i read that they have discovered oil under lake albert and things might change there...hope its not true.

Don't get it how you get a 114 pound Perch on a random spot in slow water....
Seems like an amazing diversity of wildlife...far beyond what I've seen from West-Africa.
The biggest perches we've caught in the Senegal river in Mali are around 40-50 pound only. And we've been fishing for 20 years there....searching all waterfalls in that part of the country.

We were a little bit suprised the big perch was caught from a catfish pool off the main flow right in the edge on a static deadbait.
