It's not Swahili...i'm from Tanzania (we speak Swahili), and the chant is not Swahili. It is probably Zulu. Both are Bantu-type languages so they are very similar...
ridiculously AHH-MAYZING!!! makes me want to relive my childhood memories, i so grew up watching this movie with all my siblings!! one love all the way from New Zealand!!!!!
"Here comes a lion, Father / Oh yes, it's a lion / Here comes a lion, Father / Oh yes, it's a lion / A lion We're going to conquer / A lion A lion and a leopard come to this open place"
I met a Zulu who told me its Zulu and not Swahili. In the original song the man (Lebo M) makes the clicking sound which is characteristic of southern african languages and not Swahili

"Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba / Sithi uhm ingonyama / Nants ingonyama bagithi baba / Sithi uhhmm ingonyama / Ingonyama Siyo Nqoba / Ingonyama Ingonyama nengw enamabala"
and it means:
"Here comes a lion, Father / Oh yes, it's a lion / Here comes a lion, Father / Oh yes, it's a lion / A lion We're going to conquer / A lion A lion and a leopard come to this open place"
