First, good on Mr. Garda for actually mentioning the whole idea of "policy". For exactly this reason American politics is completely repulsive, and scary. If Americans were concerned about who's a "secret Muslim" and who they want to have a beer with, when the only policy distinction is whether or not we're having chicken or duck for Thanksgiving, but American policy distinctions kill thousands or millions of people. Reducing politics to who's prettier is partly responsible for these deaths.

Second, it should be noted that all this talk about how "Barack Obama is already the nominee and Hilary just needs to step aside" is obvious political strategy, and no one has called them on it. Barack Obama hasn't started talking about Hilary as if she doesn't exist because he honestly thinks the real race is "somewhere else", he's doing it because it marginalizes her. He's basically won by now, but that's partly because of the success of this very strategy.
