  • Elliot I NEED UR HELP!!!!! I have 6 months to lose 60 lbs I tried ur circuit grainy sheet today tough as hell . Please any ideas? My nutrition is OK and I'm about to get stricter on it! I want to maintain getting strong I'm gonna do your circuit training Tues and Thurs and if I'm up to it sat then Mon, wed and Fri powerlift is this good?

  • hey elliott im a rising junior in high school and im about 184 pounds with some fat. my main sport is basketball but i also high jump in track. i only sqaut about 255 but i hang clean 220. i usaully do plyos couple times a week and i was wondering if that could count as "circuit" training? i would love to get down to about 175 of muscle. i have a 26in standing vert and probally a 31 in running vert.

  • Hey Eliott, is there any rule /formula that represents a minimum Relative Strength. I understand that many Powerlifters can't do more than 5 chinups, but that doesn't mean the skinny feather of a guy who can crank out 20 chinups is ideal. So like, for X body mass Y number of chinups and Z seconds of 50m sprints is a minimum. Y=? & Z=? for body mass X... AND as @Gr33kcreedWarrior1 says you might've hurt the guy, apart from calling this sissy talk, we could do with a little more sensitivity..

  • @sfayadin mass over strength, doesnt matter how strong you are, its science. The bigger you are the harder it is to move about your weight, so the twig that cranks 50 chinups is not as strong as that lifter benching 800 but cant do 2 chin ups, so yea ur correct, and yea, whole school making fun of me bout this.......

  • @giorgios95 hey dude, sorry that you're catching heat at school, it was never my intention... I just flip the camera on and whatever comes out of my mouth becomes the video. But keep your head up man, most of the little punks in your high school wouldn't have the balls to post a video like that or ask for help. Shoot me another vid when your all lean and jacked, getting a football scholarship, and I'll make a video about how cool you are ;)

  • @giorgios95 Lemme say that Eliott is completely correct. I lost 92 pounds by cutting out the "women and baby food" about 4 years ago. My going with meat, veggies, and lots of water. It works bro. and your appetites and tastes will change once you go through the detox symptoms from not eating crap food anymore. But once the tastes leave, youre good. When i saw the scale showing weight loss and the mirror showing me leaner, I was more motivated. I could run faster and longer and lift more

  • @FitnessMinded bro its not the women and children food i worry about its the normal food, i just love meat so much, and sodas, not really sodas as much as lemonade, i cant get enough of it, i just live for it. i need to decrease my appetite alot, and good for you man, i dont need to drop that much but i hope i can do it to! thanks

  • @giorgios95 Hey bro. I have a recipe for lemonade and soda that does not include any sugar or sugar free products and tastes just as good. It is natural and you make it yourself. I liked soda and lemonade too, but I value my health more. Inbox me if you are interested in the recipe

  • @NJnaturalBB I don't use the kool-aid any more because I found one of it's primary ingredients is maltodextrin, which I don't think is great for weight loss. Right now, I do the lemonade which is just lemon juice + water + stevia. It tastes the same as the real stuff once you stop drinking juice and soda. For soda, I just drink flavored seltzer water. Your taste buds will adjust to it. Seltzer water has no harmful chemicals, no sodium, and no carbs.. Hope this helped!

  • @giorgios95 Also you start to feel alot better. No bloated feeling I felt more stable and settled. Trust me, you will lose all of the weight and you will feel great.  Definently focus on circuit training. What I do is like 4 exercises back-to-back (bench press, db rows, dips, curls, pullovers) and then do 1-2 minutes cardio in between circuits. I do maybe 3 circuits starting out where I time them so that they last 30-40 minutes as a cardio session might be. I do circuit cardio sessions also

  • Elliot, usually with guys with his stature they usually have a higher amount of estrogen in their bodies right? So if he loses the weight, his testosterone goes up, thus his strength increase.

  • Have to be careful on the amount of protein you recommend, Too much protein is hard on the kidneys as I'm sure you know. All of the excess protein he will pee out or store as body fat granted protein is least macro nutrient to convert to stored fat than excess carbohydrate or lipid. Definitely never a bad recommendation to cut out the processed junk. That stuff is loaded with saturated fat and processed sugar, both of which should be kept to a minimum for losing weight.

  • Some big powerlifters have sick relative strength though. Stan Efferding and Konstantinovs come to mind. Also check out Tom Martin. He pulled 770 @ 180!

  • @slimjamie1991 that would be most heavyweight powerlifters.... relative strength is VERY different than absolute strength my friend.

  • @strengthcamp yeah I'm more interested in relative strength myself. I don't see the point of being able to lift 800 lbs if you can't even lift yourself off the couch. Andy Bolton can have his 1008 deadlift, I'll try to get to 500 in the 225 range. :)

  • @strengthcamp I think of it like a race car ie: Power to weight ratio. A big truck with 400 horsepower may be able to rip a tree outta the ground or pull a big trailer, but a small sports car like a lotus elise would kick its ass on the track!

    The science is always changing since much of it is a study of little bits and pieces and then is used with political intent further distorting it. I personally like the Testosterone Advantage diet. It's a book put out by Men's Health that makes some good arguments. One, testosterone is made from fat so a low fat diet is a low testosterone diet.

    At the end of it all your body tells you if you listen. Do you feel better, faster, stronger,/ no change/ or worse?

  • @BLiiTzBaDMaN man i have the same issue if you work out alot you have to think unconventionally about meals. Lets say the average person eats "breakfast" food usually like eggs bacon sausages pancakes toast that usual thing. Just change your eating habits for what you need to do in a day there is nothing wrong in having a fat steak in the morning before you kill it in the gym you dont need to associate foods with meal times just eat what you need to eat to succeed.
