  • thats a dove

  • in a couple of months time he will be ready to eat lol im joking :)

  • thats not even a pigeon

  • what's happens during the incubation period? is the egg out of the mother or is it still in the mother during incubation

  • Actually this looks more like the southern American Morning Dove. More than likely most of the footage you have is of the female as she does most of the sitting & nest building. The male brings back nesting materials for her to use in making the nest ...and sometimes even food to share in his crop which she eats from his mouth/beek). Sometimes the male sits on the clutch so that the female can go find her own food (seed) & water. :-)

I've raised a female Asiatic/Ringneck & white male dove pair

  • Yes~ It's A "Pied Dove" Asiatic or otherwise typical wild dove. What part of the country/world R U in? These doves do return to the same place to nest till they get it right. Thier not great nest builders, neither are pigeons for that matter HENCE Why they breed so often. In the wild they often produce a Clutch (2-4 eggs) most commonly 2 eggs ONCE A MONTH in warm weather & when food & water are available. The female does 75% of sitting, the male 25%, reversing %ages when feeding their young.

  • This is smoll or senegal dove, common in middle east

  • it kinda looks like a dove

  • man dude that sucks hopefully they will mate soon again

  • Yes, i hope so too.

  • did they not get scared when you were watching them? maybe that could also cause the problem.

  • I don't think so, because i positioned the camera when the pigeons were away and the camera is connected to my computer, so there is no way they saw me.

I started the recording from my computer and it is far away from the window.

  • oh ok yeah I am sure they will nest again

  • Hopefully ;)

  • By the way, i saw everything from my PC screen, so there is no way the Pigeon got scared from me,(he can't see me from where i am sitting).

I didn't manage to capture the actual fall and i think it's better i didn't.

    -----------------------------

    That is it, for now.

  • I was so happy to see the second egg and now there are none.

I actually saw the Pigeon getting scared from something (maybe a crow) and flying away, as he was flying away the eggs fell down.

I was amazed to see the eggs falling because i have seen the Pigeon flying on and off the nest for several times and all was fine.

I can't explain it and even if i could i would still feel like i had something to do with the eggs falling.

That is how bad i feel about it :(

  • A tragic thing happened !!!

The eggs fell down, they are gone !!!

    I can't believe it, i am so sad :(

I hope the parents will try again soon.

  • Hope you catch the actual hatching of the egg :-) Sounds like egg cam needs to be set up :-))

  • Today i found out there is another egg !!!

I will upload the movie soon ;)

The cam is set-up for the hatching.

  • Wow that's a big egg for such a small bird!

Cool video. I think the parents need to add to their nest. At least they can peak around the chair and watch television. ;)

  • Indeed, the egg looks healthy and big.

Hopefully it will hatch in 17 days +-

by the way, i liked the television idea ;)
