I WISH IF I CAN VISIT SICILY JUST TO GRATIFY THEM.

  • benvenuto al Cosa Nostra

  • The American Medical Association rakes in more money, stolen money, than any organization you can imagine. This, my friend, is true cultural crime, not the Godfather movies. Keep that in mind the next time you have to pay an american company INSURANCE MONEY, see it they pay you back. Grow up, and be proud.

  • Sicilian history gloriously spans three thousand years. It is a tremendous insult to say that Sicily should "rise out of ashes". Do you know what your talking about? Have you ever been to Sicily? Would you compare it to New Orleans, Kansas city, or Detroit?, just a few of the most corrupt cities in the world. How about harlem, downtown Los Angeles, or,

worst of all, Washington,D.C? Have you ever heard of the A.M.A.? (continued)

  • Sicily Sicily Sicily......

  • Ciao, Giuseppe, thanks for your note . Ci Vediamo a Taormina. Buon Lavoro - Alfonso

  • Ma sono a Taormina, giusto?

  • e vero

  • I love it, reminds me of when I was there!

  • Sicily is a truly wonderful place to visit. I am from Alessandria Della Rocca provincia Agrigento

  • Beautiful song

    i'm sicilian ;P

  • I really like your culture. You're very similar to us Iranians. The Palermitano is similar to the Persian way of thinking I guess. But I'm very interested in Sicily. Hope to visit some day.

  • great vid, great music, great location.

  • Great adition to youtube. Sure is dreamy, walking in sicily listening to the godfather theme. That made me want to go there = ).I bet all those tourists recognized the tune. BTW I don't want to stereotype sicilians in any way.

  • You know, it's just a pretty tune. My dad used to play it on his mandolin. It's a beautiful folk tune. thanks for the reply.

  • A beautiful waltz indeed.

  • well done!

  • I would like to be in your position, it`s so cozy and just chilly willy godfather-legend music..

  • like wearing a beret in Paris

  • legends!!!

  • i am goning there in Febrary, where i can find that musicians? is a dream be there

  • Sure looks like Taormina to Me!I am Sicilian too,but I would not be embarrassed...I like this song!

  • I'm half-sicilian, and I would find it so embarassing to be near these musicians... Would'nt you ?

  • non sei degno di essere un siciliano

  • y would u? this should be the best feeling listening to godfather song in itany itslef. it should be great

  • I dunno why, but I would be really embarassed ... Maybe my half-northern root makes the difference ! Who knows ?

  • embarassing?? hellloo it's not like dey sound like britney spears...wat's so embarassing??? they are great...cant even appreciate good musicians....i dont understand why you would even ask others if dey find it embarassing...weird

  • This embarrassment may be due to the fact that many sicilians have an obligation to pay the "pizzo", which leaves them out of money for their family, their business expansion or even their business itself. Moreover, the Mafia is not as "shiny" as that depicted in Coppola's trilogy. Therefore, this music makes me embarrassed.

  • BBD - this is just an old folk song and these musicians are working, simple as that. maybe you should be embarrassed about more important things like a useless war, starving children, etc.

  • Maybe well, but I cannot get out of my mind this implication of "Mafia". I remember as if it had been yesterday, the moment when my father had to pay a godfather in order to be "protected " so that he could get an apartement in a certain village... Sicily will rise of its ashes, if it gets rid of the Mafia !

  • Understood. Thanks for your response. Sorry for your dad's experience. That part of the history is truly a blight on the culture. take care...

  • Ciao Alfonzo Ho modificato il video guardalo e dimmi qualcosa.Ciao Giuseppe.

  • @BlingBlingDo the mafia inst all bad they in some ways help the economy of certain towns and it would be wise not to say hurtful things about them over the net TRUST me.

  • BlingBling, rather than be embarassed by songs used in the Godfather trilogy, you should be embarrassed by

the name "Blingbling". Let me remind you that while Sicilians may ( or may not) have to pay for certain services, the cost pales compared to the criminal charges americans are faced with everyday via insurance companies (continued)

  • During the 1920s-30s (abolition era) the mafia practicly controlled New York, If not the US. Back when drinking was illigal, drinking was everyone's favorate past time! the Mafia had connections to get the booze to the US.

  • for anybody who was wondering what this song is called, it is Brucia La Terra.

    Trust me, I am a Sicilian-American.

  • i trust you

  • :) thanx

  • isn't it brucia la luna?

  • brucia la tierra non?

  • Anyway, this video is probably taken in Taormina

  • I think it is now known as the theme from the Godfather....from an old Sicilian folksong originally, I think

  • no man nino rota composed it for the movie

  • what's the name of this song?
