Ok, ok, I stand corrected. I don't want to upset the monorail lobby. After all, Vegas has a new one - a colossal commercial failure, mind you, but at least they will have an airport link soon while we have nothing. We have enough issues with our current modes. Monorails are not as proven as LRT in terms of installed systems so I don't consider them a serious option, however nice they may be.

While you make a good point with this video, I have to disagree with your point of view on Monorails. There is a theme-park/cartoon stereotype attached to monorails but if you were to do some extra research you would find that not only are there many commuter monorails around the world, there are also significant advantages to monorail construction.

@gricer1326 The monorail was in there just for the Simpsons ref. The only monorails I have ridden in North America are Seattle (tourist relic) and Newark Airport (woefully inferior to the Bombardier AirTrain JFK heavy rail). No point messing around with obscure tech when more common modes are available.

@iSkyscraper Yeah, because those are the only two monorail systems on the planet. I guess it doesn't matter Bombarider recently won a contract to build a new Monorail line in Brazil, or metter that there are plethora of other monorail around the world, most used for rapid transit service.....oh my! I'm not saying build a monorail in Toronto, but please at least get the facts straight.
