The 2.8 litre engine has been around since day one, with this shape back in 1996. Only difference is that in 1998, it was a V6 engine rather then the much loved inline 6.

@bilalahmed2123 There was a 2.8 petrol engine so I think that the Audi put the 2.8 in a car and then maked an ad so I think it was on begin of 2.8 in Audi A4:) (don't know year. Must see a history)
