But you must not be looking at ALL if you can't find a good band in the new millennium. Just like there was bad music in the 80's, there's good music in the 2000's.

@rymcmanus I'll say that I absolutely love music from 20 and 30 years ago, but I do admit that there are some that do not sound good at all. Crappy music is played on my radio, so that prompted me to search for the decent songs of the 2000's and current music. Guess what, I stumpled upon plenty that are just as catchy and beautiful as many 80's music were. There are there, it's just they need to thoroughly search for them. I think some of the folks just gave up on looking for them.

Go look for the more unknown/underground artists. You might find ones you like.

For example Nujabes is awesome and not everybody in the west knew about him. He made various styles of hip hop but most people look at hip hop as the crap they play on the radio.

Maybe hit up last.fm and look for similar artists to the ones you like?
