  • Thank you for the video. My new Mark III broke down fast just like the Rugerfirearms disassembly video. I did not have the trouble you had. I did have trouble putting the mainspring housing back in. The Rugerfirarms reassembly video did not show or state that you had to hold the trigger down to put the housing back in. When I held the trigger, like you, I had no problems. Thank you again for your help.

  • dude thank you you are the man i was about to throw my gun threw my window all the other you tube vids failed to mention the little pin in the back that swings.....thank you so much for saving my ruger from ending up in the pond

  • @SuperMakemelaugh >>>>That is exactly where I got hung up, and was about to take my ruger to a gunsmith. Thanks to Pete, I don't have to.

  • Thank you Thank you Thank you. I read the book and watched the factory video. I was ready to pitch the friggin thing across the room, then i watched your video. Ruger owes you BIG TIME!

  • Wow what a royal pain in the balls! If it was not for this video I would have thrown that thing out the window! Brand new first breakdown, only 100 rounds. Great gun but that just sucked, now I know so its downhill from here. Thanks for the all the vids, this one especially!

  • I just bought the same gun with the 6.875" barrel about 2hrs ago. Thanks for the video.

  • The machinist was jerk'n off that day? I thought Ruger has a policy against that?! And stop beating that poor gun!!!

  • Thanks for the great video.

  • thanks for the info, hoping to get a mark 3 22/45 soon.

  • Sonofabitch! Thanks for this video. I just bought a Mark III Hunter, today, with the 6 7/8 barrel. From your video, I think I'd have lost my mind trying to take this apart and put it back together without the tips.

I'm going to go out and buy a dead-blow mallet right now, so I'm ready. (I thought the 1911 was a pain....)

    Your accent - Connecticut?

  • i seen a hunter on impactguns for about $400... ill see what i can find at the gun shows coming up since .22 is soo cheap n affordable lol

  • Thanks for this video it helped me clean my pistol. It's a piece of cake now that I know how to dissassemble it

  • SANDPAPER OUT THE BURRS

  • or steel wool

  • good videos man !!!! just bought me 1 this is going to come in handy thanks again

  • If i buy a new mk111 hunter im never cleaning or taking it apart. I had an original mk1 oldddddd like 49 had to learn how to take it apart. That metal thingy can be used for self defence lol

  • Great Video - Could you recommend the Ruger MKIII Hunter? Do you like the accuracy? I have other Mark III's. I have the 22/45 with the polymer frame and that one is easier to dis and assem back. I think there is more give. But I'd like to know if you could recommend the Hunter? Thank You Sir. sincerely, JAMES.

  • Mine is a pain to take apart also.

  • You make it look so easy lol

  • oh its not when its new!! give it a shot and let me know how you make out! lol

    good luck!!

  • btw, i give you alot of credit for doing a field strip video on the ruger mark III because it RARELY goes smoothly...when i do it i usually wind up cursing a bit getting that main spring back in.

  • i know what u mean man!! when i frist was doing it i was like a F****** crazyman!! lol

  • i've got the mark III 22/45, basically the same field strip. slap it around like a cheap whore and after a while it loosens up real nice. (LMAO)

  • lol!!! cheap whore!!! lol

  • the whole magazine disconnect in my mk3 pissed me off, so i removed it and replaced it with a couple #10 machine washers that were filed down small enough to allow full sear enguagement

magazine in, magazine out, magazine in, magazine out, not needed

  • thats cool but its realy not a big deal anyway.

  • I like that gun. It sorta looks futuristic and classic at the same time. Mabye it the barrel that makes it look like some kind of ray gun or something. I've always wondered how you disassemble these things. Cool vid, lots of good info.

  • thanx bro

  • nice vid

  • I havent seen such a complicated field strip, but the gun seems good to me..

  • Thanks Pete, keeping this one in the favorites.

  • thats a cool vid

  • thanx tater

  • Good vid, but to hell with that gun. Too much trouble.

  • LOL!!! ya thats what alot of people say!

  • Nice video man.

  • thank you
