  • wooww... that sound is awesome. my band to is playing that song... tough piece to play but loads of fun!!!

  • Dang.... thanks for the memories HIS Bands!!!!!!!!!!! I'll really miss all of you and your families!!! Mr. AKA Mario.....

  • dude... omg o.o I sucked at my solo lol!!! But I got better over the years :DDD

  • What was going on with the trumpets...

  • @XxS1cKH47VdZxX they are jus rushing to much i guess...

  • @nsy94 actually they are not rushing but going very slowly

  • im an oboist in my band n i'll play diz song 4 diz year's competition... overall, balancing is not good... i hear more saxes than horn 4 the melody... not blend enough... could be more better... just clean up a lil bit n it will be sound really good :) u hav a great band, with many people.... its just that u need to be more sensitive on pitch n balance n blend...

  • i love listening to the Timps on this song,

    its pretty epic =D

  • i like it

my school has this on our marching show this year =D

  • w8 is this highlands intermediate in pearl city hawaii?

  • I was like 'huh?! we have a Highlands intermediate school here?' Apparently it is near Pearl City and Waipio

  • i think it's pearl city...across from first pearl city baptist church...near manana ish elementary school...yet kinda far away from manana i think

  • oh man, im scared... we have to march to this....

  • the seating arrangement is so boxed up hahaha

  • is euphonium solo la..

  • we're playing this song now :)

you guys are pretty good :D

hehe like everyone i have my thing...

um trumpets couldve been louder and clearer at some tonguing parts..

    contour :D

    buttt.. awesome ..cool

  • i was reading the comments....

@power0fgod , you weirdo, there is a baritone solo at 7:15

  • oh please, this looks like an school band!! I think that they have a lot of good things, we can't judge them so hard, they play it very well.

  • Rushing .... sax and horns not producing the tone tat supposed to blend 2gether ... cornets not even making the pitch sometimes... blaring out .... clarinets sound very stuck .... running notes rushing ... not with the band .... oboe solo very weak .... no expression and a little out of tune .... errm a little too loud...

  • The saxes and horns don't blend,I think, because some/all horns are playing an octave lower.

    - I'm playing this this semester in a concert band :)

    FRENCH HORN!

  • why do those hornist put the bell on the knee??

however, they're great! I'm studying this with my band and can't see the hour of playing it in concert!!

  • there is no solo at 7.15 ....u stupid or smth isit bass clarinet is also playing and i dun understand bar 198 suppose only snare drum but i heard the crash playing

  • The solo around 7:15, i think it was Baritone, was very good for a kid this age, especially with vibrato, dang.

  • Comment removed

  • heck this song is KICKASS! we played this in district band and it got the LOUDEST (i mean screaming like crazy) applause, even louder than the higher band.

  • plus the ending made me cry and it was so touching and an awesome ender.

  • gostei mto do vidio vale apena ver

  • once again, kudos, but i still think, in the words of my flute teacher and conductor, (dont take this personally): "the rest of the band needs to shut up to hear the flutes!"

the solo flautist stuffed up twice, but we're all human.

    FLUTES, WE COULDNT HEAR U!

  • this skool is really priveleged. i play the flute and we did this last year for skool. real great piece, but there were only 2 french horn players, 3 flute players, and the clarinets are lazy, as well as the 5 saxafone players

  • Yea i agree its far too slow and some intonation issues but these kids are young and performed it far better than many other bands ive heard.... good job

  • Too slow? Excuse me? I think this is the actual speed and they did a GREAT job. APLAUSE! BTW, if my English is bad, just tell me, I'm from the Netherlands XD

  • lol your English is great better than mine.... but i neva said they did a bad job or anything. They did execellent. And thats not the real speed of this piece, trust me, i play it

  • Did you know that lol in dutch means fun? You call it laugh out loud XD

Anyway, I play this too. So, I guess I think I too know how you should play this. But after all, we all suck, so, I forgive you, or you me, or something like that... I think or something

  • I go to Mary G. Montgomrey and we play this and let me say that trombones have a hard part

  • Wow, these people are quite young. With our orchestra we play it slower, even when we allmost only exist out of grown-ups. I play the saxofone :D

  • OBOE SOUND AHHH,,

    so nice

  • during the euponium solo, why do they film the bass?

  • Where can i find the saxophone score for this? Is fantastic

  • u guys pretty good for a middle school band to play this song.

  • The trumpeters seem not to be able to pitch well...

  • if u guys think this is good, u should listen to TKWO, or when SMU played in NBC. SMU's was the best i have heard. clear tonging, clear notes and slow parts expressed well. they got the highest mark in the contest, winning a gold with distinction.

  • i was in inter choir

  • this orchestra is....huuuuuuuge

for the love of god why so big o.0

  • It's not an orchestra, just a band. :p

and it's huge because it's an intermediate school band with 8th and select 7th graders. :]

  • oh god, it just get louder and louder.... solo for obeo could be better. I would say the "love theme" (in the middle of piece, 165-198) could be a lil more lovely. Overall I think its great. especially for a middle school.

  • i found it marvellous!!

we have played this song 2 years ago, and know how difficult some parts are

Even the oboe middle part was performed excellently

  • lol that oboe was flat. the solo was quite emotionless if you ask me

  • needs more xylophone (if it was even there?)

other than that it was terrific

  • the oboist sounds a little on the flat side.

    other than that its great.

  • amazing job! u have a huge band:P my wind ensemble just started playing this, im trying to get a feel for the song and its amazing! thanks so much for posting, helped me alot

  • Great job, this is really a tough piece to play, and you guys did an awesome job. I would've suggested trying to bring out dynamics more, they seemed to come suddenly rather than gradually. I had trouble hearing the Tuba section, especially in the last 75 bars (allegro brilliante section) but I was mainly focusing on them because I'm a Tuba player myself :S

    Once again, great job!

  • Wow, Absolutly WOW.

You guys have so many Trumpets!! And low brass

in my school, the Clarinets are the majority of the band. 5-7 trumpets in our whole band.

(we might play this song for our Parade of Bands, Hawaii)

    Great job to you guys!!
