@TooUniek If Darth Maul never killed Qui Gon himself, Dooku probably would of still been with the Jedi order, He wouldn't kill his friend Sifo-Dyas(or whatever his name was) and made the clone army that was made for the Republic and the jedi, programmed with that order 66. So Palpatine would have an army but no orders for them to kill jedi and an apprentice(Anakin) to help him.

@startingsprinter They used force run to move faster. Qui Gon was a master at defensive forms.

We must remember that it cant be used for more than a second or two. Obi Wan was a good distance away. Even if he had used it, he would have been unable to catch up. He also would have used up his force in that situation leaving him more vulnerable to Darth Maul. He used so much force to make his reflexes faster against Darth Maul at the end of the fight.

i won't take offense because obviously people are going to disagree, but this is one of the best star wars. the characters own, the storyline was great (if you dis the story you have to have issues, since the plot was well thought out. if you think the story was bad it's probably because you didn't understand it), darth maul is the coolest sith ever, and the lightsaber fight was amazing (only topped by Battle of the Heroes, although i like the classic fighting style of Duel of the Fates)!
