There isn't many historic moments I was alive to see. But, this brawl happened on my 11th birthday, so I definately was around to see this one. Besides my car, this was the best birthday present I ever got. What a game.

Why do the Refs allow them to fight? I'm English, by the way. The closest I've ever come to playing Ice Hockey is playing Mario Le Meux's Ice Hockey game on my Sega Mega-Drive (I think it was called Genesis over in the U.S.), back in the early-'90s.

@bugstrut Ha ha. I'm English too, but I read it's an unwritten rule, not in the rule book. There is a code of conduct and set of rules. No weapons, and gloves must be off, and once someone is knocked out the fight is over. Officially the Ref's allow them to fight until it's "resolved" then they are penalised or some crap like that. Basically a bullshit excuse to fight lol some players have got brain damage after.
