simply the best thriller of the last 10 years, and probably the cruelest movie i've ever watched. main characters are kids, but there's no more innocence here.

more changelling and demandig than other mainstream horror movies (like the overtimated martyrs, frontiers and stuff like that).

This film was an intriguing mix of horror/thriller cliche and very original and (almost) thought provoking concepts. Unlike in the typical horror "flick" the teens brought most of the problems onto themselves replacing innocence with arrogance, pride and retaliation. However intriguing this concept is, however, the film was very poorly executed and over stylized with sophomoric frame composition and transitions. The plot was extremely poorly planned and character motivations remain unclear.

this was one of many problems of the film. It was explained, albeit too unclearly for such a major plot device. I also think it was an unnecessary and campy way to "manufacture" a twist ending without much planning.

Mark took the girl into the woods to sexually assault her, she became frightened and ran in front of the pedophile's car. The pedophile attempted to bury the body, which was reburied in an undisclosed location by the serial killer. The serial killer's motivation here remains unclear

My Bloody Valentine is a 2009 remake of the 1981 Canadian slasher film directed by George Mihalka.

Dark Water (2009) is an American remake of the 2002 Japanese film of the same name.

The Strangers (2008) was originally in America, but has the same exact themes and same exact storyline as "Them" which is a 2006 FRENCH film.

Im with you on Evil Dead, The Shining, and The Exorcist. In my opinion, we had the best horror films back in the 90's, and 80's and so on. Like Phantasm which is ohhh my god, my favorite. And The Fly, The Thing, etc etc.

i agree. back in the day, you watched the movie to be scared and never be able to anticipate the next move, yet nowadays, it's more about teens running around and holding a checklist to see who will die next. i still feel that implied horror scares more than sfx.
