  • is wonderful

  • What a song!!! What a guy!!!!

  • Today is actually David Cassidy's Birthday! Happy Birthday David ! Love you still.

  • wow this beautiful guy

  • david cassidy: the most underated singer ever

    brilliant song

  • I wish we had the live version of him actually performing this in the 70s it was just great!

  • LOVE this song..thanks for sharing..

  • This guy has an incredible talent!! He is so cute in shorts, especially at 1.36, I often wish he wore them more often, his legs look so long for a shortish guy, just a great talented beautiful package.

  • i believe this song was written by a man named Kin Vassey, who was a member of Kenny Rogers and the First Edition. unfortunately Kin died a few years ago. david does a beautiful version of this song.

  • He is still at the Top for me!

  • Not sure about that. From what I could find, it seems Cassidy's version was released a few months earlier than Darin's (Feb 72 on his Cherish album vs Aug 72 for Darin's Bobby Darin album on Motown). I have no info on recording dates. Someone recently uploaded Darin's version here - was intrigued to hear it after reading your comment as Darin is a fave of mine. Arrangement is quite different.

  • It is a very cool recording. Glad to hear you like Darin.

  • David Cassidy has in recent years played the role of Bobby Darin on stage in Vegas with a Rat Pack musical

  • sigh...................

  • !n 1974,specifically,David Cassidy was THE Thing with the girls in year 8 - the'd talk of him of coure, but all their friggin' exercise books would have pictures of him on the covers - that type of jazz.1975 and he was yesterday material. And I'm not talking suburban America - this is remote regional Australia. But David Cassidy did well - he milked the success of the Partridge Family admirably with his solo career stuff.

  • summerkiss. oh she that we all adore!! and the rest of us here, that worship at Davids feet! I have to say that the picture at 0.37 on this.. is my ALL TIME favourite picture of David... ever.. its got the hair, the eyes, the look, the whole David Cassidy.. " It" Thankyou. mwa

  • hi carol, agree, agree, agree, i too am a worshiper!!! and love, love, love this song too.

  • SumerKis, right now I am having marriage problems and this song really has a different meaning for me now. Thanks again for posting. I know I will be OK because of people with heart and feelings like you that can take a song and pics and make you really truly feel that David Cassidy does relate to his fans. We are just all people doing the best we can even when 100% and love is just not enough to keep relationships together. I think of you as "my youtube main gurl"! You have so much heart!

  • surreal2008trueblue, sorry you're having marital trouble. David's rendition of songs always express some profound responses. He's a good guy. i'm glad there's a place for us!

    Barb

    ~HUGS to all Cassidy's fans!!!

  • oh Sumer he was just so PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! still amazing !!! but ! he was PERFECT! still love him always will! xxx

  • Sooo good!

SumerKis, what would we do without you. You're wonderful.

  • Just realised two things.....as it was the last song on side two it was time to get out the bath !! and also the title is so relevant as I realise it was an omen for being without Margaret.

  • When I was 16 I used to lay in the bath listening to this album and this song in particular. It was so relaxing and at that time I was going out with a girl who was a massive David fan and she used to think I looked like him. She was a fantastic girl and I was sorry it ended a while later. I stupidly ended it as I started to believe in what people were telling me. So this song brings back so much. Margaret was her name !

  • Sumerkis, you always make my day!!! Wonderful song and pics...we sure do have great taste in men! You are awesome!!!

  • We sure do! =)

  • SummerKis38!!! Você está fazendo um belo trabalho!!! Que você seja muito Feliz também!!

    Muito obrigada!!

  • Thank you!

  • I am a big DC fan. Got to see him in 1972. He sang this. I will never forget either.

  • I saw him in either 72 or 73, he sang it here also. He played the piano while performing it.

  • Got to meet his best friend Sam after the concert. He peformed 2 shows in Tulsa OK. I was on 4th row center. It was a dream come true. Only a few of my camera shots turned out of him. I am really enjoying all the videos that you have on here. Brings back alot of wonderful memories. I had tons of pictures from my avid fan days but only have a few now and my concert book. I just love hearing the songs and this one put a chill down my spine...took me right back to 72 at the concert.

  • what a great song, was this from a solo album ? or was it a PF album ? what a beautiful voice thanks so much for these great vids, i love to watch them, as i have been a huge D.C fan since i was 4 yrs old[am now close to 42yrs old].

  • It came from the album,David Cassidy - Cherish. Its the last song on the first side. =)

  • thanks so much for the info. i am going to go on amazon to find his past albums as i lost all my first editions in a flood many years ago along with posters and assorted other things. thanks again

  • JUST BEAUTIFUL. THANKS.

  • absoluteley perfection on earth

  • Another classic song by David written by Kin Vassy. There's one later perform by Bonnie Raitt in 1975 in YouTube. Another one song (after "I Write The Songs") that David released first.
