There might be a few things that you notice if you play this first and then play Apollo Justice, but take it from a guy who has beaten everything but the last case on the real game, and seen all the gameplay from this: I think you'll be just fine playing this one first.

I watched fuandon's Lets Play of this. It seemed mediocre at first, but maybe 1/3 of the way in, I realized this case gets REALLY awesome. I'm talking "shut up the people who say that Apollo can never be as great as Phoenix" awesome (though not "he's actually become quite as great yet" awesome). I'm talking a story better than some of the canon cases (cough, 2-3). I'm talking the most high-tension accusation in series history. One big complaint: I predicted the two biggest twists way in advance.

Please make sure you have updated PyWright to its latest version - that is, 0.981 - before you play the game. It fixes an important bug towards the end of the game that popped up recently. All those who had trouble with it, it should work now =)

In other news, the first part of the game is being slightly rewritten, and there are plans for a giant bug fixing revamp, though I'm having trouble finding the right people as of now.

Holy cow dude. I downloaded this last night and made the mistake of starting to play it.

I couldn't put it down. VERY impressive writing; I kept forgetting the game was fan-made. The only problem I had was there was a couple of bugs at the very end that made me have to save and reopen.

I think you should fix the judge's sprite (i mean Strings) because when he get's smaller a black line appears on the top also when you are cornering the real murderer in the 2nd trial when you have to present a certain motive even if you present the wrong evidence (you still get the penalty) but the correct evidence appears for some reason.

Also amazing trial I really like it that was some story you guys pull of 5/5

finish it a week after downloading it. here is my review(spoiler free)

the plot was a bit too predictable so ill give 6/10

storyline was perfect 10/10

court duration isnt long enough, too much on investigation 3/10

lines between hold it and cross examinaton arent that fluent but finding contradiction is the best part 7/10

final coments: glitches are the most annoying like presing hold it at some of the last cross examination causes it to hang

Overall:26/40 (average) best fan game ever.

ZeusAssassin > Shouldn't happen. PyWright automatically saves at each scene, all saves are kept and the "resume" button should happen no matter which way you left the game.

Try pressing F7 in game. If a list of saves doesn't appear, your PyWright download was probably corrupt. Download it again, and PM me where you are so I can give you a script that'll enable you to start where you left off.

Wow, I just figured out what to do. Apparently, you CAN't close Pywright without it deleting all of your saves upon the next load. You can only "quit" the game via the ESC key and resume your session right where you left off. Is this some kind of a joke or am I approaching Pywright all wrong?!

Found what I think is a bug.

After speaking with Meekins and moving to the agency, moving to the Detention Center and being sent back to the agency causes the Criminal Affairs Dept. to disappear from the "Move" list.

At the time I started working on the game, Perceive wasn't supported by the engine. Now that it is, I'm thinking of adding a Perceive scene to the first trial (which'll make what happens afterwards more impactful) in a later version :)

Because that one's not even demo 3, it's demo 2 (which was released more than a year ago),. The page hasn't been updated since... the scene you were talking about has now changed along with many, many other things XD
