Piccolo is turning green as the movie goes on, so that isn't an issue, and the only thing wrong so far is that Krillin hasn't been seen and Goku is white. I think instead of angering yourself about a movie that hasn't been shown yet, give it a shot and stop being angry. Nothing in the trailer shows its really been tampered with other than his age.

It's not the same story. Try watching the fucking show for once you ignorant pig. They basically melded three completely different story arcs from the show together and scrambled everything up, got rid of major characters, made any characters they kept look nothing like the originals, and put Goku in HIGH SCHOOL. And there's plenty of generic actors they could find that could play Krillin and Tien. Nobody in the movie looks like the characters anyway, so why does it matter?
And continuing on, I knew this was going to be different, I WANTED it to be different, I WANTED them to update it. I don't mind the story being in present day, I love how they got rid of the talking animals (too cute, distracted you from the main story. But it's like they just did this to make a quick buck. I don't honestly care about Bulma's hair, so much as getting rid of the fucking ALIEN element of Goku. I mean, no tail, no Oozaru apparently, it's TOO different.

The story's a LITTLE different? Dude, if they took a random generic kung fu flick and slapped the name Dragonball on the title, you'd get THIS. Krillin's not even in the movie. And if there's Mai, then where's her master, Pilaf? And....why does Bulma not have blue hair? I mean, is it really so hard to dye somebody's hair blue? And the 200 foot tall apes from the show are now 8 foot tall armored aliens. Transformers was much more faithful to its material.

Dude, I first watched DB back in 1996 and I have to tell you that this movie will suck balls. In DB, Goku was a child and not in High School. There was also Krillin and Burma had purple hair.
I spit on this movie and I hate the fact that everytime americans try to deal with an anime, they always fail; as in the voice overs, opening/closing themes and when they try to make live action movies. THIS MOVIE WILL SUCK BIG TIME.
From a fan who has seen every episode, every OVA since 1996.

I don't think so. We haven't seen anything but a trailer that shows some folks fighting a bit. They really haven't said anything. Piccolo is turning green as the movie goes on, so that isn't an issue, and the only thing wrong so far is that Krillin hasn't been seen and Goku is white. I think instead of angering yourself about a movie that hasn't been shown yet, give it a shot and stop being angry. Nothing in the trailer shows its really been tampered with other than his age.

It's not the same story. Try watching the fucking show for once you ignorant pig. They basically melded three completely different story arcs from the show together and scrambled everything up, got rid of major characters, made any characters they kept look nothing like the originals, and put Goku in HIGH SCHOOL. And there's plenty of generic actors they could find that could play Krillin and Tien. Nobody in the movie looks like the characters anyway, so why does it matter?

And continuing on, I knew this was going to be different, I WANTED it to be different, I WANTED them to update it. I don't mind the story being in present day, I love how they got rid of the talking animals (too cute, distracted you from the main story. But it's like they just did this to make a quick buck. I don't honestly care about Bulma's hair, so much as getting rid of the fucking ALIEN element of Goku. I mean, no tail, no Oozaru apparently, it's TOO different.

The story's a LITTLE different? Dude, if they took a random generic kung fu flick and slapped the name Dragonball on the title, you'd get THIS. Krillin's not even in the movie. And if there's Mai, then where's her master, Pilaf? And....why does Bulma not have blue hair? I mean, is it really so hard to dye somebody's hair blue? And the 200 foot tall apes from the show are now 8 foot tall armored aliens. Transformers was much more faithful to its material.

people don't like it because it seems like the creators are cutting constant corners such as leaving out main characters(krillin, tien,etc.), messing with some of the favorite characters(goku being a teen in a high school of this time) and several other things
they are loosely trying to base it off DragonBall to attract more people and distancing fans and in the process it seems like what they're doing is a repetition of the 1st hulk film...some random story that ruins the movie

Mmhm. With that being said, there's only thing we can do here, just wait and see. Regardless of how it looks, we'll still have to check it out and see what actually comes of the final product. Personally, I don't mind giving my ten dollars for this movie, and if they make another and fail? Who's fault is that, right? We're not the ones losing money in my personal opinion.
Still, let's just see how this one goes in the end, hm? Even if we're all predicting the worst.

All things considered, those who don't know too much about the anime, just might like this. Hardcore purists like the ones who were jumping all over transformers may hate on this, but it still might make it.
Of course, the movie has to actually be *GOOD* for that to happen. I believe age is going to play a big part in this, and with people like me who were born one generation before, the truth is gonna be hard to take with this pill.
I'm still watching it just to say I took it like a man,thou.
