  • ultimate shithouse....your on that first acess road

  • Best 20 yearsof my life! Thank you for the video. I miss the good ole days. My buttox tingles everytime I drive down Division St.

  • Stateville, u usually go no matter what, but if it's not a serious crime, u will b sent to henry or Jacksonville or Hoover. My buddy only did 6 mnths an luckily got out. But yeah def. Fur the worst of the wirst

  • @miStiKredum no, that's not true.. there are two parts to it now... the Northern Reception and Classification center (NRC), where the majority of people going to IDOC go first to get classified before being shipped to their parent institution.. and "behind the wall", the actual Stateville prison.. Many people there are doing 20+, or life.. But there are plenty who are there doing short time.. If the crime is violent enough, or you keep fucking up once you get in, they'll ship you there

  • at stateville there was a guy that was across the hall from me that was convicted to 158 years because of a drug deal that went wrong he killed 3 people.he has nothing to loose. he will kill you if you dont do what he wants or says, thats very scary. i didnt have any physical contact with this person because i was only in reception. but i can only imagine if this person was my cell mate or in my yard, gym, or visiting.

  • THEY SENT ME TO JACKSONVILLE PRISON, THEN TO PITTSFIELD, its like a day care camp. i couldnt imagine spending the rest of my life in stateville. its seriously a terrible bad place to spend eternity. there is nothing in life thats worth the risk, not even a $1,000,000 dollars, THANK GOD IM OUT AND DONT DO WHAT I USED TO DO, ill never go back once is enough.

  • i spent christmas day in this cell.the meal was @ breakfast a frozen waffle (they dont even cook it)and juice with very cold eggs scrambled. but i did get a phone call out to my parents. they also gave us a shower after 7-9 days (i dont remember how long it was) it was a long time.then i spent new years there. it was no different MY ADVICE TO YOU DONT COMMIT A CRIME ITS A VERY SHITTY PLACE TO SPEND ETERNITY. my time was 61 days AND I DIDNT SPEND IT HERE, THANK GOD JUST 10-12 DAYS

  • I WENT THERE,i was in H house for 10 days. theres no power in your cell, no lights. i was there in december , so light during the day isnt that much. the cell was dark as night 16 hours a day. theres also no heat in these cells. i was in cell g-13. it has 2 outside walls in this cell. during the night the walls on the inside ice up. i wore 3 pairs of underwear- 3 t-shirts 1 jump suit and 2 blankets (they gave me 2) i dont know why. also my matress was wet on both sides. ill post more .

  • A good friend of mine has been there for 30 years and still hasnt had a fair trial. it wasnt proved that he murdered anyone. he was on death row but then got natural life after govenor ryan almost had a innocent man killed. 164 men on death row were given natural life. i dont know which is better.

  • I BEEN THERE IN NRC 24/TWICE A WEEK 1 TIME 4 A SHOWER THE OTHER TIME 4 YARD THE REST OF THE TIME U IN YOUR CELL FUCK THAT PLACE MOST OF THEM GUYS BEHIND THE WALL AINT NEVER CUMIN HOME.

  • that place is in cresthill jackass not joliet your on division street the old prison on state street

  • Whats with the hillbilly music?

  • yeah thats basically true. 20 years at least. 60 %murders, 20% rapists

  • the worst of the worst

  • its huge. how many men are held there?

  • i threw a beer to a prisoner on this road back in the ol days

  • Comment removed

  • Statevilles the worst of the worst in Illinois. It's STATE!

  • yeah 20 behind the wall but you go through recieving there befor you go to whatever joint ur going to

  • Makes ya wonder doesn't it? I heard that is true. It's a place where the worst people go to.

  • The worst of the worst. Murderers and Rapists.

  • Ever been to the cemetery across the street where they buried the death row inmates that were executed? I thought maybe Gacy would be planted there, but nope.

  • I though Gacy was executed at the old Joliet Prison in downtown. That is, when it was still in operation.

  • Nope. I believe they transferred him over to Stateville when they finally closed down Joliet Pen for good. It's very strange to know that you live so close to such a prolific place that housed that fat tub of shit and Richard Speck, isn't it?

  • Yeah I'm from Mokena. Still close enough. We hang around Joliet a lot.

  • @BoxcarFrank he was put to death in stateville.

  • oh my i live like really fucking close to that haha

  • ued to be called the WHITE HOUSE back in the days

  • nice song pickin...LOL

  • The Joliet Charm School

  • 2 give u a perspective of how big it is, the speed limit is 50mph an that wall goes on forever

  • brodway st in joliet

  • my buddy matts staying there

  • drive past tams or Sheridan thats fucked up 2

  • picked my dad up from there

  • me too.

  • I was a correctional nurse for 2 years and I definitely understand it is a dog eat dog world in there. I am 6 feet so many of the inmates didn't bother me. I think any 6 foot 180 pound woman scares just about anyone. They of course make lewd comments and suggestions and try and get you to bring things in from the outside. But I was never intimidated by them and that's the key. I just closed my eyes shook my head and gave them my best sigh "I feel sorry for you" look and they left me alone.

  • At first I though it was a graveyard lol! I then noticed my silliness that not just MEN die. silly me:P

  • i dont know? i'm only a kid!!

  • In the ghetto... In the ghetto!!!

  • is this a prison LOL well it sure as hell aint the holiday inn LOL

  • badass reply!! LOLOL

  • lol..

  • That looks like such a Peaceful Prison. I doesn't look like one of those big Hardcore Prisons. No Prison is good but that one looks like the one from The Green Mile.

  • No, it's bad.I know someone killed by the guards there. The only "good" prisons are the ones Martha Stewart goes to!

  • You should see the old Stateville Prison in downtown Joliet. It looks like a castle! John Wayne Gacy and some other notorious criminals were executed there.

  • Ehh,thanks for that. That's actually the one I had in my mind.My bad.Your video took me back in time-woolgathering.

Glad I only saw it from the outside!

  • it wasn't called Statesville it was called "Joliet" Stateville n Joliet iz 2 different prisons

  • The one in Joliet is abandoned. It will either be torn down or turned into a museum.

  • u doing what iz called "on the outside looking in" people in there will c that wall for the rest of thier lives!!! n trust me its far from peaceful

  • I don't think prison is such a bad place. The guys eat 3 meals a day. They get plenty of sleep. They excerise, and they can study.

Sure they fight, but the guards will break it up and protect them. When I see them on tv the inmates are laughing and joking.

Prison is only bad in the movies. In real life it's a safe and ok place to be. It's not dangerous.

  • I guess u figure a child being beat & rape is ok so long azz they eat 3 time a day study and can go outside to play u just sound so fucking closed minded u ignorant fuck!

  • Your mother is an ignorant fuck.

  • tell yo mama im on my way 4 breakfast n sex

  • Ok I will. What time will you be by?

  • around the time u leave out 4 work i don't need u peeking through the key hole pervert!

  • Ok because I was hoping to give you a golden shower before you licked my ass. Would you mind that, licking my ass?

  • Obviously you have never spent any time "inside" those walls. It's deadly in there. I worked in there for eight months as a Correctional Officer. I should know.

  • Really? What was that experience like?

  • Saw two of my fellow officers stabbed, Inmates that exploit one another for gain in status within their faction. Daily fear of the unknown as you enter your days assignment, and the thanks you give when you leave at the end of shift as you survive another day. Very hard to convey what it's like. It's is not a "normal" life, but then, what could possibly be normal about a job that secures people that have nothing to lose by killing you, since that's why most inmates are already there. Understand?

  • Is this a maximum security prison?

  • It was as long as I was there. I am not sure if its status has changed or not. I don't even know if the Work Camp, which was Minimum Security is still there either. It's been a long time.

  • WorkCamp is their as of 2003, not sure anymore, as I transfered in 2003, its still a Maximum prison & was at one pint, the Longest single cellhouse building in the US. Very bloody, very notorious history-ver controversioal as well.

  • picture the being trapt in a room most likely smaller than your bathroom. Screaming and yelling 24-7, never a quiet moment, no contact to the real world, Priority Mail envalopes taking 88 days to get to you. Never wanna go back-been out 4 years-got a job, wife, kid, nice home-they beat you into submission-& I have the lawsuit settlement to verify this claim. Trust me when I say this. No crime is worth seeing the otherside-&60% to70% of guards do good jobs-the rest are 100% assholes

  • What prison where you and why were you their?

  • Grand Theft Auto, broken down to Auto Burglary(yes i was a 18 y.o. punk ass kid) sentenced to 6 years(Graham CC c/o's put there hands on alot of the new arrivals, I tried to defend myself but only got my ass beat by the Orange Crush & 5 more years added to my sentence. I was in Graham,Dixion,Pontiac(hole) & Stateville(hole) & processed through Joliet as one of the last ones before it went Hollywood(deleted my ghostwarrior account btw-so im responding from this old account)

  • I spent 7 years behind those walls and others in Illinois, while its a very dangerous place, the guards in large, go outta their way to screw with inmates with mid games and mental warfare-not to mention the corrupt guards who smuggle contraband into inmates who can afford the prices-not many guards do this-but say 1 in 100 do-more so like 5 in 100 at this prison-1st hand witness to it

  • "Prison is only bad in the movies. In real life it's a safe and ok place to be. It's not dangerous."

LOL. You need to get out more.

  • In Minnesota there is a prison just like this in St.Cloud only that just outside the walls is a BNSF mainline. Id like to make a video just like this only with a train passing by at the same time

  • is this a prison?

  • what do u think a Penitentiary is?
