@Hydrogenperoxidefox Haha, Anthropomorphic means something that is not human with human feature, idk what this guy was thinking when he name this video though
u know a guy actually did that once? it was on the discovery or travel channel, i could be wrong, but i think it said he was close to the speed of sound before his hit terminal velocity
r0cktsm0k3: The 3 jumps that Joe Kittinger did back in 1960ish was part of Project Excelsior. He was also in Project Manhigh. I've never heard of Project Adam.
It isnt any faster from 100,000 feet than from 5,000 feet. Terminal velocity. So it would have been a huge waste. They could have dropped 100 from a plane for the same effort.
Incorrect. At 100,000 feet, the atmosphere is only 1 percent as thick as it is at sea level. This is virtually a vacuum. Those dummies probably reached 600 mph before being slowed down by the thicker air in the lower stratosphere. Joe Kittinger jumped from 102,800 ft from a gondola attached to a scientific balloon. He fell at a record 614 mph. The air was so thin that the fabric of his pressure suit didn't even ripple while falling at near-sonic speeds.

Yes there were manned jumps from space. Google project adam, and project man high.
