  • I love the build at measure 62 it gives me goose bumps!!!!

  • Lead trumpeter octave under the original

  • Great solo Trumpet player!!!!!!!

  • Why????

  • 'cause that was way better than my band lol

    different account btw

  • Thanks!

  • yurwelcome

  • Just my opinion, but at about 3:30, I think there could've been more piano. But that's just me.

    Great job again!

  • On to my favorites you go!

My high school jazz band is most likely going to perform this in a couple of weeks. I'm playing bari on this. I played alto 2 on it once, but the middle school band was just reading it with everybody. The people who got to perform was in honor jazz band.

    Very fun tune.

  • It IS a fun tune. Just kind of cruise through it. As opposed to say "Riverdance," where you really have to stay on top of it. Have you see the band's "Riverdance" video? Check it out. Watch the part starting at about the 4:45 mark. You get behind and you're done for... or "DOA!"

  • I don't think I've seen the video yet. I will take a peek when I have time. Say in a couple minutes :)

    I love challenging techique parts!

Whenever the solos come in on "Funky Cha Cha," I'm used to hearing the solo that is always on the recording..... It was Sandoval that was playing the solo yes?

  • Yeah. Arturo Sandoval wrote the song too.

  • The band has a great sound and some great soloist. They seem to be having fun, which I try to do when I play. Keep posting. I enjoy hearing ans seeing the progress.

  • Thanks DJ. We'll be in touch!

  • Nice band. I can tell each and every kid practices hard, I like the sound it sounds so pro! My high band can't play like this if our life depends on it, moStly because most of them are into hip hop and slack off. Good solo by the trumpet guy too. I have a gig for a wedding coming up wish me luck!

  • Yeah... everybody is pretty committed to it. Wouldn't last long if they weren't.

Zach is a VERY good trumpet player, and he also plays some piano, drums, etc.

You going to play the keyboard at the wedding? I'm sure you'll do great!

Thanks for the encouragement. It's always nice to hear from you!

  • What Sax and MPC do you play?

  • It's a silver 1962 Selmer-Paris Mark VI, and various mouthpieces (Otto Link metal 6, Meyer hard rubber 6, Jody Jazz Classic 5, Selmer hard rubber, etc.). On this song the mouthpiece is a Rousseau 4.
