestGamesGameplays Advanced Technology eXtended, which is basically the "new" universal standard when building computers. It lets you look at a part you might want, like a case, motherboard, and PSU, and if it says ATX you'll know all three are compatible, with some minor exceptions.

  • @LatestGamesGameplays If it's an ATX style case you'll be able to, but a lot of dell cases I've seen make all their own crap and their own PSU's so it wouldn't be easy or practical.

  • Fvck... google dont translat "wtf he talking"

  • plus an i5

  • will a 650 be able to run a 2 560 ti's in sli? (using molex to 6pin adaptors)

  • @stlthypancakes Barely if at all. Go with the 750 and save yourself the stress.

  • Comment removed

  • no I disagree he should promote the internals to sell it not talk about power cords and stuff thats written on the website under details. fail

  • Will those power supplies work on 220v? If yes, must I manually switch voltage or will it do it automatically?

  • Can't you talk about something important, like what the internal parts are, why don't you test them to see what their real stats are. You basically derped around with it talking about connectors and black paint, and what the box says. Tell us whats not written down do your job better

  • @StrightCaptianMo cuz they are selling the stuff. they want to make money.

  • Could i put this with a slimline PC i'd leave it out of the case but just want to know if you can have TOO much power for a small PC?

  • why is the text upside down O_O

  • @lolzxDrofl both sides have different sided text. some people mount the fan up, some people down.

  • @lolzxDrofl most cases today have the PSU mounted at the bottom of the case and flipped so that the fan part is facing down inhaling fresh air

  • i just bought a TX750M today... It's just an AWESOME PSU !!!

  • Why is the 650W version the only one that has 2 PCI-E 6+2 connectors, the 650w can handle SLIing 560Ti so how come it only has 2 connectors only ????

  • i got a tx 750w when i wanted a modular hx 750w.damn

  • Will the 650 watt be enough for core i5 2500k and 570 gtx?

  • @mangowarrior Yes, but I'd go for the 750w if you plan on overclocking.

  • @MrMonkeyCrumpets Thanks for answering that, I had the same question, but I'm getting the 560 ti. lol Thanks though!

  • which PSU out of these 3 would be that best for a system with a Phenom II X4 955 and 6850 crossfire?

  • @Kurdrenko The 650, my good man.

  • @MwRWrestling A 650W should probably be fine but I'd go with the 850 for expandibility.

  • @ArcticInfinity I will just ask u, what du u think i will need,

    GTX 590 OC

    Core i5 2500k OC

    SSD 120

    1 TB WD HDD

    (4) 120 mm fans and (3) 140 mm fans

    16 GIG ddr3 1600mhz ram

Will 850 W this model be enough and a bit more if i want to put another HDD ?

  • @xXTobbe1337Xx At least 1000 watt

  • @ArcticInfinity u sure? its sounds a lot :P

  • @xXTobbe1337Xx 850W will definately be enough for you, no worries. If you want reassurance check out this vid with a guy explaining why it's fine with 850W for a system similar to yours but with DUAL GTX580 graphics cards.

    /watch?v=c2gZ8er-3cs

  • @xXTobbe1337Xx Not really but with a 590, you will need a higher end PSU.

  • Will it easily fit in a Full Tower case?

  • Bought it a week ago, great psu but neweggs video said it was modular. NOT!

I paid good money for it for the TX850, its great but the wires ..... i dont have a huge case so it looks horrible since i had to hang them out since they dont fit inside!

btw what are the floppy connectors for?

  • @Danny7930 floppy drives and card readers dont know about card readers though

  • Is this a good PSU? personal opinions anyone? I'm considering it as I am building my first major PC soon.

  • @lancsno1 Yeah, it has solid build quality and good performance. Also, it's Corsair, not some no-name brand so you're guaranteed to find help on the internet if something goes wrong.

But it isn't modular, meaning you're gonna have a lot of cables. Modular PSU's cost more, but they are often better too. Also, since this is your first build, connecting everything to the PSU becomes so much easier with modular ones. Corsair has the AX series, which I think is modular.

    I personally have the TX850.

  • @lancsno1 what a stupid question. Of course its a good power supply, one of the best. Corsair are one of the best brands out there.

  • what are its dimensions?

  • @FlyingSujin67 Try watching the video.

  • yes there are atx psu

  • will the 650w fit in any atx mid towers?

  • @s0ul2m4g1c Yes, as they are all to ATX standard.

  • @s0ul2m4g1c they're all the same size, the 850 will fit into a small case.

  • I got this 750w its really quite, it also has long cables

  • Does it have 3 pin fan connectors ? Thnx

  • @rvds1289 my version 1 tx650 does

  • @TheAntman2006 Hi thnx for your reply, I bought the 850 verison today but it doesnt have 3 pin connectors. So i had to put some 3 pin to molex cables from zalman in my case. Strange enough..my old BeQuiet! 600W has 2- 3-pin connectors. Anyway this is a good powersup.

  • I ordered my TX650v2 today at noon so on Wednesday it should arrive. I have a Cooler Master RS-460-PCAR-J3 from Newegg which was in my case and it is a DOA. I RMA'd my first one which got fried and came back with an even worse problem (DOA) so I said screw this cheap thing and bought the best for a budget. My old PSU might not be compatible with just my motherboard so I'm keeping my 460watt PSU. This is my first build so once it works, I should be satisfied after my long wait since ordering my

  • Wow. That 750 is huge. I wonder if it will fit in my case...

  • is there any requirements to change your power supply? i mean a compatibility?

  • I has the TX750. Shipping was a tad late but thanks anyways Newegg :P

  • @FanOfKOTOKO Isn't it huge? I want to get it but it looks realllllyyy big.

  • @TheMumsis It's not big, no.

  • can the 750 run: i5 2500k, sli msi 560-ti hawk?

  • @danman789 yes it will very easily but if i was you i would upgrade to the 850 watt because it will be quiter and it will make it easier to upgrade, also its only 20 bucks more so its a no brainer

  • @legitman207 alright, thanks~ its people like you that make the internet a better place

  • @danman789 ohh yeaaa

  • Does this support SLI or Crossfire?

  • @SecretName25 any PSU can be SLI or CF ready if you have enough power for 2 GPU and enough plug (PCIE or molex with adaptor)

  • i have i7 2600k and i might get an extra hd 6970 and run crossfire. do you think this psu will work well?

  • @shadowpimppf Yes, it will run them fine :)

  • GTX580 i7 2600K Will a 750 W be enough?

  • @kukuricaman For a single 580?

    Yeah, without a doubt.

  • @UnknownXV And if I added another 580 in SLI, will 850 W be enough? BTW thanx for quick reply :)

  • @kukuricaman No problem.

Understand that the graphics card is the most intensive hardware component. For one card, 850 Watts is more than enough, for two, it's pushing it. You will probably still be able to run it though.

How many AMPs are on the 12+ volt rail? Also, is it a single rail or are there multiple ones? This is important. Amps indicate the flow of electricity. Watts are how much power is available. Picture it as a dam, Watts are the quantity of water, amps are the flow itself.

  • @UnknownXV I would buy the CORSAIR TX850 V2 it has 70 Amps on the 12+ volt rail. Do you think It will handle a i5 sandy bridge and two GTX 580-s ?

  • @kukuricaman I would say yes, most likely, but I would go with a 950 watt, just to be safe.

  • I7 2600k 4.6ghz, xfx 6960, i will be adding another 6950 and was wondering if i had to buy the 850w psu, i currently have the tx750

  • @danman789

750 will do just fine I think, but not 100% sure.

  • @danman789 You likely will be able to run two cards, as it's a very high quality PSU. I'd go for the 850 just to be safe, but I would not be surprised at all if you can run it well with the 750.

  • Think I'm going to replace my current PSU with the TX650 v2 next week.

  • I want the TX 750..

    Specs;

    i5 2400 3.10 GHZ

    Nvidia geforce GTX 560 TI

Please help, Would this do? Would this supply fit my case? I own a 500 watt ATX 2.3 85plus (Fortron)

  • @CaptainP00face I have the nVidia geforce GTX 470 and that gfx card requires at least a 500 watt power supply so you should probably have 650+ and the 750 would be good for you just in case if you upgrade your graphics card or processor. For the fitting, you really just have to measure it.

  • @Thecashflowman you should be fine with 750 depending on what else you use

  • Corsairs are pretty good in general I have 4 corsair psu's, but I just got screwed by them on 2 ends I bought my 2nd 650w & it was a doa & then they didn't give me my rebate!

  • I can`t find these PSU on Corsair webPage...anyone have any information if that is diferent from the previous version? version 1.... thanks!

  • @lmartinez285 im looking for the differences between version 1 and version 2 as well, have you had any luck on finding the differences?

  • the pouch was good when i sent my VX550 back because it broke. Probably going to get a TX650 in return :)

  • I have the 750w one, and it's powering a 3.8Ghz i7 and a gtx 560 ti, i wonder if can go sli?

  • @Fucklesticks

    i think yes ive 750w i7 2600 3.8ghz like you and i had ati 6970 crossfire

  • @oziid Nice, looks like i will be OK. Not sure if the 6970 eats more power than an OC'd 560 ti though.

  • I need to buy the 650w PSU only because my PSU does not provide me with any PCI-e 6 pin connectors. Ill need 2 PCI-e 6-pin connectors to power my new XFX 5870 which just arrived and cannot be used :( Also my PSU is on the top of my huge case, and the graphics card is on the bottom. I measured the lenght needed for the cables to be, and it is about 10-11 inches. Are the 2 6-pin connectors that long???

  • Top quality Capacitors ie Rubycon & Panasonic + top quality chokes and excellant heat sinks and a exceptional fan is what majorly makes up a good PSU

  • :)) i already searched 1 week for a power source on the web..it's enough!:)) I'll go with the "V2", and if it's a CWT inside...well, at least it's going to be a better CWT than the "V1":))

Ps:Those 5 year warranty will do the trick, no matter what's "inside"!:)

  • I intend to buy the TX650 V2!

....but can someone tell me if the OEM is Seasonic (like i hope it is) or CWT, cuz i don't know for sure!?

  • @decebalusdacicus

i believe the 650 one is cwt

because it just look like the tx650 v1 CTW ver., which has a bigger fan than the seasonic one

also, you can see through the honeycomb grill, there is a "yellow stuff" that is very slim (CWT ver)

but the seasonic one has a bigger "yellow stuff"

check it out on newegg.com to see the tx650 v1 pictures compare to the video that was made by lin__techtips on youtube

  • @decebalusdacicus 140mm fan (cwt) 120mm fan (seasonic)

the seasonic one looks just like the hx650

  • @caranddriverMing thank you very much for replaying& for the info/tips, i appreciate it, God bless!

  • @decebalusdacicus right now i am thinking should i buy the tx650 v1 or hx650

if i buy tx650 v1 i wish i am lucky enough to get the seasonic one, and the specs on corsair.com is the spec of seasonic's

  • @caranddriverMing about the tx650 v1...first i wanted to buy that model too, and from what i have found on romanian forums the "CMPSU-650TX-C" it's CWT, and they sed it's a quality platform(CWT PSH II)! So if it's got that "C" it's a CWT, and the one without that "C" it's a Seasonic! I decided to go for the latest version- the "v2"(it's supposed to be better than the "v1"), it's 10$ more, and yes, loks like it's a Seasonic! Good luck with your purchase, all the best my friend!

  • @decebalusdacicus

well i think the V2 is oemed by CWT also, but you might need to check it out more before u purchase one =]

  • My 750W one of these is coming in tomorrow :)

  • @botbullet0 CONGRATS

  • ive got 3 5870's and a 4ghz i7 running of an 850w tx

  • I'd recommend AX 1200 its the best power suply i ever had !!!

  • Can someone tell me some power supply's that are almost perfect with no malfunctions (in the 750w range and not to pricey)?? Thanks a shitload!

  • @jamn805

    I'd recommend HX750

  • is the tx 850 better than the ax 850???

  • @TekkSpekk

no, the ax 850 is fully modular and 80 plus gold, the tx 850 is non modular and 80 plus bronze.

the ax 850 is better in every single way

  • @pheeson except for the price

  • Newegg, seem like a great company. I only wish they were here in the UK too. Make it happen Newegg, and make lots of UK based "techheads" happy, you know you want to lol

  • i'll probably be getting the 850, so i have enough juice if i want to run sli one day

  • 850 is too small... :/

  • @vh2k thats good

  • Nice vid

  • A non modular PSU is NOT an enthusiast PSU.

  • @MachineMezziah But all the cables will probably be used so will it matter?

  • @MachineMezziah Most "enthusiasts" will probably use ALL the chords anyways :P that is ofc, if you are enthusiastic enough.

  • @MrUnofficial What a load of bs. Enthusiast doesn't mean having your case stuffed with harddrives and 3-way sli.

  • @MachineMezziah It's a personal choice. Anyone can build a rig anyway they want and it can still be considered enthusiast. What matters to them is most important.

  • check johny guru. they got 850 Review Already. i like that corsair switched from Great wall to Seasonic Platforms

  • thats psu r made by CWT. but u must pay more jst because coorsair logo

  • Is Corsair better then XFX PSU or Thermaltake PSU & if not are they as good as them???

  • @Martinx88813 Not every power supply is the same. Corsair does has some shit power supplies that you should avoid and then there's some high end ones that everyone should consider. Xfx tends to make all high end power supplies. Thermaltake, you have to be really careful with. Their toughpower series is good, everything else is terrible.

  • @toktokk666 Thanks for the tip!!!!!!

  • @toktokk666 No. I have an Antec TP-750 and I like it a lot. Antec is a good brand.

  • @Terry1212 Uh... What? I never said anything about antec's TP-750 or anything related to antec.

  • @toktokk666 You said everything else is terrible. Antec is not terrible.

  • @Terry1212 I never said that. In fact, you didn't even bother to read what I wrote at all. Not only did you not read the entire message, you didn't even read the complete sentence of where you got that message. I'm not even going to tell you what I was referring to. You should go back and actually reread before making yourself look like a bigger idiot.

  • @toktokk666 Your comment is right there for everyone to see. Look back through your posts on this video. It's right there.

  • @Terry1212 Good, I'm glad you can see it. Now how about you try reading it. Or are your reading comprehension skills so poor that you need me to spell it out for you?

  • @toktokk666 No, that's okay. I already read it.

  • @Terry1212 And?

  • @Terry1212 He means all Thermaltake PSUs other than the Toughpower series are terrible. *facepalm

  • you know your buying a serious product when they double box it! :P

  • 4:35 90~264v WAT?!

  • @therealandycook It has auto ranging input voltage/ no switch for 220v-110v on the back.

  • @ytmachx yeah, but autoswitching just means that, he was reading the over and undervolt tolerances

  • Thermaltake has a liftime warranty on the toughpower XT ;D

  • snazzy

  • I think I got the wrong psu. I got the ax1200 that i'm going to use for my first build but I don't think i'll ever need that much power. I should've gotten the 850w and saved a $100.

  • Is 750W too much for a single gpu such as a gtx 570?

  • @InfiniteRagnarok nothing is ever too much. in fact, getting a higher rating PSU can help provide some "future-proofness". so go ahead and get that 750W ;)

  • @InfiniteRagnarok

personally, I'd go for the 850 watt

just in case you decide to go crazy and throw another 570 Sli, heck an 850 can power Sli GTX580

  • Hoping to get the 650W sometime this week. They look fantastic for the price.

  • dang!! wow thats a lot of amps!!
