Alonso is the greatest driver at the moment,there's no doubt about that.What he did with that car was amazing.From the last 8 races before Abu Dhabi,starting from Germany he got 7 podiums from 8 races(except Belgium),and 4 of them were victories.Ferrari were far inferior than Red Bull and even McLaren and he still got great results due to his performances.Have to give credits to him.I doubt any other driver would achieve that.It's normal to react like that when ypu lose a WDC you fought so hard.

I used to think he was an asshole but in this interview Alonso is a class act. If I had lost a championship like that I would have killed somebody... I don't know why I couldn't see it before 2010 but Fernando is such a nice guy. I really hope he earns that 3rd championship in the future.

Vettel's championship wasn't lucky, he won the most races and got the most poles and would have sealed it with 2 or 3 races to spare if his car hadn't let him down while he was cruising to victory in Bahrain, Australia, and Korea....

Vettel drove the Monaco grand prix with only one pit stop, i.e. completely finished tyres and he was able to keep the car on the track while under pressure from Alonso and Button. You also seem to be forgetting Monza 2008, where Vettel won with a MINARDI for crying out loud. (Toro Rosso has its foundations in in the Minardi Team). Oh, and then we have Spain of this season aswell.

@YouthEnergy i never said that vettel did that to massa or maldonado....i know hamilton did that cos i watch laughing my head off the next day when he got a 20 second penalty for it.....vettel has the fastest car and was ahead but before the crash happened which red flagged the race the commentators said in the 2 laps vettel will start to drop 3 or more seconds per lap.

@windflasher0 lol I did watch the race. You realize that when there is a red flag, the race is stopped and there is no safety car? Vettel didn't go into the pits, they changed his tyres on the grid during the red flag. They used the opportunity to their advantage.

I don't blame him.He surely has all the right to be furious.He outperformed that Ferrari that was lightyears slower comparing to Red Bull,and maybe McLaren and got in a very comfortable position heading the last race.Then what happens???.A wrong decision from his team ruins the whole season.You don't get the opportunity every day to be in a position to win the championship with an inferior car.Just look at Massa what he did throughout the season.Damm,that must have hurt a lot.

Funny how people judge by one race, so in that case: Adrian Sutil was faster than Lewis Hamilton in Malaysia 2010, Lewis had a better car, but he couldn't get past. Conclusion: Sutil is faster than Hamilton.

@pug456654 Yes I know he put his hands up in anger, but the old Alonso would have been less polite in this interview. I mean you can expect Fernando to be angry after 50-odd laps of struggle. But he calmed down for this interview. For me the true bulls*** behind this is that earlier in 2010 (Hockenheim) Ferrari forced their other driver aside to favour a man who didn't win the championship anyway. That I don't like.

Petrov wasn't aggressive. When Alonso tried to pass Petrov just held his line like he should, Alonso was not on the inside, he was behind so he Petrov shouldn't leave a singe centimeter for Alonso on the inside. They were fighting for track positions, so of cause Petrov was going to defend.

what a childish reaction. alonso was running with a bonus 7 points and still had the balls to blame petrov. when you can't overtake an inexperienced driver in an inferior car, you get what you deserve. and alonso doesn't seem to grasp the notion that if petrov was less aggressive and was kind to alonso, he would have been simultaneously unkind to the other title contenders. the only way to be fair and impartial is to treat every car the same and race hard. well done petrov

@aieljose alonso the so called DOUBLE WORLD CHAMPION couldn't overtake a ROOKIE. your point is so contradictory it's unreal. we all know that abu crapi is the worst place for overtaking, because as, martin brundle says a lot, the car in front will always be a car length ahead when accelerating. that with f-duct and rear wings that don't improve overtaking proves this.. alonso made no attempt to pass petrov until the last lap, Hamilton made attempts to pass Kubica, making him a true racer
