Im 16 and max 200. im 5'5 and weight 125 pounds. you supposed to bench 60% of you max for about 10 reps. i use 110 to 120 pounds to do my sets. trying to do sets with you max is so idiotic. Just cause you using less weight doesnt mean you working less. your prob working more because you can have better form. Im happy with where im at. I feel srry for all these kids on the internet who are gonna get hurt.

  • @footballplyer73 bench press is good if you throw shot put? but if your talkin football, cleans, squats, deadlifts, and any other olympic lifts are the most important. but i guess bench helps you if your a lineman. but squats and all that still help more.

  • @footballplyer73 im not saying you cant be a good lineman. but you will improve as a lineman if you work more on your squat then your bench. i agree, bench will help. but i think that you will see a bigger improvement as a lineman with your squat. Im also a lineman, and i prefer doing bench over squats. lets be honest, they suck lol. but i work on my squat a lot more. im squattin about 485 and benchin about 335.

  • The bar weights 20 - 25 pounds. Looks like there is five 10 pounds weights and maybe one 15 pound weight on each side. Not to mention they're all tapped up and probably missing some sand or cement. I'm not bullshitting either because I have plastic cement weights quite similar to these.

    Add it all up and its 150 - 155 pounds.... Which isn't bad for a 14 year old.
