What cave has Neil been hiding in ? Many engineers and mechanics before him have designed and built engines that run on almost free energy. Some were murdered some were bought, some were threatened ALL MEANS of keeping these vehicles off the road were used and the oil companies were successful, why does Young think he's going to be more successful at it ? They don't care who or what he is they'll stop him .
Free energy has already been discovered...all the work has been done by nikola tesla over 100 years ago, it never got put to use because the government had no way of charging for it and putting a meter on it
So let me get this straight, you hate his politics? What do you mean? You hate raising money for American farmers put out of business by large agricultural conglomerates?(Farm Aid). You hate breaking our dependence on foreign oil? (he's developing a car that creates it's own fuel). You hate social justice and civil rights? (he's spoken out on those issues). I could go on, but what I'd really like to know is: are you Sarah Palin?
man..whether you agree with everything about what Neil Young says, it's undeniable that he is a true humanitarian in the sense that he really cares what happens to this planet..and he writes great songs too...
Tata Motors is to introduce the Air Car to India with a deal with MDI in Europe. Tata Motors is set to start producing the worlds first commercial air-powered vehicle.
The Air Car, called the MiniCAT could cost around INRs. 350,000 ($ 8177) in India and would have a range of around 300 km between refuels. The cost of a refill would be about INRs. 85 ($ 2). Tata Motors also plans to launch the worlds cheapest car, Tata Nano priced famously at INRs. 100,000 (£1,200) by October.
A high but excellent goal. We do need to move towards this because soon we won't have a choice. It's great that Neil is using his public voice as a platform. He's always wanted to build a better world. That is clear from his songs.
Neil could sit on his ass and do NOTHING. Rich, old and famous. Or he can try and make some sort of difference and create something that will help alleviate or eliminate environmental damage and human suffering. He's DOING.
Plenty of arrogant and self absorbed people say they're humble. (And I'm not saying Neil Young is arrogant and self absorbed, but him saying that doesn't really mean much)
it's an interview ABOUT him, he's there to talk about what he's doing and what he's done. i'm pretty sure neil just wanted to avoid talking about the old stuff and talk about what's relevant to him because he feels he has something to say to people... like his music.
Yoda was based on Neil Young.

Isn't this a plead for the continuation of the futile search for a perpetual motion machine?
Why didn't Charlie Rose make this observation?
A: He was gobsmacked !
MESSAGE FOR MR. ROSE.
I too make space for Neil Young - but if I sat beside him on a plane there are harder questions I would ask.
