  • Hey, Max! Greg Monks here! As I said once before, you've been a great inspiration to me. You're the reason I write and play my own brand of rags today!

  • The best music.l Max Morath was on public TV in our area approx 1961 My daughter thur nite she knew when he was coming on she would get her small rocking chair in front of TV " Mom Our Man is on" She was 3 years old.. We loved the show. was never long enough. .

  • My last name is Morath o_O

  • I was just reading that Felix Pappalardi played bass with Max in the early 60's. After that Felix produced Cream and Mountain. He played bass with Mountain and was the bass player on "Mississippi Queen" and sadly died in the 80's.

  • i'm related to him!!! :O YAY!

  • hi max is awesome

  • I saw this danced on a ferry from Finland from Sweden years ago and called "the chicken dance."

  • Thank you for posting this treasure.

  • Max Morath is THE ragtime man. No one better. No one ever will be. Big, Big WOW

  • Wow!!! I thought I would never see an acknowledgement here of what a ragtime genius Max Morath was. I have 3 of his LPs. His version of Breeze from Alabama is by far the best ever played by anyone. Oh, I could go on and on. Thanks!!
