@Chiriveque2009 sorry about that! My channel is mainly oriented towards the females, as it's 90% beauty & fashion oriented...when I do my random chit-chat videos & vlogs, I forget that I might be talking to the men audience as well! It's just a habit that I have, but I'll work on changing it! I hope you understand, and don't take this little greeting of mine too seriously :) Of course you're welcome to watch my videos as well! :) Sonja
Hello MissTrendyKitty. What a beautiful experience!! I like your accent!! Slavic women speak sexy when they speak other non-slavic languages. Btw, very nice that you're a model & a polyglot!! That's rewarding for the polyglot community! Very good. Y hablas también español, vdd? Cuando quieras practicar, ya sabes donde me tienes. Saludos, hermosa!! :-D
Watching TV with subtitles really helps a lot when it comes to learning a language(I think that's why I've improved my English that now I don't even need to watch movies or TV shows with them). At the moment, most of the stuff on cable TV in Brazil are in English, but unfortunately they want to change it all to dubbed :/
that's really bad, cause I just love paying attention to the words pronunciations and all the different accents.
Hey, I'm from Germany and now I'm in 8th grade and learning English since 3 years, French since 4 years and in 10th grade I'm allowed to choose my 3rd language ( Latin, Spanish or Russian). Wow, but you're very good... And my English isn't as good as yours!!! Your really much better (: Good Luck :D
@ItsJustMe857 hey, your English is very good! :) I just want to remind you something about the English grammar. When you are trying to express how long you have been learning a language, you use "for". So it should be "I have learned English for 3 years, French for 4 years." Since I'm learning German, I understand why you used "since.= seit", but in English, if you want to express something that you have been doing since the past to the present, you use "have been for" :)
Here in America, we don't take language until high school. The exception is if you go to some private school, then Spanish is the norm. Even at the high school level , Spanish, French, and sometimes Latin or ASL are usually the only languages offered.
It's *wonderful* to see someone so beautiful and intelligent sharing their experiences in learning foreign languages!
@SarahMcKissick That's super rare though :) The only people I know that did that went to private schools, magnet schools, or charter schools. Or, they lived in an area with a good school district. Most of the American schools aren't that great :(
Did you go to private or charter, or are you in an area with a good school district? :)
@kittybee124 I go to a public school lol. From Texas Education Agency it got the 2nd highest rating. Well the district did. It's really small, like we only have 1,800 students or something in the whole district (Very small town). In junior high we also had Algebra I and Health as high school credits :3
@kittybee124 In the United States, most of the kids who take languages don't really want to learn them. It is like leading a horse to water. If the horse doesn't want to drink, he isn't going to drink. Only a small minority actually want to learn the language.
Ja mislim da si ti iz Hrvatske!Svaka ti cast lepo pricas engleski i verujem Nemacki ces brzo nauiciti!Puno licis na moju drugaricu koja je nastavnica engleskog jezika!Puno pozdr. iz Nemacke!Viel Glück!
Sonja, you speak better English than most of the people I hear around here, who have it as thier Mother tongue. I am serious! I think you sound better than ME, most of the time! LOL LOL and it's MY mother tongue. I do love foreign languages and would love to know about 4 fluently!xx
My sister and I both agree that even if you didn't do most of your videos in English, we'd just have to learn Italian or Croatian so we could still watch your videos because you are just that wonderful! =) Thank you again for sharing your story with us, Sonja. Hope you have a great week!!
