i think it would be great of designers start to use their hollywood muses on the couture runway shows like charlize theron for dior and nicole kidman for chanel. i mean most o the hollywood women who have the guts to wear couture clothes from top designers are tall statuesque women. heck... i bet they can even give the veteran models a run for their money. and i think they can model them better cause they walk the red carpet and every abgle posed is crucial to showcase the dress.
I really liked your video and your channel. If you need any help getting this video or channel exposed I use a site called tubeviews.(net) It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position. God Bless!
Congratulations on this Whole Video, Its very Nice!
The song during the first 3 minutes is by none other than Ms. Rebekah Del Rio. She's singing the Spanish version of Roy Orbison's classic "Crying". Called "Llorando", it was first used on film in David Lynch's film "Mulholland Drive". A few years later, it was "borrowed" to use in the final minutes of the Season 3 finale of the TV show "Prison Break". It's wonderful to see Ms. Del Rio's voice taken to the international fashion stage. Bravisimo!!!!!
i'm just looking at the shoes and oh my god those must be a pain to walk in. especially the shoes that those models with yellow and green gowns wore...
" If a model destroys A dress in Couture show?" There's no if. Do you have any idea how much one couture dress can cost you? Isn't like ready-to-wear.
you guys, haute coture is strictly meant for one client. you will never find two of the same couture peice. and the clients that buy the peices, OBVIOUSLY, make it "wearable"
i agreee with you and i hate how mass market clothes arent leaving but less designers make haute couture and there collections arent as large either anymore so sad.
@soniccage most likely but there are some articulations different from one to the other... I would also thought that I will not like someone wearing the same haute couture dress like mine for the reason of being exclusive.
umm. I meant...it can be wore outside the runway. Most of what walks down the runway is only meant for the runway (i.e. 2004 spring couture). If you really think I meant "wearable" in referance to the collection being shown and woren on a runway, wow. No words. Fashion student? lol
That's not how haute couture works the seamstresses will flatten/shorten the dress at it's sleeves/hem or anything as desirable. The end result is very wearable.
let's define wearable in design as to clothing when it is appropriate for any occasions it is intended, when not too lavish and very unlikely to the extend because sometimes we see these clothes as very outrageous yet intricate and so it over the top.
anyone knows the song at the catherinettes section?

I think 'wearable' is not the most important thing - that can be arranged in the end.
But a piece must be beautiful. And this collection is absolutely beautiful.
Thumbs up for Galliano.

if a model destroys a couture dress do they have to pay for it?
Allyson1euphoria 4 years ago 2
They prolly realized that that could happen, and if a model distroys a dress in a show, they dont have to pay for it, if it was aciddent,

That's right! Hauture Couture is just like art, it takes time and heart to create.
If the person who can buy Haute Couture, that person is in different life style and level than the people who just can buy cheap mess market stuff.

wearable couture!!!
car2004 4 years ago
All couture is wearable if a model is wearing it.
ishedonism 4 years ago
lol. thats an axiom. Did you write that all by your self?
car2004 4 years ago
It's a pretty sincere principle actually. I just think it's silly to say something isn't wearable when you are watching it walk down the runway.
ishedonism 4 years ago 6
