@vegeta353658 Cause the song wouldn't have fitted the dark atmosphere of the path.. Just a wild guess .. Or they were just too lazy..

In all honesty I hated Heavens feel as the whole feeling of the path after UBW was fucked up.. It was certainly INTERESTING to see how things went.. But I hated the path... Didn't like the whole setting and atmosphere.. It just felt a bit too different from the dramatic/epic feeling of UBW which i loved...

In particular, none of the fights in the entire game hold a candle to the pure dramatic/epic feeling of the final fist-fight showdown between Shirou and you-know-who (self-censored for spoilers) O_O

@sisterlynnmarie It might've seemed more dramatic cause of the close relationship between those two and all the things that she lived through.. But FOR ME ... The way how Shirou fought with all broken bones, body breaking, spirit dying, against the wall.. Dying, desperate, but never gave up.. For me it was much more desperate then the HF..

HF was just plainly different from the other 2 paths and was much darker and serious... HF isn't better by all means, that's different tastes right there..

This game was a TOTAL surprise to me to be honest.. I thought it would be something like the anime, though there are many MAJOR DIFFERENCES IN THE STORY and the way it's presented is a lot better then the anime to be honest..

The anime was missing so much, that i feel like ''What a waste''..

A great game, a great story and stupidly great characters,,, The depth in the characters is much deeper then i thought when i first watched the anime... Brilliant, damn it!

Visual novels are scenario games. similar to quiz games you get to pick answers or responses to a question or pick a path to follow and most of the game plays on its own. Visual novels are not very good as a game because of its lack of interactivity but the multiple story endings and HCG make up for everything for people who like those genre-types of games

Visual Novel is a game genre, so it is not wrong to call it a game.

Visual Novels ARE games and i think most people who actually know Fate/Stay Night past the anime know what a Visual Novel is already.

This game is too incredible in so many ways. It's very lengthy, and the 3 routes that provides are very rewarding.

This whole game, roughly is about 50+ hours if you read everything and don't skip.

That means all routes and etc...

Very long for a visual novel eroge game.

I just finished it and currently trying to get all the Tiger Dojo Stamps. Normally games don't reward players for failing.

On an important note for every who doesn't browse TV Tropes all the time, think about the game like this.

If you ever read one of those "choose you own adventure" books, in that sense this game is no different.

@Slixer It explains the background of the Holy Grail War and clears up all the mysteries left unanswered in the first two routes. Plus, it's the longest route of them all.

Though it does feel a whole different game compared to first two routes, but not in a bad way.

@Slixer Well, if you don't mind remaining ignorant of the truth of the game's Holy Grail War and turning a blind eye to other characters (Sakura will forever be Zouken slave and eventual body in the Fate and UBW's endings) then sure. But there's a reason Fate/UBW and HF are so different. The First two are merely ideals while the last route shows the player the harsh reality and how easily borrowed ideals crumble in the face of the truth.

@LeonGun8 they crumble because the entire route is designed that way, it's hardly a show of good story telling when the first thing done is to create a big bad bigger than all other big bads and then also take the previous story and simply chuck it to have an annoying minor character become and even more annoying driving force. Emiya's ideals where are strong as the writer decided them to be. If you choose to stay true to character in Heaven's feel the game goes out of it's way to rape you.

@Slixer I guess you can see it that way, but you'd have to ignore Shirou's real ideal and what drove him insane as Archer. Shirou is not Kiritsugu, he can't sacrifice the people in front of him for faceless masses. His whole purpose is to bring happiness, to save, the people in front of him. If you told him he had to kill the person in front of him to save the world, he wouldn't do it, He'd try to save both. That doesn't change at all. In HF he just realizes his ideal is selfish and unreal.

@LeonGun8 In other words, his contradictions are always the same. In Fate and UBW he pushes through, since his ideal isn't challenged (Archer merely tried to kill him, he didn't push him into a situation where he had to choose). In HF he was pushed. How can he kill the one he wants to be happy. It's a contradiction to his ideal. If he kills her he would have failed his oath to save those in front of him, but saving her meant dooming the lives of others. Thus he realizes his ideal was flawed.

@LeonGun8 his ideal is far from selfish as Archer demonstrated he took his ideal all the way sacraficing his own happiness to save those he could even killing to ensure the many could be save alive and happy. What all the stories do however is consistently shit upon this notion of being selfless by suggesting it is selfish, what HF does is stick a random spanner in the works by making have to make this choice while his libido is still very much controlling his actions.

@Slixer Selfish as it shows he can't accept reality. You can't save everyone, attempting to do so is selfish. Shirou's original ideal and his ultimate actions are not the same. By the time he died and turned into a Guardian, Shirou had morphed his ideal and become a copy of Kiritsugu.

That said, the HF Shirou is IMO the most human of them. Humans are not completely selfless and free of desires. This one truly loved and was willing to sacrifice everything to save the one he loved. Just IMO.

@LeonGun8 the only way is ideal was selfish was because he did it even though if brought pain to those he loved however as we can see by what drove Archer to try and kill his past self he was far to selfless to the point he left himself a hollow man. As I said I feel the game tried to hard to try and make you see it as a stupid idea when Emiya on many occasions express' he knows fine well he can't save everyone but he has to try anyway. HF as I said just gives us a toxic relationship.

The original game for the PC doesn't have voices.

To include voices, you must have a copy of the PS2 version.

There's a patch for you to include voices in the PC version there as well.

Japanese voices that is, and the voices make the game a lot more fun.

I'm not sure about deleting the patch stuff though..

Actually, it's slightly different if you listen. The game op is "THIS ILLUSION", while the anime op is a remix, "disillusion", they're two different songs.
