well, as far as I know there's no big issue with this RC plane. The only thing I heard is they first flew it with the small elevators in the front turned off because that way the plane would have"less brisk" reactions. other than that, I don't recall eurofighters RC having any problem at all.
hey fcastellanos1 or anoyonne elso who cares ive being thinking about making my own euro fighter RC but i am kinda worried about the stability but if its an rc plane will it be more stable beceause the just small and light?
Not actually hovering, it's called High Alpha, when the plane slows down, and puts the nose in a high attitude, hovering is 3D planes, nice jet though
Check this for an example of a plane that has no supercruise - Tornado used by several nations doesn't have supercruise - it uses afterburners to get past mach 1 and onto mach 2 (only just). If it takes off with afterburners glowing and doesn't pull back after, it will use all onboard fuel it left the ground with, within about 6-7 minutes, shocking eh? Low MPG, LOL!
the real airplane is designed to be aerodynamically unstable so it is maneuverable in a dog chase and it DOES fly on 70 computers. and laughing doesn't change that fact. make some research.
anyway, it doesn't seem to bother the people who make this plane whether the others believe that or not :P
this is a RC plane which trust/weight ratio is not the same as the real one. neither did anybody say this plane was easy to fly compared to other models even on RC.
@freddytuber -search for Fifth Gear, episode with "race" between Eurofighter Typhoon VS Bugatti Veyron 16.4
I just happened to watch it about a week ago from TV, there's a clip here on youtube with the original commentary, goes something like this..
it's designed to be aerodynamically unstable so it can perform manouvers any other aircraft can not even dream of, that's why it takes 70 computer just to keep the plane in the air -just one of these computers failing could bring the plane down."
Yes, at the moment Typhoon is being developed with TV but none flying at the moment no matter what colour it is. It wasn't fitted originally as it really didn't need it such is it's superior manoeuvrability. And for tommytmt - it's 'ducted fan', not ducked LOL!
yeah. the mirage is a delta wing, with the horizontal stabiliser on the tailplane. the eurofighter is a canard with the horizontal stab in front of the main lifting surface. This compromises the lift a little but increases manouverability and it also has favourable stall characteristics (the horizontal stab stalls before the main wing, thus dropping the angle of attack allowing for easy recovery)
hehehe the funny thing is, there's never been an accident there in which one of those birds were involved although they've tried that before with cheaper planes just for "fun" :P
this looks like so much fun

I think ill stick to my smaller electric Eurofighter but thats cool :)

can anyone tell me how much is the max speed for this type of RC jet?
I'm talking about scale jet fighters, counting those out that are designed for max speed in mind.
I'd guess that the Eurofighter is probably one of the fastest models on the market ..(?)

The Rc eurofighter is one of the best flying rc turbine jet out there i know i have one.

What is with the birds? At the beginning!?!
Hansemax 3 years ago
Prob cause they are scared and the guys flying the jets don't care if they both collide.

Others thought it was a real one, and they wouldn't listen.

Indeed it can super-cruise, just google "eurofighter" and "supercruise" and you'll find your answer.

yepp. JAS can go supersonic without afterburner. love that plane. !

this is a dummy small plane not the realone..this cruises on AA batteries..chill
shahjee1111 4 years ago
Well, the Euro Fighter cruises at Super sonic speeds where as pratically all other jets have to use their afterburner which only lasts minutes
Nat5622 4 years ago 2
F-22 Raptor can supercruise too
wittmann 4 years ago
the eurofighter can not cruise...doing supernonic....the jas gripen can by the way!!!
THe Euro can do rolls and other stuff while flying supersonic

the eurofighter can supercruise.

dude...ever heared of the swedish jas gripen???? Thats the fighter that can go super sonic without using the afterburner!!!!!
Cozorax 4 years ago
i think you will find that the eurofighter can supercruise :P
Nat5622 4 years ago
both the Eurofighter Typhoon and the F-22 Raptor can supercruise. Its not just the Gripen that can do it.

the real ones of these use 70 computers to keep them in the air how do you get a rc version to fly
bangerracer33 4 years ago
Don't believe what they tell you.
70 computers - laughable!
Any plane flies on 3 axis - so 3 gyros are enough feeding into one computer.
Airspeed and power and you are done.
A kid can program that.

future Typhoon in real life will have upgrades such as thrust vectoring and possibly more!

They're already making the thrust vectorable one, its distinguishable coz its black.

Eurofighter RC does it have real jet turbines in this video?

yeap. it's the same. the only difference is the size. it even burns the same fuel as normal sized jets.

Something like it, it has what's called a "ducked-fan engine".

12,000 us dollars.
but I'm not sure of the price. That's a minimum estimate..
fcastellanos1 4 years ago
that looks like a mirage
globemaster3 5 years ago
it's an eurofighter.
mirages have one only delta wing. eurofighters also have a small stabilizator wing in front. but indeed, they're kinda similar planes.
fcastellanos1 5 years ago
yeah. the mirage is a delta wing, with the horizontal stabiliser on the tailplane. the eurofighter is a canard with the horizontal stab in front of the main lifting surface. oops. sorry. the mirage doesn't have the horiz. stabs (my bad) haha.
boksofrox 4 years ago
beautiful. how much costs such a plane?
actionfritz 5 years ago
to tell you the truth, I don't really know. It depends on the size of the plane, the components, etc.
I've heard but not for sure, this one costs more than 12grand.
fcastellanos1 5 years ago
That would suck if it sucked up one of those birds flying around. Very nice plane.
