The problem is, is that the 3Valve engine is mostly made to have that retro exhaust tone and more of a vintage type. yeah your right...i got my custom turbo kit making 400ish hp...407 to be exact. at 13psi. i got a compelet ngm rebult long block, ported heads, stage 4 cams, t3/t4 garret turbo, straight pipes, with borla mufflers, hydra ecu, ross racing pistons, and alky injection kit..and some more little stuff...but i spend more then 13 grand on the car just on performance...n people like cowboy with the 2000$ foxbody trying to compare...pretty weird..

look im not defending nissans. i own a 2003 mustang gt. sure it has a lot of advantages, i am just saying, the new mustan gt with 300hp is impressive, but 260 on the crank, with a v8 is certainly not, even though it does a 1/4 mile in 14sec, or 0-60 in 5.6 secs, which are good numbers. i am just saying that the v6 3.5 liter makes 287, and a v8 at 260. kinda makes domestics look underpowered.

well yea the Mustang Gt is. but the Mach 1 isn't, nor is the 03-04 Cobra's. However some people would rather be different and get a Mustang Gt. With much tweaking and tuning, you'd be surprise of what your 2003 Ford Mustang GT can do.

take a look at the intake manifold, about 1/3 of the engine........ALL PLASTIC and the first to snap in two..... may have won awards but the cobra engine is all metal and a hell of a lot more durable than that of the GT! These 99 - 04 mustang gts...fall apart FAST!

okay dude...frst of all..i own a 03 mustang gt. 2nd of all..i own a 04 rebuilt tuscani v6. i have some bolt ons on the mustang, and ill say this..from a dig and roll..the tuscani completely rips the mustangs apart. torque wise, sure the stang has the lead, but its fucking 500LBS heavier. im not a import/ or domestic hater, bc i know both of them have their own advantages and disadvantages. all im saying is 260 on the crank aint impressive on a v8.
