I have heard of that band, even listened to some of their songs and while they may be appreciated in their own music genre, it is not for everyone. Those who are into thrash, punk and other angry teenager music can easily get into Discharge, not glam metal and melodic rock fans.

I have known Steve since he was in high school....he used to play drums the the Piedmont Wv American Led. He and lots of our friends would hang on the river at "Gran's cabin" in the late 70's and 80's. Gran's was my then husbands grandmother and no matter what time you got there she would feed you. Everyone is so proud of him in Piedmont and he still comes to the American L. often...Keep Rock'n Steve.

This is true feel good hard rock, one of the underrated rock bands of this era. These cds that Kix put out is some of the rarities you will see in any type of music today, which is you can listen to their music from the opening track to the closing one and you won't hear a bad song, great memories go with this music ,at least for me.I still crank it up! I was there that day filming... I can see myself at frame 139-140 im on the bottom right corner if you freeze frame it. Yes they pan the camera fast but that is what makes it a good video. His mom and my dad met in a casino, while we were doing our own thing. A day later we're eating dinner together, and find out were both into music. I meet his band. Jam with them. Run some of my songs by them. 2 days later, i'm back in Ohio. A year,or so later "Give It To Me Good", comes out. My Song!!!!!

We were right up against the stage too. Hammerjacks was awesome ! Was actually at 3 different video shootings there, and Kix was always a hometown fave!!!
This is what I like to refer to as a bagel guitar riff. It is both crunchy and chewy. You can have your Dragonforce light speed guitar playing and yeah it is very impressive. It also holds my attention for about 18 seconds. Give me something where every note is important. Love this

I must tell you all that Kix played at Merrywether Post Pavillion tonight and we heard the intro to this song as we drove by. They had it nailed perfectly! Yes, I wish the 80's would come back too..... some of it.

No credit. Just a rip off. That's why i never sent another song into a magazine. One of my songs also broke Trixter. I hung out with the guitar player(Scott Brown) for a week in Atlantic City. His mom and my dad met in a casino, while we were doing our own thing. A day later we're eating dinner together, and find out were both into music. I meet his band. Jam with them. Run some of my songs by them. 2 days later, i'm back in Ohio. A year,or so later "Give It To Me Good", comes out. My Song!!!!!

Believe it, or not! I actually wrote this song. Back in 1988 i sent in lyrics to a magazine, and a year or 2 later, Bam! Kix has their 1st big hit. I still write songs today. adam.cibik@yahoo.com

@amrcngrl1203 I was wondering that too - I was at the filming of the video when they were shooting at Hammerjacks, so really trying to figure out if this is the same one... hard to tell tho because the panning is so quick. We were right up against the stage too. Hammerjacks was awesome ! Was actually at 3 different video shootings there, and Kix was always a hometown fave!!!

This is what I like to refer to as a bagel guitar riff. It is both crunchy and chewy. You can have your Dragonforce light speed guitar playing and yeah it is very impressive. It also holds my attention for about 18 seconds. Give me something where every note is important. Love this
