@guyleclairemusicroom That title has already been taken by Andres Segovia. The guitar would not be what it is today without that man and his beautiful mind.
I really wish the camera wouldn't have stopped filming. The sax sounded like it had something to say. I'd love to hear the full jam. It sounds amazing.
@Mopsi1979 In my humble opinion, there is no such thing as too much technique. To achieve a high techincal level and to be able to use it is one tool for a musician to express oneself and have soul in his/her play, like Guthrie has. However, relying on your technique too much kills the soul.
Yes, yes. Now people know what is the best side of music or not. Everything is a matter of taste. There's no true or false. Wake up and enjoy. Don't like? It's ok too. Find another one you like, don't try to change people's mind.
@akspree but peoples mind when saying guthrie sucks is purely IDIOT..........this called guthrie haters always talk about too many notes too many techniques, it is YOUR BRAIN THAT S*CKS
@Sackvilleshredder- I never said that. The problem, in my opinion, is the rythm and the "art of silence". Really poor. It's like talking to somebody but the guy you speak with never stops talking. That's for instance the difference between D.Reinhardt and B.Lagrene. The first one hit people's heart the second one is listened to by guitar players. I'm sure there's more or less 90 percent guitarist on that link. This proves that's music for guitar players and that's not the best side of music.
@Hardysamnin- This is what I feared. Seriously, can you tell what do you feel when you're listening to that? This is a serious question. I really don't want a stupid fight on YT.
@TheBanyanEmperor He tends to do that more often I noticed! Check out his live version in Tilburg (013), at one point he plays "superstition" over it and continues to play "Axel F" on it as well. Really cool!
Naaa, just Cornford mate. I had one of the MK50 MKII's and their 4x12 cab (and a 2x12). God rid and bought another Dr Z and cab - and now one very happy camper. :)

@YNEHTEM look hes a great guitarist and this is technically impressive in
terms of phrasing etc just because its not slow pentatonic blues doesn't mean it doesn't evoke feeling

personally don't like that tone. no bass or warmth. perhaps just the mic recording.
