This is probably my all time favourite Fall song. I also like 'ghost in my house' but apparently that isn't an original Fall song and is a cover of a lesser known sixties northern soul band. Of course, this is also one of the most accessable of their songs and I don't believe a particular favourite with Mark E, but I think the fall were best in the early eighties because they were ahead of the curve. They have always done their own thing but that time they had a finger on the general pulse.

@MegaKevorkian i agree Mark is a bit simple and repetitive but it appeals probably because the fact they actually play instruments and the other fact you can never tell when the song is just random inane goof vs some political statement which he even claimed to do. Music can be an instrument to educate and help memorize i suppose but it's also for fun and to lighten up the mood. this isn't an anti-cop song. it had a specific meaning from what someone tole me.
