  • How many different spiritual leaders have told us this? How many stories have explained this same paradox? Look at the Wizard of Oz. The "journey" itself was more important than the "destination". Was it? I believe that looking forward to some type of "destination" is what drives folks to make the "journey" in the first place. But this is a cause/effect relationship, and hence the confusion of which is more important. They both are equally important.

  • you're awesome peter!!!

  • Peter Russell I love you!! And the person who posted this video? I love you too! Actually, love to all!

  • Yes, it's not about getting anywhere, because you're already awake, you're already conscious. It's just that if you don't experience that as your fundamental self and are not established in that awareness, then you won't experience that as your self. Instead you're more likely to be identified with and experience yourself as, "I am Russell Peter. I was born here. I lived there. I went up the mountain and came down the mountain." etc etc.

  • I get into this trap all of the time, especially with reading spiritual texts and trying to acquire more in the way of understanding. I keep thinking that my salvation lies in reading. But I do know better than this.
