Yessss! I wanted to watch a Motorweek video about the Monte Carlo SS. Here it is! I had one of these cars many years ago untill some#@&*#$@ stole it. It's a shame they lacked real power.. But even now it is still a good looking car for me. Wish GM came back with a revised version of the SS and I'm not talking about FWD. A true RWD MC SS with a heritage throwback just like they did with the Camaro. I'll be the first in line. I'll keep waiting! JOHN DAVIS...Yopu're an ICON!
This is AWESOME. THANK YOU. I've been looking for this for some time. I thought that there was a test in '85 of the Buick GN - then of 200hp, the Monte SS and the 442. Real shame they didn't show the 442 1/4 mile numbers. BTW, the glass back was slower due to heavy window. Actually the original in '83/'84 with the 3spd THM 350 was the fastest, despite 3.42:1 rear gears vs. 3.73:1. The 200R couldn't put the power down right. T-Types and GNs burned them up.
