The fact that there are ppl in need as well, it is not an excuse to turn the blind eye on animals who also need assistance, its our duty to help animals because when they are ok they are OUR pet and when they are in trouble what? you want to leave them?

What a pessimistic attitude. NOBODY was helping animals, and many, many organizations provided humanitarian relief. I read somewhere that animals provided great comfort to their owners once reunited.
