Good job! However, you need to fully extend your elbows on the way down, otherwise it doesn't count as a full rep. Watch mine again and see that I go all the way up and all the way down.

This is working for her, and bending the knees is just a convention in case you are balancing out or are too close to the floor. she is doing fine
