watch kc frap in the ring on other youtube vids, one time was in the ring for two minutes, other times she runs to another ring and back to my ring, the judge heard a whooooooooooooosh!
LOL, my dog goes absolutely insane zoomy like this in agility trials sometimes. The judges usually get really mad. Any tips for what to do to control this? Or to get the dog to actually come back to you when they just want to do zoomies?
This is so fantastic! Such a moment that all the hard work and effort is unimportant & you can just laugh histarically at your crazy dog. I've gotta admit, I love those moments.
@perrtl pride??? gave that long go, considering what kc puts me through in the ring... i go and have fun, and just happy when in agility, she lets me run sometimes too!!!!!!!! sometimes she does all the running and i use my 45 seconds trying to get her to ....."come kaley, come...COME!"......kc IS eight....and obedience is not her thing in this life time!!!!!!!!!!!
kc show obedience career ended quickly, but she did Q in rally that same afternoon, but we go on to have more fun in the agility ring....where running is more her style!
OMD! Thank you, that really made my day! All the more funny for those of us who've had a dog go wild in the obedience ring. This was about the cutest!
Our Corgi used to do that on our postage stamp of a front yard. I would yell, "git her, git her, she's no good!" and pretend to grab at her as she ran by. She thought she was really cool being too fast for us.
As cute and fun as it is to watch, I feel like this is just another example of pent up energy in a dog. Corgis are very high level energy and need to be exercised often. These random bursts happen when the dog just has to release it's energy.
For those uninitiated into the world of corgis, this activity is called "FRAP" (for "frantically running and playing", or "frequent random acts of play"). Once a corgi gets started on this activity (occurs often and out of the blue), all you can do is get out of the way, watch and enjoy. My fella does figure-eights around the family room and living room coffee tables!
That's hilarious...LOL ( I guess not so hilarious for the handler) Them corgis are just too smart! They really know how to pick the perfect time and event to embarrass ha haha
Dogs, dogs, dogs....they sure know how to do it perfectly at home then choose to embarrass us right after we tell everyone, "LOOK! LOOK WHAT MY DOG CAN DO!!"
I'm afraid that if I enter a show offlead with Chloe she will do that. Che already did the circle thing during onlead agility at our 4-h show. She came flying out of the tunnel and did like five laps around the agility course.
I love this video!! I have a corgi too - some days he loves obedience training, other days he'd rather do something else, but it's not nearly this cute or funny :)
my sincere condolences to the handler-- my first BHT pem was THIS much of a ham... I've stood in your shoes!! what a mortifying experience... Kaley sure was having a great ol' time!
Kaley made my day :-) I laughed so hard I still have tears in my eyes :-) How typical corgi :-) this is the most fun video I have ever seen, beats all Hollywood productions :-)
I am laughing to hard I have tears in my eyes...we haven't attempted the OB ring yet. I have an Aussie instead of a Corgi, but I could see him getting ideas!
That looks just like something our Corgi stinker would do, LOL!! Too funny, I'd love to know what the judge had to say, hopefully she found the humor :):)
The only thing missing was what we call the "corgi wiggle". That's the "turn over on your back and wiggle with your feet in the air" move. All Corgi owners can identify with this video I'm sure!

that is a hard one to correct....some say start to leave the ring, but kc does her own thing regardless.. definitely do not chase your dog!

I LOVE when folks have the sense of humor to swallow pride, enjoy the happiness of the dog and post something like this. :-)
I have a Pharaoh Hound who's nearing the age of an Obedience Pharaoh, she's 8. Maybe sometime in the next few years? LOL!!
