People don't wanna give credit where it's due. The same ones who are sayin that Nissassia weren't good enough, will be the same ones who follow in Nissassia's footsteps next year, and leave out the stunts in favour of dancing. And Peridot did look like Flawless. They had a nice theme and costumes. They can dance, but they brought nothing new to the table. Nissassia had the total package.
They kept it 'simple', yet their style of dance was the most outstanding. They also had the most energy and stage presence. They grabbed our (the audience's) attention and kept it. I hav 2 admit - I was surprised when they were announced the winners, BUT... that was only because I didn't think that the judges would support anything other than the typical st dnc performance. Maybe that's what the other groups competing thought too, and therefore da reason 4 the controversy.

1) Jumpin Jacks (or whatever they're called) to that "shake shake" song by Ying Yang Twins and that Latino guy.
2) Having a Brooke (from Silence) wannabe do a handstand and then direct the rest of his group's body movement by moving his legs in a circular fashion.
3) Having a part where the whole group gathers in the middle, wave their arms/bodies outwards in a matrix fashion (vroooom) and then abruptly return to their original stance (cat)
Age1 and BigKid3000 I CAN'T AGREE WITH YOU MORE! Last year and earlier this year, people tried to diss Ricochet (now Nissassia) for their former dance style (militant etc) and so-called 'biting', but tell me ONE group in this yrs' 18+ category (apart from Nissassia) that didn't rely on either backflips, 'boom boom cat cat', and/or other BAIT things that have already been done by Silence and Flawless...

The opening of Peridots set was different i'll give them that as well as the Rucksac thing but it wasnt anything that I havent seen before! Nissassia's set was gripping from start to finish.. The Dancers in Nissassia worked that stage and made it theirs.. True about difference in opinion about who should have won or not! But thats how it goes most times! & I didnt say you couldnt have an opinion! I just didnt agree..
nissassias set was mre original than peridots da difrence between evry1 else dat performed on 30/07/06 was dat nissassias set was unique in its own rights. Winning was unbelivable! If you were there then you would have seen how we were going on. So0o unexpected because we were moved up into Category 3 only 3weeks before the Competition on 10th July, the day we had to hand in all the paperwork to GForce Productions. We just wanted to go there and give a good show and make a good impact Boy WE WALKED AWAY WITH THE TITLE Lovin It!
i was there and thought they did really well but was dissapointed that peridot didnt even get anything!!! i dont think the judges were correct in their dissisions however nissassia deserved what they got !!!
