  • Besides, do we really need another "intelligent" species like us? It seems that the planet would rather prefer species who can coexist with mother nature than a species who changes the environment to suit our needs. We are putting an awful lot of stress onto this planet and for an "intelligent" species we seem to be putting a lot of our so called "intellect" into self destruction.

  • Even in a few million years later, chimps most likely won't develop complex brain structures like us unless a drastic event begin making them change their life history events. We were probably the "lucky" apes who in a mixture of change of environment (likely due to climate change or competitions between other primates), adaptation, curiosity, discovery (primitive stone/bone tools to later more complex), diet, etc lead us to become who we are today.

  • until chimps evolve and develop enough brain capacity to act on their own instead of trying to emulate us, they will go nowhere....and this process won't take thousands of years, but rather millions, like it happened to us. But I believe they are capable of doing so and maybe after few million of years there will be 2 intelligent species on Earth...who knows

  • @kimskis it will only happen if their environments demand it. evolution maybe chaotic, but its efficient. for the exact reason we dont have elephant trunks hanging off our faces, evolution will not give chimps a larger brain capacity if they dont need it. but sure, chimps in northern africa may end up needing it, while southern ones mght not. maybe millions of years later, after weve killed ourselves off, there will be another intelligent ape. but whose to say it wont be another species

  • this vid is bullshittttttttttttttttttttttttttttt!

  • Stalker!

  • Looking at 10:23, I was thinking. This is so half assed....

  • next week its christmas !! time for all religious fanatics to be excited again !! whatever !!

  • I don't know; Dr. Zaius was pretty smart.

  • Extraterrestrials, The Very Secret of Life and the Truth Wich We All Deserve..

This has been hidden away from us since our very Existence, through subliminal, Manipulation-Mass Hypnosis, Just filthy lies of our so called leaders and rigid believe systems. I find this bubble ( the world) of Currency, Ego, Limits, Lies, War, Death and Destruction really a Tragic System to live in while We All Have The Opportunity To Make This Sick place of disorder&Death the paradise we've always wanted it to be.

  • "between 4 and 5 million years ago, out ancestors started to spend more time on the ground"

outdated, it's really more like 7-9 million years ago

  • On the note of aliens as to why they have not visited us yet I'd say its simply due to the fact that perhaps we are the first civilization in the universe, think about there has to be a first civilization if there's going to be any and they would naturally feel that it makes no sense that aliens haven't visited us as the sheer probability states so and I agree but perhaps we are the first civilization to form in the Universe, its very unlikely but all I can think of.

  • @deanmullen10 the universe is vast enough that there could be an uncountable number of other civilizations out there that just havent come across us yet because of how big it is witht he age of the universe its more likely that and extraterrestrial species would be older then us than it is that they would be younger than us

  • @chichi1742 Well I agree completely but if aliens were 1000s or millions of years ahead of us, I'd expect they would be here already and that we would have met them before we were even civilized. I don't know maybe I'm thinking a little too far outside the box.

  • @deanmullen10 yeah true but that is sort of a hypothetical it makes sense what youre saying but at the same time considering how there are billions of other galaxies we can see theyre all ridiculously huge its very possible that its just too big to effectivly travel space and also space travel is very dangerous theres all sorts of shit that can kill you solar radiation, black holes, super novas, meteors and thats only a few so space faring would be dangerous if we ever meet aliens it will be more

  • @deanmullen10 than likely we will be meeting their probes or machines of some kind not actually biological life forms they would probable explore space the same way as us

  • My theory of life in the universe is that life forming is an extremely rare event, perhaps the formation of life from absolute pure chance happened only once or twice in the Universes history and they evolved on their planets but microbes of those planets spread via panspermia (if the parallel universe idea is true most universes with planets suitable for life don't form life cause its so unlikely but among all the universes some will)

So that's my idea of life in the universe as a whole.

  • i believe in Materialistic evolution

  • i love the study of human evolution

  • 5.45 i want pineapple, get out the way fool.

  • i believe God made man though evolution

    it reasonable to me

  • When religious people ask me how i could believe in evolution, because evolution gives us no propose but to live. And i respond, why must we question are propose and just live like the rest of the species.

  • Onyl thing i hate about evolution is that we have to sleep THATS GAY

  • @kris10ish LOL

  • @kris10ish

And we have to eat CONSTANTLY. Snakes have it much better on that stuff :(.

  • @HmongLauj92 Sorry, mistake. Evolution is a THEORY not a hypothesis. Cheers

  • @leshark yup well the bbc anyway

  • its official... the UK makes the best documentaries!

  • there is no such thing as bad or good evolution, bad and good only apply to humans

  • @prime1307 lol....how?

  • @prime1307 Go away you pathetic religious troll.

  • @prime1307 "who said god created that"

Christians, Muslims, Jews, and other assorted religious loons. Anyway,my original point was that even most secularists blindly accept (parts of) the natural order, specifically aging and death. They blindly assume that 'nature' is somehow inherently wise, fair, and balanced, and that everything 'happens for a reason' etc., when in fact evolution is a brutal, slow, and wasfeful process that simply happens because it can. Only technology can save us.

  • @Parapon3ra Your insane! Death happens becouse how else would we not have overpopulation you nut! I belive that god created the universe and left it from then on to it's own devices and when we die we go to heaven for being good people or heck for being evil, horrible people. That is all.

  • @TheDerekneseEmporer "Death happens becouse how else would we not have overpopulation you nut!"

Actually, death happens because nature doesn't give a fuck about our well-being. It's not part of some awsome plan, it's just evolution being lazy, not bothering to improve our design beyond what is (minimally) necessary for procreation.

"I belive that god created the universe ... when we die we go to heaven blah blah"

And *I'm* the crazy one? GTFO, loser!

  • @Parapon3ra Lol but evolution did a bit change some humans form real ones to people that sit in the house all day long playing games, watching TV etc. I guess that's the new evolution but you must also now evolution took 14/15 billion years just to make humans imagine how much time we'll need to get to space travelling just like travelling on earth, or making robots IQ smarter.

  • Good old BBC.

  • The journey of life leads absolutely nowhere. Nature (evolution) is a brutal, pointless, aimless cycle of birth, suffering, and death. Rinse & repeat until the sun dies. Unless... we use science & technology to liberate ourselves from the tyranny of the 'natural order', transcend biology, and realize our godlike potential. Transhumanism ftw!

  • @Parapon3ra You know that Buddha shought those same answers 2500 years ago. He used meditation to reach nirvanha and escape the cycle you speak of. I'm not a religious man, but for some reason I have so much more respect for Buddhism than Christianity.

  • @cristoholic Actually, science is a method used to gather facts and arrange them in models of theories for understanding. Science is not what is. For instance, theories are scrapped and modified constantly to accommodate new evidence. A flat world gave way to a round world. An earth centered universe gave way to a sun centered solar system. Newton's Law of Gravity was superseded by Einstein's Relativity. Etc... Science is a rational and empirical process used to understand things.

  • Even though religious, I like watching these programmes ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @lovesangels If there's a god, he's an asshole by definition. All this disease, suffering, entropy, and death is not 'artistry'; it's sadism. Tell me, if you had absolute power, would you let all this suffering continue? Would you create thousands of diseases, deformities, natural disasters, and other sources of suffering and death? Would you create evil and let it take over the planet?

  • y wud an alien waste ts time comparing us to apes? hello howbout takin over the world?

  • Look at the ears.

  • ahaha...the difference between this and star wars is that.....people actually believe in this....i ll just add something here....99% of the same DNA between humans and chimps is jut like every evo. assumption proven wrong...latest research showed we actually share 94-93 % of DNA with chimps and that is not even the final result because we still decoded only 3% of DNA genome....-.-

  • As interesting as this video is, the music choice at the beginning is pretty weird. The Blue Danube isn't the first thing that pops into my mine when I think about evolution. lulz.

  • Evolution is fascinating.

  • That is not the test of scientific theories. Tests of scientific theories include passing tests, and falsifiable tests.

I asked what does evolution not explain to you and you had no answer.

    Maybe I could help you.

Evolution does have many answers. Millions of answers. Ask a question about life and I bet evolution either has an answer, or will find answers as time goes on.

  • The test of any theory is whether or not it provides answers to basic questions. Some well-meaning but misguided people think evolution is a reasonable theory to explain man’s questions about the universe. Evolution is not a good theory—it is just a pagan religion masquerading as science.

  • @SwordofSpirit1 What basic question do you think evolution has not explained yet?

  • @freethinkerer "What are you going to say to God when you're standing in front of Him and He's asking why you condoned seed mingling when He told you not to do it?"

  • Great start, on to part 2!!!!!!!!

  • very nwledgable documentary these shud be regularly shown on television rather than those stupid religious sermons

  • does anyone know where i can find the documentary on humans where in the begining there like hairy and eating raw food and like a few years later homo sapiens came

  • @Darkness0111 Becoming Human can be streamed on netflix. A three part series that has some newer stuff.

BTW we lost hair over tens or hundreds of thousands of years. Sweat glands replaced them so we could adapt to the new hotter environment and we could run or walk long distances without overheating as easy.

We ate raw meat until we figured out how to use fire.

  • Does Any1 know a movie, tv series or documentary in which Human civilizations are explained. I'm looking for things that show how certain civilizations lived even BC.

    Ty in advance;)

  • @unseen0000 I am sure there are many. Look at the Greeks and the Romans for the best documented. Humans have been in civilizations using agriculture for ten thousand years.

  • It's just so stupid thinking that why do some people think we came from apes. They're just another form of creatures having similarities; just like the family of felinae having different species. Good lord, the earth is a big place more than you can imagine! We're on a planet not a land! I know that we all started as bacteria, but even bacteria have different kinds.

  • So many races here on earth. Those apes were just the ones died because they were the dumbest of human kind. Different organisms adapt their environment, but not as overdoing like this Charles Darwin's. Humans, animals, birds, fish, insects, reptiles, name it all, are not like micro-organisms that only compose of themselves.

  • (SAP)iens? never heard it being said like that before.

  • This video is great ... it killed religion !

  • @ternens

It did ? Seems alive and kicking to me... Though I do admit that evolution does seem problematic for some literal views of certain creation stories, how ever there are thousands of belief systems out there, many of which evolution does not contradict.

  • @pienipaha If a religions creation story does not contradict the reality that science can show, it is pure luck.

Humans are from a common ancestor of monkeys, not direct descendants.

  • @pienipaha Buddhism is best example. Period.

  • @pienipaha well it did shoe midddle finger to adam and eve religions like islam, christianity, judaism, without adam and eve these religions have no where to go

  • @ternens religion is stupid it needs to be destroyed i feel so sick tht i used to believe in this shit once, death to religion it served as an explanation 4 things 4 events nd provided a reason y they happened even though they may be false but now we know its proven to be false it needs to be given up now we shud adopt secular humanism

  • @thescorpionking2020 it is hard for u to believe in God coz human mind cannot capture what God is. u never know who made us or whats out there. it is an infinite universe and if there is a creator and judge for this universe it must be God.

  • @nektorhond neither do u my friend u also dont know neither do i but atleast i dont indulge in wishful thinking, thr is no proof of any god or any religion being remotely true, the universe seems to be working fine without a god u just hav to c it dat way with ur eyes open, there is no creater nd thr is no judge, the definition of god is contradictory,if u mean a being i dont agree with it but if ur perception of god is sumthin else then we can talk

  • @thescorpionking2020 Everything is a mystery.hopefully when we die we will see who is behind all this

  • @nektorhond well when we die we r finished we wont have any consciousness any more,we'll die not knowing anythin wateva we can know is when we r alive

  • @ternens u never know whats out there homie. God or aliens, or angels or demons (which some say are aliens). who gave us such ability to think and creativity?. maybe some aliens came and took an ape and provided him with IQ and made us. or maybe God came and created us in a form similar to the species of earth. its hard for me to think that we were apes and evolved in such smart species.somebody must have put his hand on this process.peace

  • @ternens

not really just kills people who have a literal belief in creation stories. Most other religious people understand it to be simply mythology to teach morality and lessons blah blah bleh -_-'

  • @ternens Further to which, evolution remains an unconfirmed theory, blindly accepted by everybody, just like Christianity used to be.

  • @ternens Oh really then why don't these chimps get the hell up already, why don't we see them evolving like us. Why don't they have the desire to do so. I mean they are even exposed to us, those who are already so called evolved. Why can't they emulate us? After-all we had to evolve on our own right, we didn't have any guidance. I'm not religiously affiliated am spiritually religious but I hate when people dismiss the highest consciousness who created this world with such precision.

  • @BlackEnergyNews I agree with you!

  • we didnt come from monkeys.... its just us and monkeys came from the same place.

    and humans are animals.

  • @timmi8P LIKE A SOM BO DEE FUCK U BIC

  • @Tazy50 i hit uuuuu

  • @philippines1998 lmao u know ownagepranks too

  • @Tazy50 yea........because last month i was searching ASIAN prank calls then i saw ownage....(im asian)

  • @philippines1998 LIKE A BUK LAU

  • @Tazy50 i du not no yyyy

  • @timmi8P

The ancestor we originated from was a monkey, not a common ancestor with a primitive monkey (other wise our relation to great apes would be quite distant). In short, we are monkeys ! *Ook*

  • @pienipaha Quit misinforming people.

    25 Ma

Catarrhini splits into 2 superfamilies, Old World monkeys (Cercopithecoidea) and apes (Hominoidea). Hominoidea is what we come from.

  • @pienipaha Do you want to complicated it? Face it, we came from one celled organisms.

  • @pienipaha But God made Adam and Eve...... so yeah o.O

  • anyways i need to study this stuff for school hahaha xD

  • @timmi8P lol, we actually did. ;)

first, there were apes, they all lived on trees.. then, 'smart ones' separate from not so smart..

one of them was Lucy, she was (well, not sure if really, they just call her so..) their 'leader' if you get me.

from her on, through millions of years it finally came to homo sapiens.. which are we ;)

so yeah, if everything started in sea.. your grandfather could also be fish :'D

jk, but yeah.. smth like that :)

  • HOW ARE WE SEPERATED TO ANIMALS? If anything we are worse species that has ever exsisted on the planet people think because of our technology that we are "civilised" HUMAN NATURE HAS NEVER CHANGED! we are brutal savages! we have always been at war we have always mass murderd raped stole etc and we ALWAYS WILL! predators hunt for food to SURVIVE! HUMANS KILL FOR PAPER AND FOR OIL REVENGE LAND ETC IF ANYTHING WE ARE THE MOST UNCIVILISED RACE ON THE PLANET!The biggest treat to the planet!

  • @EasytownGirl Do you participate in the horrendous things you just described, or are you behaving differently ?

  • billions and billions of us dominating yeah right more like destroying

  • What's with all the...GOD...talk on here. I actually can't believe that people fall into that rut, and that religion is thought as even being somewhat true. People fall into religion, because they have no way to deal with reality, so they need to hide behind something. Go back in history, and see the true evil belief in different so called ..GODS..and following those religious beliefs. Wars are started over religious beliefs, always have, always will. Look at our world today.

  • @TheGreasepit We are created as moral conscience beings, we are separate from the animals.

If you want to believe that we evolved from ape like creatures, recognize that this is a belief!

Your right though about religion...... it is corrupted.

This is why Jesus said, it is not about religion, the key is a personal relationship with God. ...it doesnt matter when you go to church, or what kind of hat you wear, you must be born again.

  • Comment removed

  • @brandisify no, we ARE apes and we ARE animals, there is no way out of this, even if you were created (ALL the evidence goes against that pathetic fairytale) you are STILL an ape and STILL an animal

  • @blazereef Actually, we are not apes. We share a common ancestor with the apes.

  • @laser325 No black people are apes

  • All humans are, regardless of skin color or other etchnic features.

  • @pienipaha So you don't think they are closer to apes, I heard they stayed in Africa that means they stayed the same whites changed when they moved to colder climates

  • @actoman1

Ahh, the art of trolling.. Either that or you just have no idea how this stuff actually works.

  • @pienipaha How am I trolling it's true

  • @laser325

Which makes us apes as well. If we would only share a common ancestor, our line would have diverged from the so long ago that we wouldn't be as closely related as we are. See AronRa's videos, he explains this excellently (how organisms cannot separate from their ancestral lineage, basically making us monkeys as well as apes, since we evolved from them.)

Common ancestor was what Darwin originally said in his theory, but now we know better :)

  • @pienipaha Quite. Since making my comment, I have found that humans are classified as Hominidae, along with chimpanzees, gorillas and orangutans. This is a fascinating subject.

  • i wish i was a CHIMP! what a great life if would be...

  • in the far future, we will be the fossils to a whole new species. this is probab;y god's plan....i dont know. correct me if im wrong :)

  • @micshia1306 i am now evolving to an old man.

  • i believe in evolution and creation.

adam and eve were probably the 1st ever normal looking humans on earth. but i do believe that we originated from an atom into the autralopithecine, (the branches of ausrtalopithecine-australopithecus africus, boisei, afirensus-,

homo habilis, homo ergaster/homo erectus, in the phylum chordata, in the kingdom of mamalia, into homo sapien, then homo sapiens and i do believe that we will evolve into something else. i think we may wipe out someday...(cont)

  • Pienipaha, nature is so incredible you can't imagine the existence of a single atom and how it works, so don't call our creator, who made the molecules, then into cells, made them change, then combined them with 10,000,000,000,000 other cells to make a human body. Include the structure of the other 10,000,000 species on earth, and the variation between each living unit of the species to have it's own conscious existence, and then combine that to our star system, our star system to our galaxy,

  • Jude2maohany, you kick ass. You couldn't be closer to the same wavelength as I am. Have a fantastic day to anybody who agrees, and ask yourself questions like these to really spark your mind. So long!

  • Badharvs, I can barely wait to watch you burn in hell. I'm non denomination Christian, and I believe that before the big bang, god set everything up perfectly like the first few moves in a chess game. He knew how to make the earth and humankind happen as if by accident, and make everything the way It is. Here's something cool I read: if the universe had a grain of sand added to it, the universe would collapse. Makes you think about a god, but he's hiding behind the scenes without us knowing

  • Them monkeys is cool as fuck.

  • Just out of curiosity, what if someone trained a chimp to walk on two legs for their whole life and that chimp had an offspring? Would the offspring's hips be formed differently? Or would they have to be trained to walk upright aswell? How long would we have to do this before an offspring's hips start to form more like ours? Would trying that even work? Or would it be a waste of our time?

  • Would be a waste of time. Genetic mutations, evolutionists say, are completely random.

So it wouldn't make a difference if you made the parents walk upright or not. If there was a gentic mutation in the offspring, it'd be as likely to be an extra ear, or different coloured eyes.

DNA doesn't think - it doesn't respond to need. So most mutations are completely useless. But when there IS a useful mutation, that mutated lifeform will be successful and much more likely to pass on its genes.

  • i cant wait 2 million years to see one video...

  • @ramaraksha you describe jews down too a tee. Excelleng description, hhaaha

  • idiots, duh....where did human beings come from???? What an insult to our Creator. And I've got news for BBC, chimps are NOT our relatives. Humans are a distinct being, created by YHWH to honor and worship Him, we DID NOT come from chimps but were formed from the dust of the ground and YHWH breathed His very breathe into our nostrils to give us life. ALL animals are a separate and distinct creation, not in any way our ancestors. "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools...."

  • @martiebaby-Well then where's your evidence that we were "created" by this so-called "creator"?. I'll answer that for you, it's because that's what YOU believe in, but that doesn't mean it's true. You're right about one thing though, we didn't evolve from chimps, but DNA evidence still shows that we shared a common ancestor with them in Africa between 5 and 8 million years ago, which means they ARE our closest living relatives! So before you call anybody an idiot, do some research first!

  • @martiebaby what an idiot, no wonder this planet is doomed, give me one bit of evidence to why there is a god, your a reading bronze age texts you moron, there is evidence to evolution, no evidence to religion what so ever, im guessing your of christian faith, would you still be a christian if, when you were born, adopted in iran, then you would be muslim, if your were born in ancient greek times, you would be worshipping thor, i bet u dont have the guts to reply

  • @badharvz I don't think any religion has ever claimed in its original texts there was a proof for God's existence. Faith does not require proof. Making faith related assertions (God doesn't exist?) based on Cartesian reasoning is as ignorant as making scientific assertion based on religious texts. In essence, you are no better than who ever you were responding to.

  • @miankd Mmmm. Perhaps, but those religions DO claim to be the "truth" whatever that means, either scientifically or in theological terms. Science can neither prove, nor disprove the existance of a super-creative force, neither, in my view, should it have to. Faith in God/god/gods is for those that choose to have it, for those that are unable or unwilling to, many choose a scientific approach, many still, choose nothing. Why let logic get in the way of a good internet fight though eh? ;) Peace.

  • @miankd dude, religion is a disease of the human race

  • @badharvz it isn't. Peoples perception of it is.

  • @badharvz Did you catch that, badharvz? TheSobest is a Christian, and he "can barely wait to watch you burn in hell." Apparently he's salivating at the thought of a complete stranger being barbarically tortured for all eternity. Apparently those are his values. Unbelievable...

  • @markviman shouldnt he forgive me or somethinbg? what would jesus do? i feel sorry for these people, but i dont have time to try and show them the truth as they dont want to know so i just laugh at them instead

  • this is stupid fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

  • this is stupid

  • All of these are just theories with substantial evidence, not the truth that we should permanently believe as the final truth.

  • Did the BBC make this for children or chimpanzees?

  • @raysteer

Nope. This was made for some dumb Americans. (No acism intedned... well only to the dumb ones)

  • @ingarsss Whoever it was aimed at it lowers the bar way to much, such documentaries are only entertainment for non-scientists (most of us), but the best of them have some level of detail and at least stretch the viewer a little.

  • I wouldn't let a bunch of chimps hang on me - they just might want to rip your face off!

  • mangoes!!!

  • Okay - I admit it, I go crazy especially when listening to announcers on TV use incorrect English (it's not "he wouldn't hesitate to classify "we humans", it's "us humans", with "us" as the object of Classify. And yes, I had a double major (English & Biology)

  • When do we get to the Adam and Eve part of the story? It seems like you skipped around quite a bit.

  • @TrumanPolly hes talking about reallity you dumb ass

  • @TrumanPolly The Y Chomosomal Adam and Mithocondrial Eve Didn't appear until 200,000-60,000 years ago. Earlier humans have existed since 2'000,000 years, and even earlier hominins have been walking upright since 7'000,000 years (There's even evidence of earlier bipedism like with Morotopithecus and Oreopithecus).

  • @GohanLSSJ2 Yes I learned all about that by watching Battlestar Galactica.

  • Chimps are so beautiful.

  • I like this video but he said 99% of human DNA and 99% of chimp DNA are the same but there is the other 1%, there had to beat a human factor come into play in order for us to evolve into what we are today. Whatever it was that changed us it was neither man nor chimp but something in between. I just wish that all these questions would be answered and all of the speculating would stop. But after all if we found out all of us would lose faith.

  • homo"sapp"ians

  • nice

  • I don't like how this video insinuates we evolved from chimps. It's not correct. We both evolved from a common ancestor who was neither chimp nor man.

  • I hate the way people say "Oh look how intelligent x animal is", mature humans are so far ahead in intellect that it's unreal.

  • that we a re an intelligent species is a misnomer actually. look at george w bush, can we assume that this creature is an intelligent life form??

  • @leklek69 Were talking from a relative point. They're not saying "We R super intelligent and SPESHUL!" We're just saying "We are intelligent compared to, what we know."

And yes, even George bush is intelligent compared to a frog or a chimp.

  • @DemonHermit "And yes, even George bush is intelligent compared to a frog or a chimp." - come on

  • because even if we flesh out exactly how the big bang came to create the universe we now inhabit, the question remains, what started it. maybe a previous universe collapsed in on itself causing our big big bang. who knows. but one thing I believe. EVERYTHING we learn about existence will eventually open up a new question.

  • @mightyafrowhitey infinity is a logical necessity - there can be no ultimate origin of existence.

  • this video is dling so slowly for me, youtube is a pos lately

  • do chimps have same blood type as humans?

  • WTF! This doc died at first few seconds! "he probally most start with the ape???? sure yeah, if he was an ape himself!

  • thank you for upload!!! 5* :)

  • this is all shit,

  • @TheMangoury Says you

  • it truly is an insult to nature for people to say it was designed. It is not perfect. All the diseases, death etc - it is balanced but in no way perfect. A clock works perfectly but breaks if one element fails. If one element in nature fails, something else will replace it...

  • If a clock works perfectly, then how can it so easily be broken? Nature repairs itself, which is perfect. The question: if you remove an element from nature, and nature replaces it...how on earth did it know what to replace the missing element with? If nature wasn't designed, then it was an accident. Question two: How did balance in nature occur accidently? When these two questions can be readily answered, then perhaps we can decide what is an insult and what is not regarding mother nature.

  • @surfbeaconweb

Because they're not accidents. Selection isn't random.

Also it's not perfect - far from it.

And I wouldn't call it balanced either since there's always something off. Selection actually depends much on the fact that things aren't perfect and balanced.

If nature was designed, the designer was an amateur and possibly an idiot.

  • @pienipaha Interesting point of view. However, when you consider the complexity of a single cell, then have that cell work in tandem with countless others to make an equally complex organism, and then in turn have that organism work in tandem with countless others to make an even more complex ecosystem, you will find that it is beyond the design ability of all the brightest minds in human history combined. If there is a designer, calling that designer an "idiot" is a humorous concept.

  • @surfbeaconweb

No, it isn't. The designer has also managed to fuck up several features in the creatures and functions. The complex system of communications also causes loads of problems. These lead to numerous diseases.

It's not just that the "design" of the creatures themselves are more complex than necessary or downright stupid, but the "design" of thesecommunication paths have the same problem. Sometimes they're made so complicated it becomes quite impractical or, as said, lead to errors.

  • Not to mention we have an explanation to the co-operation of cells... it's called chemistry.

  • Yes, indeed. It is chemistry. It is also a complex chemistry, as many Biologists will grudgingly admit to. Which is why pharmaceutical companies are messing up a majority of the drugs they create. The chemistry is controlled by the cells but also affects them. If chemistry is an explanation...then feel free to explain it. Much of it is still beyond the scope of human understanding. How many deaths happen every year from the severe side effects of chemistry misunderstood by bioengineers?

  • @surfbeaconweb

I do not know any biologist who would "grudginly" admit to life and chesmistry's complexity.

Chemistry is not controlled by the cells - cells do not think. Chemistry controls the cells and life.

  • @pienipaha

Lovely how you switched subjects though.

And btw I know shitloads of biologists - I'm studying to become one. Not once has any of the biologists or to-be-ones in the university had problems with the complexity.

Chemistry is a huge part and aid in biology. Every biologist must take some lessons in basic chemistry and cell chemistry because they support each other so beautifully.

The fact that humans make errors doesn't tip us to one way or another.

  • @pienipaha just to be pretentious, everything is ultimately physics...hahahaha

  • I find it interesting that you claim that these are serious mistakes when no human being alive could do it better. In fact, we are still trying to fully understand DNA and RNA. As for the diseases and other issues...are you so sure that these are not intentional? The planet would be badly overpopulated otherwise. It's called checks and balances. Man's manipulation is what has thrown it all out of whack, is it not?

  • no bipedal was always our way of walking but the apes and chimpes lost it as they inter infarther in the forest and and startes to climb on tree to avoid forest predator .were always benn bipedal go look at francois de sarre site
