I own a hackintosh setup (in other words MAC OS X has been installed on my PC) it's a much cheaper option as my setup only costs 1/3 of what a normal mac would cost, the only major downside is you don't get the nice slim design like normal macs do, if apple made it so their OS is available on every computer like Windows is, they would probably dominate Microsoft as a lot of people seem to like macs,but they can't afford it as often,just saying because more people these days are doing media stuff

@JohnisoneGR The method I used is called 'Unibeast + Muiltibeast' it's when you install OS X on a PC using an emulated version of the mac EFI boot system which allows you to boot into OS X and then you modify the system kexts so the OS recognizes your hardware, if you want to know more how I did it I have a full length tutorial on my channel about it or you can google up a site called 'tonymacx86'.

As Apple chooses the hardware, it adjusts the operating system accordingly.. Windows just works with any combination, but lets not start on its efficiency... Btw, this iMac features top of the line hardware (i7 sandy-bridge) and Mac OS X is fully adjusted to it, but you prolly never used OS X

The fastest gaming CPU would be the i7 995X (According to CPUBenchmark net) which only available to Windows (or linux)

Add to that a screen that has a 2560x1440 resolution and your'e already way over 2000 dollars! And you still need a HD, memory, graphics card(!), motherboard, Windows, mouse, keyboard.. Just to exclude the Bluetooth, IR, microfone etc..

The point is, Microsoft will not adjust Windows to any specific configuration, to make it work even better together..

Your brothers MacBook saves even the tiniest amount of energy between keystrokes, because the software is adjusted to that specific hardware, just to name a detail for what is possible

@kktjh1234 im a gamer myself (not the angry birds kind, i mean d3 and witcher and whatever). like i said before, IF you have the money to buy a mac, there is almost no reason to buy a windows. plus you arent looking at VALUE. macs are much more reliable, their OS is great, when you have 8 gigs of ram 7 of those are for YOU. in windows, half of your ram would go to the os regardless of number. the max for windows is 96 gigs of ram while the highest currently on mac is 64
