  • Guthrie in the bass

  • niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice

  • who doesnt like thins i just cos they cant get how hes so good !

  • seriously wtf! i was gona say the bit at 1:17 but actually il now say the bit between 0:10 and 2:32 :-P

  • Is that Joshua Redman on saxamaphone?!

  • @guitarmagician05 i think it's his regular guy, zak barret. balls out sax man

  • awesome

  • awesome

  • this is really good...i mean really really good....

  • @Turtlesnakemoose

Yeah, it is good! And I think this solo is included in a book called,

Tim Halcomb's guide to essential guitar! :-)

  • Check out Mr. Frank Gambale!!! The Master Guitarist

  • @guyleclairemusicroom That title has already been taken by Andres Segovia. The guitar would not be what it is today without that man and his beautiful mind.

  • Guthrie is amazing. I really just can't get into his tone.

  • I need to wear condoms watching Guthrie play.

  • at 2:08 => black sabbath - iron man ;)

  • @ElMakichero EPIC

  • he improvises so well...yammi!

  • One dislike = One jealous prick!

  • How about Guthrie and Scott Henderson teamed up?

  • The bass player could be Guthrie's brother...

  • @WoWintosh He is...:)

  • @JonasValberg

    Wait, are you serious?

  • @WoWintosh His name is Seth Govan

  • @WoWintosh it is

  • I really wish the camera wouldn't have stopped filming. The sax sounded like it had something to say. I'd love to hear the full jam. It sounds amazing.

  • tumeni notes .... to much technique kills the players soul and without soul no music

    dudidadudidadidua.........

  • @Mopsi1979 In my humble opinion, there is no such thing as too much technique. To achieve a high techincal level and to be able to use it is one tool for a musician to express oneself and have soul in his/her play, like Guthrie has. However, relying on your technique too much kills the soul.

  • Yes, yes. Now people know what is the best side of music or not. Everything is a matter of taste. There's no true or false. Wake up and enjoy. Don't like? It's ok too. Find another one you like, don't try to change people's mind.

  • @akspree but peoples mind when saying guthrie sucks is purely IDIOT..........this called guthrie haters always talk about too many notes too many techniques, it is YOUR BRAIN THAT S*CKS

  • No no no no no!! Don't stop filming!

  • By the way! I didn't mean guitar players are not the best side of music (I play guitar). I mean that kind of music...

  • @Sackvilleshredder- I never said that. The problem, in my opinion, is the rythm and the "art of silence". Really poor. It's like talking to somebody but the guy you speak with never stops talking. That's for instance the difference between D.Reinhardt and B.Lagrene. The first one hit people's heart the second one is listened to by guitar players. I'm sure there's more or less 90 percent guitarist on that link. This proves that's music for guitar players and that's not the best side of music.

  • That sounds fucking hard as hell to solo over!

  • Frank Gambale would be proud. I love both of 'em, no offense.

  • that was just about one of the tastiest solo's ive heard.

  • @Hardysamnin- This is what I feared. Seriously, can you tell what do you feel when you're listening to that? This is a serious question. I really don't want a stupid fight on YT.

  • @YNEHTEM look hes a great guitarist and this is technically impressive in

terms of phrasing etc just because its not slow pentatonic blues doesn't mean it doesn't evoke feeling

  • guthrie needs to cover some bireli django and stochelo songs like...now

  • this dude is brilliant

  • Where's the music?

  • @YNEHTEM - 0:00 until 2:32

  • Perfect.

  • Guthrie is the king of fusion.

  • @metalhead326 yes you re right man!!!!!!!!

  • I really want to hear them play this whole song. that sax player is bitchen too

  • lol he throws a little Fur Elise in there at one point.

  • You are right 1:06 xDD

  • @TheBanyanEmperor

    1:07 to be exact :)

  • @TheBanyanEmperor Classical music quotations, like Bireli Lagrene

  • @TheBanyanEmperor He tends to do that more often I noticed! Check out his live version in Tilburg (013), at one point he plays "superstition" over it and continues to play "Axel F" on it as well. Really cool!

  • It is kind of a glass bottle type tone.

  • fake,........ no realy, fake.........no realy, love guthrie govan and bananas

  • Naaa, just Cornford mate. I had one of the MK50 MKII's and their 4x12 cab (and a 2x12). God rid and bought another Dr Z and cab - and now one very happy camper. :)

  • well thats an interesting solo pattern for spain lol, i like it
