This video is really really old. The family was taking care of orphan moose calf around 1984-1986 or 1987. (Seems to be male) The mother moose was killed by traffic. I don't know what happened to the moose later, but I guess they gave him out to Ähtäri or Ranua ZOO. Propably to Ähtäri zoo as the family lived somewhere in southern Finland.

They used goat which was placed standing on garden table and the moose calf suckled milk straight outta the goatboobs. Poor goat, her hind legs were literally in the air when the calf poked the breasts from underside... :P

If I don't remember false, yes, then calf was found from woods after his mother died in car crash. None of Finnish zoos were able to take orphan moose calf at the time so this one nature photographer got special permission to take care of the calf (as it's illegal to keep wild animals as pets in my country) and raise it.

I'm not sure what happened to the moose later. I can guess it's not easy to handle adult male moose, they get rather aggressive around mating seasons.

Look at all the antlers and guns in the house, and the fact he walks around in an orange vest. The guy is a hunter. He most likely shot the calf's mother and made the choice between letting the calf be eaten by wolves or giving it a chance at life as a pet.

I know of a hunter who shot a cow moose in his yard (he was a farmer) and the calf stayed in his yard so a day or two later, he pushed it into the corral with his horses and cattle and it became his pet moose.

It didn't stop him from hunting other moose though....lol....but that one was never hunted.
