  • If you were at King of Trios this year...you wouldn't say CHIKARA was bad. They don't ALWAYS have comedy.

  • Bookerdust

  • 5:10 AWESOME, i about did a spit take myself....

  • Some of my funniest:

    1) Any promo by Scott Steiner from WCW

    2) DX impersonating the Nation

    3) Any promo by The Rock making fun of Big Show

    4) When Big Show went Hollywood in 2000

    5) Bobby Heenan on commentary

  • Shane Mcmahon dance and Vinces walks kill me.

  • Any Jumpin' Jeff Farmer promo is funny.

  • I also saw u on botchamania and its strange u mention also how funny botchamania is.....i think it was 108 and he said u beg to be there hahahaha

  • scott steiner easily the funniest...PHEMONEMON

  • The Rock made me laugh a few times. And Kurt Angle has made me laugh my ass off from day ONE.

  • Delirious rockin' the Roundtable!

  • 1.Boss Man Poem to Big SHow/ Boss Man crashing Funeral/ Bossman feeding al snow his chihuaha dog pepper

2.Mae Young Powerbombed off the Stage by the Dudleys

    3.Jerry Lawler Blasting Goldust

    4.Ken Pantera and Mean Gene

5.Mick Foley backstage telling a security guard to know they role and a kid to shut his mouth

  • Now i know you said you didn't like comissioner foley because of cheap pops etc but i'm surprised you didn't mention edge and christian segments from 2000-2001 like sodas rule or genital warts

  • osaka pro-isn't to bad, it is more kiddy but doesn't do super gay DDT crap.

im still amazed how they produced someone as good as Kota Ibushi

  • i know chikara sucks comedy wise....but i do like that they can pull in so many international stars and have some great matches, and Quackenbush isnt a bad wrestler, he's pretty talented and he has trained some great talents, including the 2010 rookie of the year, acording to wrestling observer, Frightmare

  • While not intentional; Undertakers "Buckle up teddy" Moment had me nearly keel over with laughter XD

  • i want to see kikutaro vs delirious

instant laughs and likely a decent match

eddie guerrero unmaskin luchas wcw was great

" its Prince Iaukea!"...couldn't believe Blitzkrieg wasnt mexican

least funny was dx hornswaggle... made shawn seem like a giant retard until taker fued

  • Robocop teaming up with sting made me lmao when I was young.

  • 3:06 or so: i do remember that Thunder "'Backyard Title' Match" segment...wonder if he still has it,though?...

  • the promo that i think really killed john cena was him playing right now on wwe raw as a debut video... that shut him down as being a legit bad ass... him being shown with his family and stuff just took him from stone cold to total softy. big mistake

  • Botchamania is Classic.. Thank you Maffew :) u r much like Ric Flair, Steamboat, Danielson, Hero, Delirious, McGuiness, Castognoli, Hazee, etc... legends :)

  • Survivor Series Promo, I think. I forget the year but it had Ultimate Warrior, Anvil, and the Rockers and they are stoned out of their mind...Warrior was pulling Anvil's beard and the Rockers' hair and shit and Michaels/Jannety look like theyve been up for like a week straight. It's hilarious!

  • austin chaseing booker t in the super market and the next week in the church. it was comedy gold. also the mean street possie trying to attack crash holly.

  • never mentioned the rock to me was the funniest wrestler ever

  • Hogan...we coming for you nigga!!!! that shit has me rotf everytime

  • One of my favorites is a match Delirious and El Generico had in IWA Mid-South. The match is on Youtube, and it's hilarious beginning to end, and they work, too.

  • Funniest moment for me was when Nash n Hall were beating everyone in front of the production truck and rey mysterio attempts to jump on nash n he throws him like a dart at the TV truck that was amazing. Or the Macho man on coke promo (the beat goes on) or when Mark Henry couldnt break the cage door and Batista stood there and watched him.

  • Greatest moment in wrestling humor,,,Disco Rapping to Gonan....errr I mean Konnan's rap song.

  • WCW did the humor so well. Norman, Alex Wright, Jericho, Chavo, Disco...they were just so entertaining...and of course Ernest Miller. I think that's a big reason that WCW was on top for so long.

  • This is another fine line because the likes of Chris Jericho,The Rock,Stone Cold,Shawn Michaels,Bret Hart, and HHH are naturally funny people, let alone in wrestling.Triple H is every bit as great as a malicious heel or maybe even better.

  • the music jive soul bro alone is really good. when you add it to akeem dancing it is even better.

earnest miller, disco inferno, al snow, norman smiley, mankind, paul bearer (his voice) are all funny.

very funny match chainsaw charlie vs cacktus jack

    beetlejuice in wcw

    fabulous moolah and mae young

chavo guerrera when he had pepe, really funny, really forgotten

  • the funniest moment in the history of wrestling?

    one word. SHOCKMASTER!

  • Ric Flair - NWA Promos, PICK ONE LOL , Look up Custom Made & Just Like That.

The Million Dollar Man, knocking the basketball outta the kids hands

    ill think of some more

  • EDDIE GUERRERO THE BEST COMEDY WRESTLER!

  • DELERIOUS!

  • i love back in 2001 when steve austin and kurt angle play guitar a sing for vince in is office. I am not sure that vince sing it too but was funny.

  • i felt the DX parody of the nation in 1998 was sum pretty hilarious shit as well as a lot of their comic work in 1997 when HBK was more the leader and HHH played second fiddle

  • Oklahoma, to me, was fucking hilarious. "SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! VAM-PIE-RO!! VAM-PIE-RO!!" The 2nd JR heel turn in '99 was hilarious too, kicking Michael Cole in the balls because he 'wanted his job back' and yelling at Bart Gunn to 'look at me BOYY!!"

  • 3 words 4 u guys: SHOCKWAVE THE ROBOT!!!...im wondering whether its considered funniest/least funniest...p.s.: i think austin aplolgized 4 the "what?s" during lilian garcia singing the national anthem...

  • im a fan of roddy roddy piper! thanks for the wink ;)

  • Aaaaaaaand delirious out of no where! Awesome.

  • I recall that Barack vs Hilary was one of the least funny segments I have ever seen...until Umaga destroyed them both. RIP, Umaga. Cena when he insulted JBL, being poopy, was not funny. It was just plain stupid.

  • I'm not sure if I'm more amazed or thankful that they got through a segment on comedy wrestling without mentioning the worst thing about WWE today, Hornswoggle.

  • @TheJohnnyCotts Well, he should have definitely been brought up for Least Funniest, no doubt, heh. I hate that shit, instant channel-changer for me.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • @WrestlingRoundtable i have to agree with Hornswoggle being an instant channel changer and it seems almost at this point that RAW as a wrestling program is a channel changer completely lol

  • Why the hell is delerious here?

  • Funniest accidental moments

    5. Anything with Mike Adamle

    4. Vince almost falling off the ring apron

    3. Booker T "N" word

    2. Gene Okerlund's F bomb

    1. Rey Mysterio running his head into the Elimination Chamber Pod.

  • one thing im amazed was left off the list f worst segments meant to be funny was the "Katey Vick" segment that angle was so bad as so dont right fucked up, and of course Hornswagle

  • pcs kevin nash alex shelley pure gold

  • Funniest wrestler ever: Iron Sheik.

  • Jerry Lawler: "Even Moses couldn't spread her legs!"

  • Anything Austin did as a heel in 01 was priceless. I remember him saying haw awful Debra's cookies were to Stacy Kaibler and then suddenly Debra is standing right beside him. And he says "Hey Debra....... love you."

  • Thank you for finally saying that the "Rock This is Your Life" segment wasn't funny. For years everyone acted like it was the gold standard in wrestling comedy, I thought it was awful.

  • @sundancekid726 it wasn't funny. bit it was one of the most entertaining must see segments.

  • See, I disagree. I didn't find it entertaining. It was too long, not funny (as you acknowledged). Back in 1999 and even now, I feel the same way about it, and I liked Foley and The Rock.

  • @sundancekid726

Well people were tunning in like crazy statistically speaking as foley said ppl must have been caling up their friends and telling them to watch because the rating it got was just unbelievable.

it dragged yes but had one of rock's best moments "and in front of all the rocks fans you want to serve the rock a great big piece of that poontang pie!" lawler laughing hysterically just made it classic for me.

  • Sometimes The Rock was a little much for me, and I didn't find him funny all the time, especially during that stretch with the pie jokes. I just didn't like the segment.

  • @sundancekid726

haha, well i remember the pie jokes were only used in 99, i could be mistaken though. and rock in 01, 02 was cringe worthy in my book. even the way he spoke in that ultra fast energetic over the top way i didn't like it. i liked the corpoprate champ persona and only that.

  • Booker T and Goldust!!!!!! Funniest duo everrrr

  • My favourites:

    1) Booker T accidentally calling Hogan the N word

    2) Gene Okerlund dropping the F bomb after a prop FAIL

    3) Ultimate Warrior doing a non-smoking PSA

    All available on YouTube.

  • Pause at 1:42.

    Priceless.

  • @gnrcr he did a cornette face

  • They didn't mention RICO winning the tag titles as funniest match/gimmick!

  • the 1 thing that i thought sucked the most about "oklahoma" was the fact that they got the late, great "dr. death" steve williams somehow involved...i haope that him & j.r. resolved that situation b4 his death...cuz i also believed "oklahoma" STILL-suxxx-t-rex-sack(s)!!!!!...

  • I always thought the early Mr. Kennedy spots were pretty funny.

  • put morrison & santino in the same situation...comedic M'R-F'N' MULTI-PLATINUM!!!!!

  • Is Delirious any good as a wrestler?

  • How can you not mention any of the segments with the Rock and Coachman

  • palace of wisdom...morrison as drew mcintyre...melina as michelle mccool...2 me...thats epic...just 4 melina as m-2's reactions 2 morrison as drew macs alone!!!

  • Delirious ftw!

  • iunno, maybe this is just me, but the host of the show (the guy with the ponytail) just kinda rubs me the wrong way. All of these videos I've watched he just acts like he knows everything.

  • Dude I disagree! Chikara is fucking awesome and it has real great wrestling and funny moments. Especially with Chuck Taylor!

  • the dirt sheet's "SNEEZER MAN"....w/ miz as "kozlov" & morrison as "h-cubed"...w/ that UBER-HOT stephanie look-a-like...was/is 1 of my ALL-TIME favorite & funniest moments!!!!!

  • any time Ric Flair does is walking forward faceplant fall i laugh my ass off... The best in match entertainer of all time

  • Back in July I saw ROH they had Colt Cabana vs. Joey Ryan in a comedy match that was one of the most entertaining things I've seen and put the whole crowd on the feet going nuts. The high point was a very local one: Toronto was going through a strike by garbage workers at the time and the Ted Reeves arena where the show was was an temporary dump site, and during the match Colt ran to the back and got two garbage bags and started nailing Ryan with them to a chant of "garbage STRIKE!"

  • I dont know if anyone else mentioned this, but I found the Oklahoma parody of Jim Ross hillarious, especially in the beginning in the feud with 'Vam-pie-ro'

  • I found Oklahoma very offensive

  • yeah mick foley would agree with you guys on dude love thing

  • hey can someone explain why the thing with big bossman in the undertakers graveyard was funny? i dont get it :D

  • he died a while back and he fought taker at a WM

  • if you are being serious, it is because the Big Boss Man, unlike the other guys on the tombstones, is actually dead.....its dark humor....but its true

  • ooh right..

    thank you very much!

  • Scott Steiner+live mic=consistently some of the funniest stuff in wrestling.

  • I know that I mumble sometimes, but it seems like Steiner has a clothes pin stuck on his tongue

  • Top lines in TNA.

    IM HUNGRY!

And said to Samoa Joe HES FAT!

  • What about: MSG and jay Lethal on 3D. OH MY BROTHER,WHERES THE BACON?

  • 2 of my favs had to be first when scott steiner slipped on the apron at badd blood against test, and when stone cold steve austin beat the hell out of booker t at the grocery store.

  • Regal pissing on Big Show's leg in 2001 was pretty funny. Also in Chikara Super Smash Bros Vs. DELIRIOUS!!! and Hallowicked in the battle of video game systems. The Donald vs Rosie was so bad people started chanting TNA. You never talked about the debut of SHOCK MASTER. Tugboat in a stormtrooper helmet = epic yet hilarious FAIL.

  • Shockmaster is botch/crappy gimmick 101

  • the fuck was that?

  • chris harris has lost all credibility.

  • idk why but i thought vince tearing both his quads at royal rumble 2005 was funny as hell.

  • I know why ; because it was hilarious, especially seeing him sit there bark out orders. Oh, and the whole 'fuck him' thing I have for him ;) ha

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • anything with the rock from 1998-2004

especially 2003 was hillarious. Undertakers 33 pound head

  • The Rock is the only wrestling star I will ever say this about: his promos were TOO good.

  • If this was Attitude Era, Santino would've been incredibly funny.

  • I don't see how that would make him any more or less funny than he already is

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Well, he wouldn't have so many restraints on what he does in promos.

  • @WrestlingRoundtable I think he means that the attitude Era would make Santino better because there is no age restriction on the main demographic

But Santino seems to be one of the few people that isn't limited to the writers

  • LMAO nice job adding Delirious xD

  • Thanks!

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • @WrestlingRoundtable I am sort of surprised that you'd forget Eddie Guerrero during the whole Lie, Cheat, Steal stuff. When he'd lay someone out with the belt and then lie down himself while he impatiently waited for the referee to wake up was so funny, as well as the segments with Chavo as the pool cleaners or on the golf course

  • I'm suprised you guy's didn't mention "goofey" Angle or WCW Jericho, with finding all of the loop holes and what not. However one of the funniest things I have ever seen was The Big Boss Man showing up at Big Show's Dad's funeral with that over sized megaphone on his cop car, yelling about the Big Show's poor ole daddy.

  • mine would be the debut of Dragon Dragon!!!!!!!!!

  • By the time the next set of shows airs the celebrity host shtick on RAW will probably be well over with so we won't mention some of the recent LEAST funniest moments like everything "Dr. Ken" did!

  • Delirious, head booker of wwe for a day.

  • I loved Lawler and Rock's humor back in the 90s cause it was just so damn clever and really funny. King would say things you wouldn't/shouldn't and Rock would say things you wish you had the chance to to your favorite heels.

  • colt cabana definately, he truely has created a great niche there. Also some of the PWG stuff, because it appears so laid back can be very amusing

  • is that billy kidman in the beginning?? men he's gotten fat

  • No...

    I think that's Colt Cabana.

  • Erics reaction when he 1st heard bout Jerry Lawler saying that Big Boss Man was in undertakers grave yard that made me fucking laugh!

  • Botchamania...

  • think it was a last man standing match with shane omac! and he had ppl come down to help him ! big show was ripping apart the the stage it was "ment" to look heavy!! show chucks its and it misses! "as it prob would of killed the dude if it hitted" jr going nuts! on comentry ! then test (rip) runs up the ramp and picks up the bit of stage lkes its a pillow and starts hitting the dude

  • Pretty much agree that the whole thing "This is your life" with Rock and Foley was not funny. Same with Cena post-05, DX 06, Rosie O'Donell, Kiss my Ass Club, etc...

  • I don't think Cena is funny at all.

He tries to be The Rock in his jokes....

But then again I don't like Cena ((LOL))

  • Cena's humor doesn't get over because the guy cracks jokes like he's a smug asshole, like when he was a heel or an edgy face back on smackdown.

i don't see the rock comparrison, other then internet fan boys like to compare the two. there not at all similar. the rock tried to be elvis and over the top. cena was just being a jerk with his humor..and with that combined with the fact he is suppose to be super baby face..doesnt get over well..translate to people thinking he is a douce bag lol

  • ((LOL)) Agreed

  • wtf u guys didn't mention brian pillman. at least mention the hollywood blondes .

  • The Shockmaster Debut!!!

  • For me, as far as i can think:

*Austin fights Booker T in the grocery store.

*Austin runs over The Rock's Linchon Cotinental with the monster truck.

*Nearly every Stone Cold Stunner reaction.

    *The Rock's segments.

  • The WWE moment that made me fall off the couch was when DX made fun of the Nation of Domination on Raw. That was when the Rock was in the Nation.

  • how bout when vince mcmahon got an anal probe, and had something coming out of his ass?

or what bout when Mark Henry was gettin it on with Mae Young, and Mae Young gave birth to a hand? Also, she showed something at the 2000 Royal Rumble that I don't think I will never cope from again, eww.....

  • Naked Mideon

  • I was at a Q&A with Mick Foley once, and he said the first time he ever saw Naked Mideon was the hardest he ever laughed.

  • Unintentional. Shockmaster entrance on Flai for the Gold WCW in 93.

Intentional Kevin Sullivan/Mike rotundo reaction when Steiner told them Sting could beat them with the scorpion.

  • funnstuff- Joel Gertner Promos

    the Bushwackers as Dudleys

    gimmick characteres

    unitentionally funny- Any LexLuger Interview

Sid asking during live taping can we start over.

Rey Misterio being launched head first by Nash into the trailer on Nitro

I always loved Flair fall after he got beat on

  • any match featuring a backfiring steel chair attack.

ex: (I hate to use his name) Benoit tries to interfere Angle and Edge's match when Angle got the Steel Chair. Benoit tries to help, Angle aims for him, misses the chair bounces off the ropes into angle's face, and Edge follows up with a spear and the win.

I also think it was kinda funny the very first time I saw Big Show in a hardcore match, some sap tries to hit him with a chair/trash can, and big show punches it right in their face.

  • I'll admit, the Miz and Morrison making fun of Festus and the bell was funny

  • Funniest moment ever was when Big Boss Man dragged Big Show's dad's coffin behind his car from the cemetary.

JR Foley, when managing Wendi Richter once yelled at her during a match, "You're supposed to be a champion, you stupid bitch." I almost pissed myself laughing!

  • The LEAST funniest moment in wrestling was Vince mocking JR's colon and that whole segment.

  • ok i got a question that's completely off topic, sorry for that btw, but i haven't been able to find the answer.

Does anyone know if Kazushi Sakuraba ever wrestled the Great Muta/Kenji Mutoh? and if there's any vid of it around.

  • Great opening with Boom Boom

  • delirious !!!!!!!

  • God Bless Colt Cabana!!! RIP Scotty Goldman!

  • least funny to me is doink the clown

  • I liked heel Doink. Once Matt Borne left and Doink became face, just sad!

  • what about the rock in 2003?ive always enjoyed rock as a heel way more than as a face, cos he was the kind of jock bully character everyone loved to hate.oprob my fav was during a battle royal, when he left halfway to do commentary with jr and king and him insulting hurricane and rosey, that was amusing.

  • also not to come off as hate here, but i think colt cabana is one of those wrestlers who tries too hard to be funny...i saw his match with ace steel at take no prisoners and the gags got very old

however, delirious on the other hand is fantastic...rhett is great as well

  • Funny: Has anyone mentioned the "Billy Bitchcakes" promo Edge cut on Billy Gunn after KOTR 2001? WOW. From Tajiri doing the 5 sec pose to promising not to "Billy Gunn" his reign, I still go back & watch this online. Classic moment! :)

Not funny: Dr. Hiney skit from RAW 2005. That segment just completely bombed. Not even the King could spin that into anything positive. Just poor taste. :(

  • Gillberg was hella funny! I hope they bring him back to whoop Hornswoggle's bitch ass out of WWE.

  • lol @ delirious

  • Edge and Christian were hilarious XD

    Y2J and Stephanie moments XD

  • i got a few great unintentional ones:

at the royal rumble 2009 when hardy started chanting 'hardy hardy' trying to get the crowd behind him and then they chant 'we want Christian' back that was pretty good

also many many scott steiner segments especially the one with tomko and the one about the 47 degree axis

also a great funny moment was when JBL was kicking out all those mexican druing his feud with eddie (RIP)

  • any shoot interview with the Iron Sheik is PRICELESS....Jericho in his WCW days when he read his list to prove he was the "Man of 1004 holds" on Nitro was CLASSIC

  • yea I agree chikara is bleh in comedy and a lot of their wrestlers (especially quackenbush) is overrated, the only wrestler I apriciate in chikara is claudio, gotta admit he is good

  • Funny thing is I know a lot of people who don't like him, but I'm a big fan of his. He's got a lot of unique things going for him - his style, his nationality, his character, etc. but yeah, in the ring, his stomps are the only thing he doesn't do well, heh, everything else - he's got ridiculous strength, agility, he can do a lot of styles. Here's a HEY for Claudio :)

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Funniest moment in wrestling history? Two words: Shock Master....

  • ROH is awful. CHIKARA is awesome, watch an Eddie Kingston promo/match.

  • Yeah, Chris Hero is the man. Hey, i know this has nothing to do with this video but, does anyone know when The Rock first used the peoples elbow?

  • I enjoy quality wrestling promotions like the Big 3 on TV, so I enjoy CHIKARA. I know going in that I'm gonna see something hilarious and see very good technical wrestling. I also think that the loose atmosphere by the fans result in wrestlers being more comfortable to create magic. See Revelation X: Colony vs. Portal.

I think we are all forgetting that wrestling is subjective. What works for some doesn't work for others. There's no need to belittle others for having different opinions.

  • Thanks so much for writing that last part. I don't like Chikara, at all, but during the video or these posts I've never said someone who did like it - such as yourself - is stupid, uninformed, should die or anything else I've heard to describe me just because I don't like the same thing, heh. Everything is subjective so thanks for giving a different and disagreeing opinion in the manner you did

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • I've got a friend, huge ROH mark, who I keep trying to convince to like your show. I show him all the ROH guys you have plugging your show, he said once you guys get Chris Hero he'll come around. Think about it.

  • Never, heh. That's one viewer we can do without ;) ha Besides, you don't have to convince him to like the show ; if he doesn't, that's fine. If you do, great!

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • I like CHIKARA and i think it's pretty funny and it has some good wrestlers like Mike Quackenbush you can't say that Quack isn't a good wrester

  • Sure I could - unless you like overcomplicated wristlocks done by a weirdo in parachute pants. I know people dig his 'lucha' style, but he doesn't do anything for me

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Bryan Danielson: A man who does overcomplicated wristlocks in his maroon underwear. Bit strong to be calling Quack a bad wrestler. There was a period where I didn't like Kengo Mashimo at all but I could tell he had something going for him. I just didn't get it or take anything from it at the time. Just wasn't my thing.

  • I love over complicated wristlocks! For me Quack is like star trek i try to follow him but i can't. I dig the parachute pants. No body messes with the parchute pants!

  • OH YOU KNOW WRESTLERS! WOW MY OPINION ON YOU COMPLETELY CHANGES! YOUR OPINION'S ACTUALLY RELEVANT AND MEANINGFUL, NOW!

(Just so you know, that's sarcasm. With egos as big as yours, you might think it's a complement, which worries me.)

  • Yes, I consider wrestlers and important people in wrestling(well, not in WWE, heh, but that's anyother story, anyway...) approving of the show a compliment. That's gotta be less egotistical than being assaulted by Chikara fans for merely not liking their particular choice promotion.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • I do love how you're using terms such as "assaulted" and "egotistical" in regards to this discussion and CHIKARA fans. It's hardly "egotistical". You say something semi-controversial, you're gonna get a reaction (if you're trolling, bravo, I suppose). This should not be a shock.

I also love how you consider important people in wrestling approving of a show to be a compliment. Apart from the ones in the most important wrestling company in the world. Who could give a shit what those guys think.

  • That's really funny coming from someone with a wide scope of wrestling like you have. You know there's a whole world of wrestling outside the most important wrestling company in the world, but they don't count?? Wouldn't you consider it a compliment if Chikara said, "Great job defending us there!" The fact that some wrestlers watch us and say, "Good show" let alone be on the panel is a compliment considering the nature of our show is we don't sugarcoat it's ills.

    -E

  • The other companies do count. I read your point a different way, as if you don't care if they approve or not. Just a misinterpretation.

I wouldn't really consider that much of a compliment because what is this? It's two dudes discussing shit over the internet. Hardly going on some news show and getting in some heated argument with a host. It doesn't mean much. If someone agrees that's good enough for me, regardless of who they are but it's not something I'm use to add credibility to my side.

  • ha, you might be surprised how many wrestlers practically live on message boards, heh. I guess we've seen that even in the big leagues the past few weeks too, but that's another thing altogether. Point being we put a lot of work in to the show so like you if someone agrees with something we say that's nice, but like I said I consider compliments coming from wrestlers or people associated with wrestling a compliment. I wish I could tell you what they told me just a few hours ago about this :)

    -E

  • Bit of a tease, that. Although I can probably have a guess, and it probably depends on who you talk to.

  • Well, I certainly don't want to "rat" out anybody, but I can tell you that - at least on an independent level - especially being these guys are younger, they spend a LOT of time reading message boards. "I read a message board & they said..." is something you hear a lot. Hell, you might be Quackenbush and I don't know it, ha. But a lot of times wrestlers just look at it like, "It's a payday" & nothing more so maybe we're arguing over nothing, ha

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • I can assure you I'm NOT Mike Quackenbush. I run the CHIKARAFans site though. You should read through that King of Trios thread for MY pros and cons of that particular weekend. Ibushi 4-way, hooray! The Future Is Now eliminating Team DDT, oh god no.

  • haha, maybe if I can surf past the "that ponytailed dude is a fucking loser" posts ;) Ibushi is pretty good, I'll give you that but I'll get back to you with the list of stuff I've seen later on tonight or tomorrow. BTW, Alvarez posts with goofy statements on his news updates on Observer's own site, so does that make him as bad a "journalist" as me? :)

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • I don't think Bryan's ever said anything like you did about Quack. At least from what I can recall.

  • No, not to that extent, but I guess I'm not known for tact, heh. What can I say, I won't mince words? But my point was he (also) does seem less than a journalist when I read his stuff & his internet radio work is worse. We never claimed to be journalists regardless, but rather more like observers or commentators. This is supposed to be a talk show, not a news show, but if you can learn something, great. I'm interested to hear about the Japan shows you've been to.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable.

  • When it gets to serious facts, Bryan is just as serious as anyone else. I think his audio shows are tremendous, which I've been subscribing to for about 3 years now, which is where he expresses the majority of his opinions, which still never vere anywhere near "So and so might be hurt and misses this show, good stuff!". His opinions seem quite informed so I can't pick too many holes.
