  • So far it's been exactly the same as the old one. Think I'm done here.

  • OH MY GOD!!! AFTER ONLY ONE EPISODE!!! NEVER MIND WHAT I JUST SAID!!! I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THIS!!!

  • DARN!!! JUST SEEING NINA AND ALEXANDER IS THREATENING TO MAKE ME START BALLING MY HEAD OFF!!!

  • had a nightmere for 3 days

  • what, no head explosions? but really, i don't see the point so far with this second version..its just less gory than the first..

  • @ClowChain2 they say after 15 to 20 episodes the plot changes form the original

  • Nina's voice is like a cheese-grater to the ears. Just transmute her already, Shou.

  • @KimberlyCS1 yes there are two version but this brotherhood one is way more accurate and alot more like the manga. it has more info and a better ending

  • I honestly don't know how anyone could accuse this new series of not having as much emotional depth or heart as the first one. For me, this was just as painful as watching it the first time.

  • u must be "dog-tied" haha bad timing

Thank u Funimation youtube thanks youtube thanks you and the world thanks you

  • More fucked up the second time... Transmuting men into bombs... Scorching dozens of innocents to death... Still not as fucked up as turning your own daughter into a chimera.

  • It took all my willpower to watch this again after FMA .... I cried as soon as I saw Nina

  • Wait, is.. is that STEIN?! It must be! He sounds exactly like Stein! All he needs is a screw through his head and he's good to go!

  • @theamazingunicorn137 omg i just finished watching Soul Eater like and hour ago! funny thing was i knew he reminded me of someone.. thanks for telling me who! ^.^

  • @foxtail160 Well, i'm pretty sure the voice actor who plays Ed is also the person who plays Maka's father.

  • @theamazingunicorn137 IKR!! I can't look at Stein the same way anymore...

  • i cried so hard

  • I JUST found out there were TWO versions. God I'm so lost.

  • @KimberlyCS1 brotherhood is following the anime more than the original

  • @KimberlyCS1 They're both amazing

  • @KimberlyCS1 I'm really lost too...so this is what I've gathered:

FMA is an altered version of the manga in Anime form.

FMA:B is more strict to the manga. Also, you may be able to see some slight changes in the animations.

    =D

  • @KimberlyCS1 Haha! I was like that in the beginning. Watch FMA (Fullmetal Alchemist) first. FMA goes on it's own plot as FMA: Brotherhood goes from the Manga.

  • @KimberlyCS1 its simple lol. fma brotherhood follows the manga and the other fma kind awent in a diff direction. brotherhood has the ral story and explains things better

  • this anime series is so profound that it gives chills

  • 666 likes on such an episode...

  • Scar is such a better crazy religious person than Rose!

  • The fact that Nina still loves Tucker in her later situation...

  • lol i love that dog

  • Has anyone else noticed that the only girl achemist is Izumi? Isn't that a little weird?

  • @1200014burningham This world is based on turn-of-the-century Europe. One female alchemist is about how it would be back then. Think of when women were allowed to serve high positions in the military, and it makes sense.

  • I read FMA first before watching this... this chapter made me cry... and now... now... GOD DAMMIT TUCKER YOU FUCKING BASTARD!!!!!!

  • there lives suck like really suck .

  • It took all my will power to watch this...again. Once in FMA and now in FMAB. >.<

  • i hate tuker he belongs in a mentall instatution damn it were he gets shock treatment

  • i always get chills.... when she says "Big brother Ed."........TT.TT

  • Shou tucker is stein from soul eater!!!!!!!!

  • @iluvwarriorcats4ever No. Stien had decency and only wanted to cut things up. Tucker here doesn't care about anything.

  • this is so sad.....

  • Dammit! i already watched Nina and alexander die once! i always cry when they die in FMA T^T at least tucker didn't turn into that weird beast with his head upside down that annoyingly talks in whispers!

  • oh my god. watching this again... T_T

  • Why is Roy's office pink/purple?

  • @PEPlover18

Because he's secretly a fan of Twilight Sparkle

  • @sharkun0 NOOO not Roy!! :o

  • bas grond got his ass kicked!!

  • i still like the made up one

  • 9:53 RIDE THE METAL UNICORN!!!

  • Fma and fmabh are detailed in different ways and areas. These first episodes go by so fast though and aren't so detailed. But I still enjoy it(:

  • Tucker looks creepy

  • What's the difference between fullmetal alchemist and the fullmetal alchemist version

  • @Beelzebul100 there are lots of differences, mostly because the 2003 anime only loosely follows the manga and Brotherhood faithfully follows it. First of all, FMA doesn't explain how Ed can do alchemy without a circle, whereas this one has one. Also, Shou Tucker sticks around longer in FMA than he does in FMAB (which I'm glad FMAB doesn't do...), and it has a majorly different end. Also, the homuculi are majorly different between the two versions. I hope that helps.

  • @MidnightStar665

You Obviously did not watch all of The Original, it explains how Ed dosen't need the circle, I belive in episode 28....

  • is the movie connected to the original fullmetal alchemist or fullmetal alchemist brotherhood? a little confused here :s

  • At least Scar put her out of her misery. Who'd want to live a prison as an animal?

  • I hope Shou Tucker has fun in hell...

  • Holy crap. Tucker's voice, it's Hiei! What has been heard cannot be unheard.

  • This episode was less dark then the FMA one

  • SHOU TUCKER YOU SON OF A BITCH

  • HE DID IT AGAIN !!!!!!!!!! NOOO POOR NINA !!!!!

  • -sees tucker- OKAY IM GIVIN THIS KID ONE LAST CHANCE!! -turns nina- FUCKIN GUY!! OKAY THATS IT, YOU HAD YOUR CHANCE!!

  • That basturd did it again grrrrrr how could he do that :( poor Nina

  • Such a sad episode

  • Anyone know the name of the song played around 18:53 ?

  • I really didn't like the way they did this episode, compared to the first series.

  • i've been wondering what exactly is ed's and al's father i know he's really old but what is he

  • @sailorbunny1010 You'll find out his story later in the series, don't want to spoil it for you :P.

  • @sailorbunny1010 He is a human, at the end of the first series they explain why he is so old.

  • this is my host hated episode >.<

  • @AmuletHeart48 YES OMG YES! AFTER WATCHING FMA AND FMA:BH I JUST FIGURED THATOUT IN THIS EPISODE it was driving me crazy because I knew that voice >:U

  • 13:05 did the dog friggin jump off the roof or the tree i mean where did come from? am i the only one wondering?

  • I just had a fangasm. J. Micheal Tatum!!

  • @NarutoRPCfan that is because they didn't want to take all the time to describe ehat was already covered in the original anime, it was more important to catch up to the point where the 2003 anime went astray from the manga.

  • this episode disturbs me everytime

  • This is a really fast paced anime. It seems as if it was done in a rush. No offence or anything, I just like the other series when it comes to pacing.

  • There's no way that shou Tucker can come back as a chimera now.... O.o I'm confused lol

  • Love all the new additions but for this particular episode, it was presented better in FMA. Like the " I want to die" part was really powerful- here, not so much.

and in FMA, he figured out that his wife had died two years ago and made the connection, not ask two questions which got the same answer xD just seems like it wasn't as hard to figure out from eds pov.

  • didnt the shou tucker guy sound kinda like professor stein from soul eater? same voice actor?

  • @crazyj10agains- thank you but since I didn't ever the manga it didn't make sense to me but thanks cause everything makes sense!!! ^.^ * sigh of relieve*

  • Shou Tucker is a bad bad bad BAD parent....I hope gluttony eats him.

  • Nina! -w- she's adorable....

  • The opening is so fucking badass i end up replaying it so much that i waste time and sometimes don't watch the actual episode after like 20 minutes lol!

  • Ok all you idiots who thinks he's like stein he's not he's a demon and stein is awesome

  • @Taker237 he is nothing like stein he is a demon

  • The chimera guy is Stein from Soul Eater!

  • sh!t!!!!.......it just repeat the last fullmetal alchemist except the art and a lilo diff!!!!!!!

  • I hate Shou Tucker

  • Shou Tucker is DR. STEIN!!!! :D

  • Comment removed

  • I don't get this-______- it soooo confusing cause are these like alternate ending???? *~*

  • @AbbychanXD What don't you get? Brotherhood? It's closer to the manga than the original anime, so this would be the "original ending" and the 2003 anime would be like the "alternate ending", or something like that.

  • Nina! If it weren't for FMA I probably wouldn't have been so sad.

  • 3:02 where the hell did the dog come from?

  • @Hikari485 Al saw more than Ed in the transmutation behind the doors. That's what cost him his whole body. Ed saw a little which cost him his leg.

  • @andro6806 it's connected to his nervous system.

  • i don't understand how does his arm of steal move . is it alchemy or mechanical ?

  • @andro6806 It's mechanical, hydraulics and all that.

  • @andro6806 Its a form of machinery called "Biomail". Biomail taps into the nerve endings found within the severed limb and carries the signals like a replacement arm, allowing it to move by sending electrical impulses to the motors in the arm. Winry is his mechanic, and often repairs his parts for him if the nerve endings or machinery are damaged.

  • @robloxfan459 thank you .

  • 10:25 looks like pedobear.

  • Tucker: Made a chimera, can be deemed the "Dr. Frankenstein" of the FMA universe.

Intriguing that his VA also played Dr. Franken Stein from Soul Eater.

  • no mater how many times i watch or read this part of the series i always cry there is only one other scene that makes me cry more then this episode

"Men are like parking places, the good ones are always taken"

  • ok shou when he is crazy is like professor stein in soul eater

  • Oh.

    Oh god.

    Too many feels.

  • why did al lose his body and ed only lost his leg? (and arm)

  • @Hikari486 Al lost his whole body and Ed lost his leg as payment for reincarnating their mother (which failed), but once Ed realized what had happened to Al, he drew a Blood Seal on a suit of armor and used his arm as payment to bond Al's soul to the armor

  • @Hikari486 Each person pays a toll to see "The Truth". It is not their decision what goes when they try to perform such an act, so they randomly lose whatever the being guarding the gate thinks is fair. Al is only "alive" because Edward paid a SECOND toll (His right arm) to act as a placeholder for his soul, allowing Al to return to the land of the living. This "placeholder" aspect is important later in the series.

  • Right arm for his brother left leg for his Mom >_>...

  • how did den lose his leg ?

  • @megamanx503 he lost it trying to bring his mother back to life

  • @megamanx503 In alchemy to obtain soemthing one must give something in exchange of equal worth. Alfonzo gave up his body and Edward gave up his leg. If your also wondering about the arm when he tried to get his brother back he had to sacrifice his arm.

  • Why does the professors voice sound so familiar...?

  • They should have made an FMA:B episode of "Man with the Metal Arm". That was one of my favorite in the manga. The one from plain old FMA is way different.

  • that face....of that dog @ 10:18

    ALEXANDER U R SO CUTEEE!

  • Comment removed

  • Is it just me, or does the ending sequence piece where Ed is jumping over the stones, throwing his arms up every time he jumps or falls, kinda look like a Classic Video Game? -_-' ------XD

  • since when did Armstrong have girly lashes?

  • RIP Nina.....waaaaaaaaahhhh!!!!!!!

  • just crying nbd

  • I never expected Hiro Nohara found a new job as a crazy state alchemist. XD

  • LIKE, if the opening is kool

  • @MusicalMaiden92 Look up "Lurking FMA brotherhood ost" :) I put a picture of Shou tucker with what would have been a very well deserved jaw displacement as the album cover... stupid jerk.

  • Every time I see Nina I cry...damn you FMA damn you...

  • 0:12-0:40

Aaron Dismuke still says it better...

  • This is the first time Vic cried while recording.

  • @mcrjade

    IKR!

  • You gotta love Alexander

  • I wonder...why does Alexander tackle Ed in the first place?

  • @Shadowsama91 probably because hes so little XD

  • @RALAMA2992 possible he wouldn't think he's a fire hydrant....

  • @Shadowsama91 that would be priceless if he did

  • @RALAMA2992 he turns around and Alexander's peeing on him

  • @Shadowsama91 LOOOOL

  • Tucker strikes me as the person to be turned into a pedobear... he always speaks in whipsers... its creepy.

  • 5 episodes in the normal fullmetal was 1 episode long in brotherhood...

  • Edward: My arm and leg!

    Alphonse: My body!

    Winrey: My balance!

  • @TheSapphireAlchemist

hahaha that part is so annoying to me!

  • That monster! How could he do at to his own children! First his wife, then nina. I can't a image any father would do that to his kid. Nina still had her whole life a head of her. WORSE FATHER EVER!!!!

  • Tucker freaks me the hell out with his shiny glasses even long after seeing this episode and reading the manga. I knew he was off his nut way before the dramatic change in atmosphere.

  • @Fierycascade And his whispered voice and upside down head in his chimera form?

  • remember in the first anime nina said "i does it hurt here?" :(

  • Oh my god Nina I love you so much you're so adorable aaah!

  • God, that guy is just like Angela/Ash from Black Butler! A religious Nutjob!

  • you should make all of these playback on ipods

  • lol the ending looks random and cool at the same time

  • shoa fucker. or however you spell his first name.

  • Every time... EVERY GOD DAMNED TIME I WATCH THIS.. I shout at the screen. Every time.

  • oh i wanna kill tucker

  • ed; "i will use my powers to vanquish you!" *chases the dog and next scene* and the winner is the dog

  • Alexander is the reincarnation of all fangirls, made into dog form.

  • I'm grounded for punching my TV.

I was watching this episode on AS and I punched Tucker in the face as soon as I saw him. My hand hurts, but it was well worth it.

  • @mongoose8316 and we all respect you for it brother

  • @44marvelplusanime44 ...I'm a girl. but OK. XD

  • me and my uncle cry every time we watch it..and he has like a heart of stone..

  • "Quite a catch these two" :)

    What a child molester

  • I love how that oblivious look the dog has. Reminds me of my dog.

  • You know alchemy isn't good for businesses like Wal-mart and stuff. Something gets broken, just slap your hands on it and no need to run to the store and get a new one.

  • @kaven15 Well, not everyone knows how to do Alchemy, so there'd still be people who need Walmart, repair shops, etc. Not to mention, Walmart still sales things not just on replacement.

  • that is sick and twisted! what kind of dad would do that to his own DAUGHTER!!!? D:<

  • Anyone else notice that the lyrics for the opening switch between Japanese and English every episode?

  • when he was first playing with Nina, did Al sound like the original Al? Or was that just me O.O PLEASE SOMEONE ANSWER!

  • @MortixTheAnimeFan Same voice actor....

  • @MortixTheAnimeFan Brotherhood has a different voice actor for Al than the first series. Brotherhood uses Maxey Whitehead while the first series had Aaron Dismuke, who I like better. Brotherhood Al sounds way too feminine.

  • @hilzanne47 it's because Aaron hit puberty u_u

  • @seleyka What a tragedy... He was the best Al ever! Did you know that Aaron plays young Hohenheim in Brotherhood? I was happy when I recognized his voice :D

  • @hilzanne47 no i didn't! Oh mah gawddd!!! I am now excited. lmfao.

  • In one fail swoop, Tucker did the two things I could never bring myself to do under any circumstances. He harmed a domestic animal and an innocent child (both of which were his own family might I add). The fact that he doesn't have any cool powers or redeeming qualities makes him more dis-likable.

  • my god you codemed your own daughter to that hell

i cried this episode is so emmotional you know

  • aleander the dog stealth attack specialist

  • 10:10 to 10:26 is my favorite part lolz

  • "daddy says hes going to play with us tomorrow"...thats your idea of fun tucker!?

  • Funimation, I forgive you for thinking you were dicks. I though that you only uploaded subbed versions of your animes, and you don't. I forgive you. Fuck me.

    :)
