  • no, the "cavallino rampante" (prancing horse) is from Baracca - the first world war fighter Ace, a gift to Enzo from the dead mans parents following Ferrari's win at the Circuito del Savio in Ravenna in 1923.

  • I read that the Ferrari Logo came about because his brother was fighting in WW1 and he was killed, and the horse was on his brother uniform as the symbol.

That's why Enzo Ferrari Use It.

Then you read what some ignorant person wrote on the net.

You look up the Italian World War One top ace, Francesco Baracca. The prancing horse was always on his plane (some say he was himself influenced by the logo of a German pilot he shot down).

Also, both Enzo's father and brother died from a Flu epidemic in 1916, not in action.

This short story misses that Enzo Ferrari had the Scuderia in 1929 racing Alfa Romeos, and made his first car Auto-Avio Construzioni 815 in 1940.
