Great video man! The DP are one of my all time fave teams of DC. The music fit it pretty well at that.

Hey,for videos of other obscure characters how about one of ANIMAL MAN or SHADE THE CHANGING MAN(the Steve Ditko version preferably.) they're a couple of favorites of mine as well next to the DP.

Very cool. Wasn't much into the Doom Patrol before the current series by Keith Giffen but I've been enjoying it so much that now I'm thinking about picking up the Grant Morrison run in trades.

There's not a lot  of Doom Patrol Art on the internet. This is the best I could come up with.

New Doom Patrol members were never that popular, unfortunately.

X-Men and Doom Patrol came out roughly the same time. DP about 6 months earlier. X-men didn't sell so hot at first, and the writing IMHO was rather weak.

Doom Patrol had better stories and character development, and coming from DC at the time, that's saying something.

Who gets the movie deals? X-Men.

Who gets a way too brief clip on a children's cartoon and a Vertigo run famous for being artsy fartsy?

@tlyoung88 If Doom patrol was all that great why was the series canceled and the creator kill off the original characters 5 years after being made. And had 2 fail attemps to relaunch the series. Original Doom Patrol 1963-1968. X-men 1963 - Present.

@SSJ3MJ The other fans on this board can answer better than me. X-Men was cancelled for a while in the 60s, and only printed reprints. I've read some X-Men, and was never impressed. Most of my fellow comic book fans agree. The vast majority of Marvel fandom were teens who related to the characters no matter how the books were written. And unfortunately teens can't relate to these old farts who were really freaky for them. So my opinion is that the DP failed because it never found its audience.

@tlyoung88 Wasnt* Also yeah I like the X-men becaues yeah Im young and found my self relating more to the characters. X-men had alot of stories I liked tho. My favorites being "Phoenix saga" and Age of Apocalypse"
