  • Anyone know if this song was on the soundtrack?

  • Eye-Phone!, a lawsuit apple would not win.

  • 3:08 lol facepalm

  • he probably said "Thomson EyePhones"

  • "I could crash you from here man *mantis stance* wipe out your entire fucking board!" Best scene in anything ever XD

  • it happens to me every time i get a new computer , random 80's cybermusic comes out of no were

  • Theres a Data Glove, called the P5... This needs to be explored further.

  • @sinni800 There is CyergloveII , better model

  • @jmm1233 I looked at it, not actually better. Does not have the positioning system built in like the P5. Also seems more expensive and "professional". P5 is a lot cheaper to get, and you can even get it nowadays. But I don't think if any of those have x64 drivers for any system...

  • @sinni800 P5 low tech look ftw , though i do like the aethestics of cyberglove even if it more "corp" looking , it works for motionbuilder which has x64 drivers though the development kit is x32 , P5 got another one up on it though works with NI Reaktor Scratch :)

  • @jmm1233 Since you know a lot about this, it seems.. I looked on the scratchpad wiki and it seems that the P5 is just another "HID (Human Interface Device)" which works with the default Windows drivers. The accessing of the P5s "advanced" functions seem to work over the P5DLL. Is this true? If it is, it should work on x64 absolutely fine.

  • @sinni800 yeah it will do , most of the vr gloves are hid for general usage and gaming control but they have the sdk for more technical usage for science labs , it not like i am developer in them i don't know them that well , just know i like them

  • @jmm1233 Im ordering some P5 now. Me and a friend (we are both programmers) will see what it can do..

  • @sinni800 well if you said you was going to order a cyberglove2 i would have been so jealous

  • @jmm1233 I don't see any prices so I suspect it's very expensive.

  • @sinni800 cheapest place to get them is at cyberworld inc , cwonline{dot}com , look in their store section , it got them for $59 ,

  • Q: Were'd you learn to do that?

A: I used to have a summer job in that part of my childhood I can't remember.

  • Didn't anyone notice that he also asked for a GPL'd stealth module. But probably most of you neohippies wouldn't get what that means.

  • To me, The Matrix was awesome

but this movie, was an orgasm in a bottle

  • pen names

  • WHO THE FUCK IS THAT HOT AND SEXY FEMALE MILF THERE LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Get of my board !

  • hmm... eye phone, makes sense.

  • Does anyone have any ideas on how to make this internet imagery. Like what software to use?

  • @UltraEchelon Dunno about software but they go over the hardware at the beginning of the clip

  • I'm afraid that doesn't look so ill-representative of Gibson's writing, although good prose is absorbing by itself...

  • his voice :3 <3 -keanuuu

  • also that body scanning scene was way before its time.

  • It is "EYE"-phones. Instead of HEAD-phones, since the goggle-like gadget was on his eyes. 1995 is waaaaaaaaaaay to far back to have had mention of Apple's iPhone! Steve Jobs hadn't even come back to Apple yet!!!

  • @zelvadrian Most of these technologies that we have today, is old technology. The government has technology 20 to maybe 50 years ahead. Some say they are 100 years ahead! What the public is given is old technology. The government had cellphones during WWII.

  • so is this the ARI beta? O_O

  • TROLL @ 3:48

  • he might have said Thompson Eye-Phone, not iPhone.

  • He said I-phone!! The Apple folks have a sense of humor!

  • You could reboot this with Keanu wedging a few terabytes of information into his skull and instead of data that will save the world, he'll just be a peddler of pirated movies on the run from the FBI. Standing on a rainswept street corner, yelling at folks: "Hey, sweetheart, I got the latest Brad Pitt movi--oh, shit!" He darts off into the wet afternoon with Federal Agents on his tail.

  • If only the real internet was like this . . .

  • Outdated hardware and primitive graphics?

  • No, laid out like a virtual space such as in this sequence, and usable with Head-Mounted Displays and Tactile Virtual Interfaces. I would love to have that kind of internet at home.

  • Maybe, but nevertheless this movie had a lot of imagination. It had a great plot, good ideas...but it was executed in a somewhat tepid fashion. Keanu, who has an overall very likeable screen presence, wasn't effective here at all. (His wooden acting style was not apt to this type of story, in my opinion.)

  • Did he just say Thompson iPhone?

  • yes

  • yes! steve jobs from apple just stole that

  • soo funny he coudl just google everything now

  • is it just me, or did he actually say he needs an iPhone??

god thos Apple people are sneaky

    ;)

  • this proves that iphones will be supported in 2021

  • He told 'Eye Phone' actually.

'Eye Phone' - was the name of first commercial HMD made by VPL company in the eighties, lead by Jaron Lanier. Apple just registered similar-sounding trademark decades later.

  • i need a pc now))))

  • Japan is hightech

    Online...

    hehe

    :}

  • i think we going right now first time online...

    looooool

    :]

  • I've got a Sound Logic 16 ESA Card, old card from my Pentium 2 Intel 1820 250mhz 64 mb edo ram. Ah, the classics.

Anyways this was a great movie. +5

  • If you guys like that, you should read William Gibson books. He pretty much created the whole cyberpunk type world.

Sorry if that's 'captain obvious' at the wheel there, just for those who haven't heard of him.

  • What's with the modem screeching and beeping and chittering as if it were a model from the late 70's or early 80's? (Today's modems don't even utter a sound. And this movie is taking place in 2021. You tend to think that future modems are silent.) :) Eye-phones--cool. Flesh mechanics--cool. Wet-wired implants--cool. This movie had a lot of great ideas, but the execution could have been so much better!

  • what do you want from a movie from 1995? people had no idea stuff wound be like it is now. heck hard drives were under 1GB then. they actually did make a lot of noise when they were accessed so i am sure people thought they could get as quiet as they are.I am surprised you can't even hear the fans on some computers. may i remind you that just about everyone had dial up in 95 too. can you really think how stuff is going to be in 25 years from now because that is what they were trying to do in 95.

  • It really can't be TOO hard to just implant a flash drive in your head nowadays, actually your brain is the last place you'd probably put it.

  • Heh, he asked for iphones.

  • hm... maybe eyephones? :)

I love this scene, one of the best cyberpunk motives.

  • Another one of my fave keanu movies...Id like to be the first get a 1000gig drive in my brain....

  • Screw that...I'd get a 1 Petabyte implant buried in my brain.

  • You'd have to dump a chunk of long term memory lol.
