mine makes the same noise if you look at the back of it when its on the plastic on the back is rubbing and i dont know how to fix it but thats what the noise is.

Size?...Size makes no difference, and sony has ALWAYS made a smaller system for every Playstation system, so give it time and I'm sure they will be smaller then the 360. It downloads demos as fast as fast as a PC. The controller has barley changed in 15 years, so that defiantly is not something to complain about.

It's not normal... My makes a high piched noise... It sometimes get really loud sometimes can barely hear it... But I think it's something that happened during the assembly of my xbox since It's done it since I bought it (Does that make sence?)
tapp it mine does it sometimes the fan loosens as you use the xbox more but it never breaks just buzes at awkward times i recomend new dashboard and download the game to harddrive guys :)

my xbox is making this noise two it doesnt return my discs its just wierd if anybody knows if i should turn it in tell me but what i think is maybe some dirt or dust has gathered in there causing the reader to deny the disc cuz of dust plz tell me if my xbox is gonna die!!!!!!!

Are those even reasons? I'm talking about hardware failure and system crashes. Not your personal opinions on why it sucks. What you listed are the dumbest reasons not to buy a PS3. Size?...Size makes no difference, and sony has ALWAYS made a smaller system for every Playstation system, so give it time and I'm sure they will be smaller then the 360. It downloads demos as fast as fast as a PC. The controller has barley changed in 15 years, so that defiantly is not something to complain about.

The ps3 is an overrated system and is only considered "good" by others because of the blue ray. Without the blue ray, it'd be nothing. You know that. And if you use you're 360 responsibly like I do, it'll be fine. I've had my 360 since it came out. NO RROD yet. And my discs are fine. You know, PS3's do have a malfunction. Lol if you think they are 100% working all the time. Then wow. Every system has flaws and eventually will die. I would think you'd know that.

only because of blue-ray?...is the 360's online better?...last i checked both consoles had the same online game play. is there a gun in cod4 i dont know about that 360 users have?...I doubt. So online isnt better, its the same. what else is good about the 360? The 360 cant do anything major besides take your money to play the same type of online as the PS3. The 360 has nothing major about it...and give me one GREAT thing about the 360 that the ps3 does not have...

LOL, You basically answered you're own question. They are both the same. I am not saying 360 is better at all. No way. But I do agree they are completely equal. The 360 is cheap and you get the same thing you get with the PS3 except blue-ray. That's the only reason why it costs so much. So if you're a gamer and a gamer only why not the 360. Ok if you watch movies a lot. Sure get the PS3, I would. But I don't watch movies much..That's the thing. The 2 consoles are great. The difference is price..

I said there wasn't anything great about the 360, I didn't say there wasn't anything great about the PS3, cause there is. It's a computer, yes, you can buy stuff off ebay, you can go to any website. It's a great thing to know that it isn't going to break, or at least has a very low chance.
Blue-ray is great.
So there are great things for the PS3, and there are none for the 360 besides the fact that it plays video games, that's about all it can do.

I doubt the only problem is the wii being on top of it. My xbox is making the same noise and nothing is sitting on it and nothing has ever sat on it. I also have an intercooler.

It's not normal... My makes a high piched noise... It sometimes get really loud sometimes can barely hear it... But I think it's something that happened during the assembly of my xbox since It's done it since I bought it (Does that make sence?)

tapp it mine does it sometimes the fan loosens as you use the xbox more but it never breaks just buzes at awkward times i recomend new dashboard and download the game to harddrive guys :)
