@MZdontlikemehateme Yes, from the film's that's what it would seem. But, in the book, when Jasper was taking care of James, they were in another room. I remember reading that they couldn't take the smell of the blood and that's why they couldn't be there. I guess they changed it so the scene would look more dramatic with Edward sucking the venom out of her arm while James get's burnt in the background :)
